am I the only one that thinks tremor is skippable? it's soooo slooooooooooooooooow. And seein as a lot of doms these days are permadom (with 70% rech bonus or more) isn't there something a lot better you could do with your time? or do the forums just love aoe lol. FYI I do still rate fissure

Don't forget to slot a shedload of endurance cost reduction enhances while levelling up, as SS/DA is pretty much the biggest end hog in the game, in fact I remember a lot of my old mates laughing when I told them I had one at 50, but with enough IO love, its end is fine now, especially if I use effective toggle management (say I'm fighting guys with only guns and swords, I turn off murky cloud, or if I'm fighting like air thorn casters I'll probably turn off dark embrace and certainly turn off tough as that's the biggest end hog for what it does.
Oh and don't forget to manage use of Oppressive Gloom and Cloak of Fear to suit your needs, as if you don't need them on they'll actually hurt your fury if you leave them on (not to mention the massive end drain that cloak of fear puts on your system) as enemies that can't fight you generate no fury for you to hit them harder. -
To be fair to Sonic, Laying down DF at the beginning of a mission on a tank and staying in range is a lot simpler than applying and reapplying EF with every single group you encounter (usually more than once in the bigger teams, if we're talking about uncooperative teammates
), and beyond that, the activation time and recharge downtime mean that even the most efficient rad toggler will have the debuffs laid on much less than the sonic if he lays it on the tank.
Quote:and while it cannot provide resist buffs can provide almost as good of (or better) mitigation via Damage debuffs, heals and more effective control.
Do feel free to detail a counter tho I'm probably a bit too fond of buffs for my own good lol -
Doesn't Dark Pit last for like 3 seconds?

I'm sure sonix will fly up the pop charts once pink shields and dispersions become a reality.

I don't think it's possible to bring extra shame to the political career path.

Sonic is totally useful, Liquefy is enough to make most mobs never hit (from what I've seen, my sonic def is pvp spec so don't have it atm), Disruption Field is an AWESOME way to increase damage output in a team, slap it on a point man, and everyone does more damage AND it stacks with Fulcrum Shift and is a lot less fiddly than powers like tar patch; fire & forget ftw. And I don't think anyone would turn down 31% (54% in the bubble) res to all except psi lightly. FF might be better in terms of keeping the team alive, but for overall support I'd say it was a close call, if anyone Sonic having the edge, with its -res powers, and the fastest activating CM style power in the game. As a sole buffer it may seem lax without heals or end boosts, but pair it with an empath, or a kin or a thermal, and I'd far rather have that duo of buffers than emp/ff kin/ff or therm/ff, the missions will go way faster.
Remember kids: Sonic FTW -
I'm guessing it's just a QoL change to stop that "1xp to next level" business. It's cool, all the jokes about that have been done anyway.
-
iirc I think only Burst takes the -res proc, as I think only Burst actually does -def
Oh, and I'm pretty sure FS + AoE is a tad better than Melt Armor + AoE -
I got a C in General Studies \o/
Just a shame the rest didn't go so well -
I wouldn't go AR on a Thermal if you intend to do any proper healing, as more often than not you'll see peeps droppin while you wait for flamethrower or full auto to finish... and I guess to a lesser extent the same could be said of rad blast. Then again it all depends on how you play, or how you want to play.

Quote:Tbh imop that's a bit of an odd view of football, all this random loyalty and 'spirit' I mean what the fudge is that? I wanna watch the best football I can, just because the motives of the executives may be scew it doesn't stop it being the best. You think Billy Drescal from an estate on essex who runs 12.9 100 metres sprint should get any attention just because he's been 'racing' with one athletics club his entire life? Or because you happened to be born within 30 miles of his birth place? While I can accept that the overall technical standard of football has improved at the top level of the game over here, that doesn't mean it's made it "better" at all.
Premier League football bears as little relation to the traditions and roots of English football as Serie A or La Liga. The ignorance and contempt shown to the smaller clubs by the bigger has been spreading a rot through the root of the game since 1995. The Premier League was set up not to improve the quality of football or improve the chances of England winning a major trophy. It was set up by a handful of powerful men in Manchester, Liverpool and London to milk more money from the game by breaking free of the Football League, the organisation within whose remit it was included the responsibility to ensure fair treatment for all the clubs in the League, not just the ones who were currently enjoying the most lucrative TV beano to date. More recently the same few clubs have threatened to break away from the Premier League itself because they're still not happy that they get to keep as much money as they want.
When Manchester United play Real Madrid in a European tie, what possible interest is there in that for me? How could anyone with a shred of knowledge of the game's history and culture think that I would be likely to favour a foreign-owned multinational with headquarters in northwest England in a competition with a foreign-owned multinational with headquarters in central Spain to see which of them spent the most money, most cleverly? I used to love the exotic, rare treats that were offered by international tournaments, because they showed me new and exciting versions of the game. They were like the FA Cup on an immense scale, where England and Brazil were as different as chalk and cheese, and their matches tactically diverse and exciting and unpredictable. But I gave up watching many of the games in Euro 2008 because the names and style and the games were so utterly familiar - watching the Czech Republic playing Croatia was almost like watching Wigan playing Bolton. The names were practically the same. The style was practically the same. The flavour was practically the same. I'd seen it all before, and I wasn't impressed enough to devote time to the repeat.
At least when United were stuffed like the turkey it is by Barcelona, the new European champions are a club owned and run by their fans and supporters, and not some nutjob plutocrat from the far side of the earth with a Putin complex and the idea that he can make out of football what Howard Hughes tried to make out of Hollywood.
I love football, and always have. But I detest the Premier League. I'd rather watch Norwich City turn out against Hartlepool in the rain than sit on the sofa in front of two generic millionaire-clubs playing soulless football chess. I guess that either you're a fan, or you're a customer. I know which one I am.
I watch football to watch the sport of football, when I was younger I picked a team to support in the Premier League based on their standard of football, not their geographical location or 'heritage', or because I 'hated' any of their rivals. Just because they may or not be ran by profiteering people doesn't mean their football is affected (cept for newcastle utd, lawl). This notion of 'dull football chess' I don't understand either. Just because said billy waves at the local fans every time he competes in a race, doesn't mean I'd prefer to watch him than Usain Bolt, even if I was part of said 'fanbase'. Top quality football = top quality watching, and if you don't want to pick a side to cheer on, don't. Local derbies are a bit dull imop. But whatever I guess I'll never convince you to change your mind and you'll never convince me to change mine.
Oh and Ryan Giggs has been at Man Utd for 18 years now, and that's just in the seniors. So even that plucky emotive stuff peeps seem to love so much and despise premier teams for supposed lack of, does exist in the premiership. -

