You're assuming that issues will be coming out at the same pace as before. It's pretty clear that they've accelerated their release times on pretty much everything.

If TV shows can maintain cliffhangers for 9 months, CoH should be able to as well.

DC's new I... Vampire comic has been outstanding so far.

    1. How did you get both versions of the accolade powers?

    2. Why not take Power Burst?

I have each costume set up to a bind.

/bind f1 "cce 0 ccmurderofcrows" will bind f1 to change to your first costume using the Murder of Crows emote. You can replace f1 with any key you like.

Crey isn't formally outed as corrupt until 45-50 unless you run tips in which case you know at level 20. (Villains get it at level 15 through regular missions.) The Praetorian invasion is all over the place. So is "the coming storm". The 5th/Council nonsense is a Gordian Knot. And on, and on....

If content set B is added after content set A in real time, then content set B must take place after content set A in game time as well. In most cases this means A must be removed to make way for B, and there is nothing wrong with that. Dynamic worlds require change, not mere agglutinization.
I don't think the content and reveals need to be linear. I just assume that my characters are like Batman or Wolverine... appearing in about five or six different comic books at a time, each loosely tied to the same continuity, but not necessarily knowing all of the stuff at the same time.

But the fact that we get NO gameplay to explain these shifts, changes or even the core elements of their backstory just leaves for their insertion elsewhere in OTHER group's plots feel forced and artificial.
It's implied in the Indigo story arc that most of the original Directors got ousted/assassinated and replaced after the Cold War ended. Malta had to evolve new goals, and the old-timers like Vrabel were in the way.
  10. Yeah, we saw that when we ran Posi Pt 1 a couple weeks ago. I put in a bug back then, but man... it was brutal. We had 3 /Time players and 2 were Beam/. [Overcharge] gave us back-to-back team wipes.

I call this "Fight To Objectives". No long detours, but no shortcuts either.

But yes, if I start a TF, I make sure everyone is clear on how it's going to be run from the beginning.

I'm just waiting until next week for Street Justice. No biggie, got plenty of other characters to work on.

It also makes sense for the Carnival of Light to be a Carnival because this makes it easy for them to hide their activities, with people who've had their souls stolen simply believed to have been deeply affected, and where the women can wear masks all the time and the walking corpses don't stick out as much. The Carnival of Shadows being a travelling circus is just an extension of who and what they are and the convenience such a venue offers to villains of this type.
We don't the the history of the CoL, or how they draw their power. Seems likely that the CoL started out the way it did for similar reasons as the CoS, that they are powered by emotions, though it seems likely that they "feed" in a more benign way than the CoS.

  15. I sure do like it on my Warshade.

    1. Spring Attack. Everything is knocked down.
    2. Eclipse & Sunless Mire. I'm now resistance capped and damage bonused.
    3. Beatdown.
    4. I eat the corpses.

The knockdown keeps off the aggro in that short time between getting into the mob and hitting Eclipse.
  16. I have a Dark Melee/Regen hoverscrapper and a Dual Blades/Invul hovertanker. Neither run into problems with powers that can't be used while hovering.

When I can't spare a third slot for Hasten, I bump up the level 50 Recharge IOs to Level 55.
  18. In most big shared universes, there's Big Canon, Little Canon, Incidental Canon, and Unpublished Canon.

Big Canon shouldn't be messed with at all. Example: Marcus Cole and Stephen Richter were friends who discovered the Fountain of Zeus together.

Little Canon shouldn't be messed with, but if it's in the way of a better story it should be "written around". Example: Praetorian Earth is an exact dark mirror of Primal Earth/is an alternate world with a different history.

Incidental Canon is trivia that should be adhered to, but has no real bearing on the universe. Example: The Skulls have painted faces/wear skulls as masks.

Unpublished Canon is fair game to be used, changed, or ignored at the writer's discression. That said, dangling plot points should be closed up wherever possible.
  19. Also to help with Confuse in addition to Clarion, people should be running Tactics (Leadership Pool) and Steamy Mist (Storm Summoning) if applicable. Clear Mind (Empathy), Clarity (Sonic Resonance), and Thaw (Thermal Radiation) should be used generously as well, especially on people that are running Tactics and/or Steamy Mist.
  20. I've got a Beam/Time Corrupter set and ready to go. Got the costume and everything, just need to copy the costume file over from Beta.

I want to do a Dark/Dark Blaster too, but I don't have a concept yet I'm happy with, so that may wait.

I'd just be happy allowing tourists to visit the "other side" Ouroboros.

And I say it's not only minor, it's not even a problem at all. It's designed that way to get people to use the market.

As someone pointed out, the market is inexorably tied to crafting. Complaining about low-level crafting without acknowledging the market as the primary engine for acquiring and off-loading unwanted material is like complaining that a car won't work without acknowledging you have to put the key in the ignition.

No insult intended, and it looks like you could teach most of us on how to be condensending. I just think you are pointing out "problems" than can be solved by putting in a modicrum of effort.

This game is far from flawless, but the early-level crafting system is, IMO, way down the list of problems.
  24. My eight year old, without a whiff of coaching from me, can figure out how to buy and sell material in the auction house. And he doesn't have a character over level 22.

This is a fairly bizarre list of complaints, IMO.
