On the attack front, focus on Single Target damage, and animation times are also very important. Shoving out damage quickly over a long period of time is your best bet on a Defender, instead of short period burst damage.

You want attacks which deal the most damage in the least amount of activation time. I have absolutely no idea what the above sentence means and I have read it many times, but yeah, heavy damage in short time is what you want.

I have played both servers alot, and the level of pvp on Defiant, I found, was of very low frequency and ability, whereas you'll be hard pushed to find an empty warburg of an evening, and if you want some team fights in the arena there are two or three sgs who would happily oblige, and the time I remember asking for arena fights, for anything more than duels, in Defiant you're met with a very long protracted silence.

Plus Vindicate ftw.

Except for the fact that that's a lie. Most of the time in serious(ish) build discussions, arena duels proposed are offered to prove a point to a stubborn and incorrect party, to show one toon's superiority to another, not to show whose PvPness is bigger.