Doing some nub sums on mids (first damage then activation then recharge)...
Sonic Blast (as a chain with all attacks bar screech 3 slotted for damage vs target with no resistances, where -resistance works the same as +damage in favour of the attacker iirc)
screech: 8.34 1.5 20 (10ish with 2 slots recharge which is what most people have)
shriek: 95.45 - 1 - 3
scream: 151.06 - 1.67 - 6
shout: 255.2 - 2.67 - 10
510.05 damage in 6.83 seconds activation
vs Ice Blast
ice bolt: 83 - 1 - 4
ice blast: 136.2 - 1 - 8
bitter ice blast: 189.3 - 1.07 - 12
441.7 in 3 seconds activation
In terms of spike damage Ice Blast unloads quicker, but Sonic deals more, not to mention the fact that with its lower recharges and the cumulative nature of sonic -res (I can't remember if -res stacks from the same caster but the next shriek after the shout will have 4 sets of -res resulting in an extra 30% damage from before), for the long haul it would seem the damage from sonic is much higher. If you have only 3 seconds to deal damage Ice Blast will get more done but going much beyond that usually results in a win for the Sonic camp I think.
This is my first math monkey attempt, how did I do? -
I'm probably only getting on cause I secretly want to be an American.
Can i join yer club pl0x? :> I much prefer your way of saying 'awesome' (and I think that's reason enough, don't you?) -
Is it wrong that I actually want about half of that to happen?
-
Aww but we own mate, and with mickey owen back in the top 4, a potential partnership with wayne rooney at the next world cup could be a recipe for moderate success :P
Cheers for the support btw but tis Rooks lol, I get upset when people miss the 's', not angry, just upset :< lol -
Quote:If I wanna see a bunch of local lads playin footie, I'll go watch Dorking AFC suck *** and then drown my sorrows in over-priced pub beer. But I watch the premier league because some (well, a lot, actually) of the best football in the world is played there. Yes the money is ridiculously high, but things like this price themselves, people are willing to pay the money and so it is paid. It's how competetive endeavours work if they're popular enough. It seems to remain mostly profitable even in this time of financial worry. Salary caps and 'the draft' is all well and good for things like american football because it's only really played in one country, so the rules affect every team, and the status of the league wouldn't be diminished by putting a limit on how high the money goes. But football is a world wide sport, and as such if you want to get the best players, you have to pay the going rate. This local team affiliation thing I don't really get, unless I actually know the players personally, I would no sooner become a fan of Wayne Rooney than Ji Sung Park simply because of anyone's geographical birth right. I watch football to watch football, not to feel like I'm part of an exclusive club. Football is pretty frikkin all inclusive if you ask me. I much prefer how things work now, with the top clubs raising the best teams in the world and competing at the very highest level.I got your gesture in brotherhood right here...
Premier League is boring. Too many millionaires who don't know what to do with their money. Mind you, it's the same problem in most premier divisions in the major football nations. Too many foreign 'stars', too little homegrown talent. It's not really 'my club' anymore when only two or three of the guys on the pitch are from the club's own talent pool and the others are bought mercenaries who'd play for any club.
Oh, and why should a player stay at one club for his career? They don't own his life, and making a world class player stay at a 5th rate club just cause those are the ones who chanced into scouting him first is a bit silly, the 'loyalty' that some people need to associate with sport as a criticism to the better teams is a bit perverse if you ask me.
Final rant: I'm tired of people going "In my day, players got paid £30 a week and played for the same club until they were 55." Yes, grandpa, and the standard of football in england was a lot lower. I much prefer the way things are now. Premier League #1 (and I'm mainly happy about this because it means I can watch the best football in the world on terrestrial tv cause I'm lucky enough to be in the same country as the greatest football league in the world. Perhaps with the tiniest smattering of FFMesque national pride, irrational as it is)
Oh and Mitchell and Webb ftw. I particularly approve of the 2nd one. "We whooped you silly last sunday" ummmm... :> -
I believe it's quite pathetic in the damage department really, though Dark/Cold really was good in pvp and I was trying to be serious, maybe it looked a bit cooky in that I didn't really structure it lol. Its strength lies in its secondary effects. Maybe you could try one out for a few levels and see if the damage is acceptable? or just compare base damages on mids lol.
