  1. I'm still working on mine, it's still in the early sketch stages. But I haven't forgotten!
  2. JTran did an AWESOME job I am really really totally pleased with it!

A side of Rowr rarely seen!
  3. I'll throw this up, drawn by Suichiro, colored by Ishy.

Because they have a special forum just for art, silly.

Glad it got moved, though or else i might have missed this one (why in gods name does none of your pieces appear in my Deviant Art watch thingie? Your journals appear just fine, just not your art )

Either way, on to the piece, and might I say what a damned fine piece it is The lighting you used is very nice and your color choices are dead on excelent!

    Great work!

Make sure his deviations are 'checked' on your watch list. *nods*
  5. That is kinda what I am gonna be doing for farwielder, which I STILL need to work on. I Haven't forgotten about you !
  6. I'm a tiger too, i can be hanging off of a tree or streetlight or something about to pounce, too
  7. Okay this is really derailling the spirit of the thread. I suggest you move your avatar suggestion to the suggestions board or PM Lighthouse directly. It's very likely that they aren't going to change anything as far as that goes anyway.

*not meant to be flaming just trying to get the thread back on track! No offense intended!*
  8. We're supposed to PAY our assistants, kat? O.o
  9. I guess it depends on what style you want to go for. Realistic, or cell shaded/animated type. Cross hatching can be used to great effect, as can the thin white outlines. Really depends what you're going for. You just want to 'indicate' things, you don't have to fully define them. The human eye is very good at reading these visual 'tricks' and filling in the details.
  10. I like the idea of an art gallery that could be updated every new Issue. I mean we are getting 'Comic book covers' as supergroup posters as a vet reward *eyeroll for that*, it would be MUCH more cool to have player create artwork instead.

And NO to forum images/signatures. I can't stand those forums where that is allowed, because people put in these HUGE giant pictures, and only say one line worth of reply, so you're scrolling through and it's just a giant slideshow of pictures. I like how things are now.
  11. Ack! I totally forgot about this too!! doh!!
    *photoshops myself into the pic*
  12. Well I have seen even cross posted threads on the Virtue boards, about art or an art post, that were -not- deleted. I think the bigger issue would be more consistent moderation. Granted I understand the Moderator#'s can't send PM's for every thread they delete stating why, it would be nice if it was more consistent. Right now it's like NCAA college football officiating. All over the place!
  13. Wow! Thank you as well That is very humbling you think i am someone you 'have to have' in there !

*big giant fuzzy hugs for you!*
  14. Use things like White lines to indicate outlines of things, like limbs and outfit parts. Take a look at Crimson Jimson's stuff for good examples of what I mean. Heck just about any comic book inked piece, before it goes to colors. You will see uninked parts to show outlines of stuff.
  15. Yeah I would agree for more contests and such... like remember the movie contest where the winner got their name on the billboards at the movie theatres around town?

It'd be neat if there could be contests to design new billboards and storefronts and things like that.
  16. Hehe yeah I know :P I was joking too but I do think CB should get a special recognition!

What about bug hunter? That's out of the range of most people as well.
  17. No, TA shouldn't get a badge for just having the largest collection. That would be a horrible idea.

Instead, I propose that Celtic Bolt gets a badge for PROVIDING the largest collection of fan art of others, completely free with nothing in return!

    *nods*

    Wow!!

Copying is good. Studying what others have done (properly!) will help train your eyes and your mind and your hands, and THEN you can start drawing 'out of your head'. I'm working on that right now
