"Lazardarus and many others been going out and exploring trying to find a way to control Patches but so far nothing. Thought truth we aren't used to technology and such super science we might have missed something."

Cerelassion smiled at Kethara "Sometimes the young are smarter then the wises of the old. Indeed that was part of our plan if we make friends and contacts we might find a clue to stop patches from ripping chunks of other worlds. Perhaps even reverse things and send us back. So far we still have no clue how to do that. The Builders seemed to have forgot to pass on the information before they left."

He then looked at Akat "For us I'm afraid such is impossible." He motioned to the Gnome who was now following a bug. "Our little friends here are connected to the forest. They can only keep physical form here thought they can leave the boarders for a short time. A day would be to long a time away. We can't leave them behind."

The Gnome clapped it hands and made a silent laugh like a child. It was a strange bing both filled with countless years of knowledge but yet so simple an immortal child.

Cerelassion went off with Toy Dispenser. "I tell you what I know. On what ever world the waste came from it was once a City I never could remember the name it's just a waste land to me. Someone made some kind of super powerful ... what's the term... Artificial Intelligence. Not sure what happened next but it turned on the population. The Humans here are just the descendants of the survivors I am not sure how long ago it was but I say it been hundreds of years maybe near a thousand. From time to time the Bombers find a human and destroy the area."

"There are a few different types the large Harvesters and the Bombers perhaps more. They work like an insect hive operating from the Main system. So far the AI haven't bothered with us it doesn't see us as a target yet. We even had to kill a few humans that tried to run for our gates in view of one of those Machines to keep the illusion that we aren't friendly to Humans. The majority of the Machine forces are focused on a city of Humans farther north they were once friendly but as resources grew low they became desperate."

"I'm sure the only reason that group of humans haven't attacked us is that they are on the other side of the Waste. The Plans make up the other land around us and populated by the Gre'sil a primitive species still in what could be called a stone age thought now with influence from slaves they captured their culture is changing. There are other realms farther south that trade with us about once every three months give or take. They stay away due to the fear of the Machines from the waste."

"This world if you call it that is called Patches made up from parts of other worlds. No one really knows who created this place or why. The majority of us Elves believed it had a peaceful use at first. So far the majority wants outside contact and trade but some want to close our boarders. Fools... It maybe thousands of years but eventually another patch would land right on us. Lady Aineruda knows this as well as I do. Our best chance of surviving Patches is to have allies or we just slowly rot till we are crushed."

The Gnome started dancing and then vanished and reappeared on Akat's shoulder and patted her head.

Cerelassion rubbed his chin a little. "If I missed my guess I think he had a similar idea but couldn't vocalize it." He looked around as the clean up crew were trying to repair the mess. "Perhaps it be best if we went somewhere else. I don't know who that energy draining fellow was nor how his ablity works... But it might dawn on him to come for the sorce of the magic that attracted him here in the first place." He looked to Trisys.

"Mr. Dispenser your the closes thing we have to an expert here at the moment. Do you think we can move her with out causing any harm? I think the human refugee camp might be best I fear what would happen if she is exposed to magical artifacts. The humans might be willing to hel..." He looked at Toy Dispenser then at Trisys.

"Hmm perhaps that isn't such a good idea they have issues with Machines. The refugees have came here from the waste. So far the machines haven't figured out some of their targets have found a safe haven here. Given that they might not like having Androids or any robotic beings about. Ah I know the cliffs we have started carving out living spaces in the very rock. we can use them."

Why not have a real life CoX Costume contest for one of the Cons. I'm sure many have home made costumes like all those people who tried for Who Wants to be a Superhero.

The winner get perhaps a year of CoX free or something like that. Second place autographed pictures of the Dev's characters.

It be both for new players and already established players. It would also cause exposure for the game.

Given others have already answered your questions I'm not going to bother with them much.

Like others said this game is geared to enjoying the ride to 50. We can turn off and on XP gain in order to enjoy the story arcs in each zone.

For your character idea try getting the Martial Arts pack thought not samurai armor it does have a good look. Costume parts are mix and match so everyone can have their own look. Perhaps you can create something you might like.

Once you join the game you start gaining Vet Rewards for every 3 months. The first is the trench coat.

Freedom is the most populated server but look around till you find a home server. At first you get 12 character slots per server that is 132 at start and you can buy and earn more costume slots. Up to 36 character slots per server!

The level of customization is huge two people can choose the same AT and Power sets with different power choices and Invention Enhancements at level 50 have two completely different play styles.

Oh forgot to add... Yes we know your not the Toy department so true we aren't asking about the features coming or when I17 going live. Or when we see more of Going Rogue.

Like others said we want to WORK to keep the City Of Heroes/Villains/Rogues Alive and active for as long as we can.

I started by friends having this game and getting me started/addicted over three years ago. Before that I never played any MMO and had no interest in them. I confess I tried WoW a bit back but I didn't inhale.

Before that I never seen any Ads at all and I only seen the "I'm a Hero, I'm a Villain" Ads Via the game website. SO if it wasn't for my friends I would never have known CoH's existed.

Perhaps one Idea is to ask on the Forums in another Thread "How did you hear / learn about City of Heroes and what made you decide to play?" See what worked in the past as a guide to see if a method of Advertising that was dropped was working.

Oh ps... I also Fly up as high as I can and free fall. Cordless Bungee Jumping!

Greetings Black Pebble. Thought I think it be better to have a Shady name like from the black market. Glad to hear from the Marketing department as well.

