CoX just doesn't work

oh the irony -
Scrappers are just weaker tanks who do more damage, the scalable damage makes brutes quite spectacularly fun to play as your plough through a mission keeping your fury to the max as you juggle your own health and endurance bars, not to mention the fact that they are more survivable than scrappers (they have scrapper power numbers but tanker hitpoints), with fury at the max they are the I find they are the most damaging archetype unbuffed, certainly the only ones who come close from basic power dps output would be blasters and brutes last a whole lot longer in the fight than they do.
So to sum up, brute = win -
[ QUOTE ][*] Having a zone in which is available for villains/heroes to team and interact throughout their entire career. Would play villains a LOT more if i was able to interact with my heroic friends more easier.
[/ QUOTE ]
A mercenary theme could achieve this, considering the ridiculous number of merc villains and the surprising number of 'heroic' mercenaries in comic books it would fit with the genre. All parties are payed in cash as a reason for working together to achieve the same goals... as they work 'better' as a team they get payed more for less work. YAY MONEY -

And Citadel TF would have more variation in it.

It was all perfectly viable till that last one -

Again farming comm officers is NOT an exploit.
I wrote several petitions in beta how easy those mobs can be farmed for xp.....they knew it.
If the devs thought of comm officers to be an exploit they could have removed them 1 week after I14 went live and it became obvious... they didnt.
But they did remove other mobs like prisoners in one day without much trouble.
They knew it, they could have removed the comm officers from MA in one day... they didnt.. so they have no right to blame players now.

Soooo if i understand correctly.
You see a wallet on the table next to you. You tell the person whoms wallet it is, that a thief could grab it. He replies politely but the wallet stay on the table. It ends when you steal the wallet from the table and run away.
After all you did WARN him that there are thieves and that they could steal his wallet right?
So that means that you are NOT a thief right?
[/ QUOTE ]
One simple response: Comparison invalid: Useless!
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong
Exploiting is illegal (in this game)
Stealing is illegal
stealing after warning is illegal
exploiting after warning is illegal
Comparison is very valid.

Just read this post (and not very many others so I dunno if this has already been put to rest or whatever), but the analagy is in fact incorrect. A more apt analagy would be a man sees an apple tree sporting many apples in a public park with people taking some at random points during the day, when he finds a policeman he asks him if it's illegal to take apples from the tree, when the response is "no" he goes back to the tree and takes a few. It's not a perfect analagy and that's because thievery is a very different 'crime' to abusing an exploit, I did the best with what was given lol.

Sorry for the piramid thing, but i think you need to read the OP post to.
I think that you make a mistake here. When we use your analogy the story would be:
A man sees an apple in a public park. He notices it is full apples and that it is easy to take one of these apples. He knows that that is wrong so he warns a police officer. The police officer says thank you for the warning. Then when the park opens he sees that the apples are still hanging there and decides to steal one.
It might be that he saw others stealing it first. But that is not relevant.

Actually it's "I'll let you know if it's deemed wrong". And pyramids are world wonders y0 -

Unless it's a debuffing thermal I wouldn't bother with a corruptor. and I'm pretty sure stalkers suck too now.

Not much though. It started proper when people used it to pay for IOs on their PvP chars, and got proliferated majorly when everyone else started earning IOs of their own. Farming inf was pretty much pointless before IOs' release, a very select few people were PLing before then or doing a run or two to pay for SOs on their new chars.

The long and short of it is, the players who invested money will be annoyed if they don't get any benefits from their efforts, and the people who don't pvp will complain if they do (as they don't and will be at a disadvantage). It's lose/lose.
Just like the i13 and i14 changes' goals of getting the pve playerbase involved in pvp. It's my feeling that the cries of imbalance used by the pve community were just used as excuses not to pvp (or used as an excuse to avoid the measuring of e-[censored] associated with the act; a loss followed by blaming someone/thing else which we've all done), when the truth of the matter is that there were probably les than 100 people on the planet who weren't already pvping regularly that would consider it with the changes implemented. In my opinion the whims of the apathetic were catered to leaving everyone who actually cared about pvp worse not only for the loss of their enjoyable passtime, but the realisation that all their work IOing and practicing had been nullified, leaving only the people so ridiculously addicted to pvp that they would fight constantly in zones at level 1 if there were no better option.
You know I'd probably prefer it if a redname replied to this post saying "Nah we just did it for the lulz" as a reasonable excuse for ruining my passtime, rather than the truth, that the abstract hope that by completely rebooting powers numbers and mechanics to something that would be ridiculous if suggested for pve, they would get all the people moaning (for no other reason than having a good moan) about pvp being imba to get involved. Which was about as likely as it is for i12 pvp to come back. Which is a shame because that's exactly what I want.
/endrandomoutofplacerant -
lol Elec + high ST damage in same sentence. Elec is the most controllery primary imo, and it lacks the Blazesque power that makes a real ST bashing blast primary. Look for the massive ||> in the icon and you have yourself a winner

I find it kinda ironic that there are very few level 50s who don't farm, seein as back when it was just PvPers that did it they were villified (cit: Globey).