One I'm also pro Ingame ads. Again mix and match them so you don't see the same ad all over the place. Mix in some joke/fake ads like for Crey Cola.

Another ingame ad you could do is ad Emotes. Say /e Pepsi and the character would be drinking pepsi. Then /e BurgerKing and the character appears as the KING or the King appears holding out a burger. could even eat a /e Whopper. This would be another way to have in game ads that are both not intrusive but also fun for us players.

For in world Ads I also say try to get on G4tv shows. I can see an interview of War Witch being done. Already G4TV does the MMO Report Blog even get the interview on that would give more CoX exposure.

I also agree to get game reviews to UPDATE the information they have.

I can even see one Ad in my mind. "Dude isn't City of Heroes old I played that years ago I want something Fresh." "With 17 free expansions new gear new places to explore new costume parts. Dude why are you limiting yourself to something that just out of Beta testing! City of Heroes have so much now that you still be doing NEW things for years!"

Well perhaps not I'm not a writer but you get the basic idea. Advertise how many Costume combos that is possible. How many Maps and places to explore. How many Power combinations is possible.

In other words turn what some see as a weakness (The game age) into a plus by highlighting how Much was added. Show even if those other games add new content each month it still wouldn't match the overwhelming customization and Exploration that City of Heroes offers for years.

Thought don't rule out Stalkers with a good build they can kick butt.

My 50 Tanker does Solo well. He's a Willpower/Dark Melee/ Energy The Dark Melee attacks are more focused on single target so the build almost designed for Soloing. With Willpower End isn't a problem and if I do find myself loosing end I just trigger Dark Consumption. Add that to the Energy Mastery and I got a character that just won't stop. However his damage is like most Tankers weaker then other ATs but I do have fun watching the mobs try to take me down. I call it my Zombie build that what I had in mind when I made it "What powers are close to what a Zombie would have?" Yup my name sake Rotten Luck the Zombie Hero.

There were many reasons why Fire was so feared in the Elven Forest but the main reason was the landscape. The Forest had only one quick entrance and exit everywhere else was bowl like cliffs. In other words an out of control blaze would turn the entire place into a death trap.

Aineruda looked at the rising smoke. "Fire... FIRE! 6 Guards with me to the blaze! Lazardarus take four Guards and go with... Those women who are going after that power draining fool. Cerelassion stay with those two machines." She still looked drained but like any leader she was pushing herself in an emergency.

Lazardarus and the four guards looked around wondering where Tafari could have gone. "He wants power... hmm Lets head for the central tree it's the oldest in the forest and would have absorbed the most magic." With that he took off running still dressed in that bath robe followed by the four guards.

Cerelassion looked at Kethara "Your right little lady he's in for it. But now he's really in trouble. Think about it the magic in this area was disturbed by the transformation the Magical energy released here disrupted all but the more powerful Fey. Now however if he's still in the forest. Lets see 2 Million Elves about a third can use magic of some form. Then there are the Skilled Guards. Even an Arrow can hit something vital and seems he was well protected against energy but is his protection worthy of facing hundreds of arrows?"

Cerelassion smiled "Many of those Arrows are my design with nasty tricks like tubes of glass with acid in the shaft. But that's not the best part it's all those fey thought instinctively most would rush to the fire to try to put that out... Hmm but not all so here he was facing about what 20 foes? Out there where the magic wasn't disrupted he be facing much more." Then his face went somber "Of course he might start absorbing the magic out of the Fey. I don't know if he can do that nor do I know what would happen. I think the Fey that gets caught like might die. Then again they live in another plain of reality and only just touch this realm and might flee him to survive."

He smiled and looked to Jade "It seems if I got everything correct that today is your Rebirth day. Welcome back to the living, thought it came at a price." He motions to Trisys "That I believe is your Trisys she has taken on your curse. I hope that all the price the magic requires. I'm Cerelassion an Alchemist here at our humble home."

Just like Cerelassion said as long as Tafari remained in the Forest he would be assaulted by every type of Fey in the area. The ground would spring Golums and spikes even shift to quick sand to slow him down. Trees and plants shifting to grab him. However this would be in the Forest where the magic is stronger. Trees however don't cover everything those Mountainous cliffs however would be outside of the magic of the forest itself but still near. The Fey can't stay long away from the Forest itself with out loosing power.

The sky sprites however would be flocking to the fire Causing a downpour to put out the flames as well as a few earth spirits blasting dirt up and onto the flames trying to smother them. With in the flames were other sprites fire based fey growing more wild and insane as they fed on the fuel for the fire. Normally these Fey would be calm happily burning wood in fireplaces or candles wicks. uncontrolled however madness and hunger to burn things drives them. In other words it was now a battle of the elements Fire vs Air (with some water for rain) and Earth.

I got a DS/Pain on Test got up to Level 21 so far. The demons are so ugly they are CUTE!

Anyway I'm thinking I'm going Thermal in live for the Thermal Armor powers for the demons. The cold demon tends to die a lot. >.>

Edit to add: Oh if you customize the Demonling summoning power >.> Don't know if this will hit live but for now the third minion Hellfire Demonling Fire aura will change to match the custom colors for the Summoning power. *Cough* Pet Customize *Cough*

It's been in Closed for a wile now. Open Beta is the last step in the release processes.

I just tried a cross server instant team invite. I was in the mission and tried to invite someone from Test 2 I was on test 1.

Result: Fail

So this looks to be a mislabeled issue instead of Cross server Teaming.

That's a good idea Commander. Once Test servers are back up I try that start a mission then invite someone from the other Test server to join.
