I think hosting it on Union rather then the test server has worked well. We seem to have a much higher and reliable turn out.

I don't think crabs can have anything like tank defenses, and have ranged aoe atacks, and be anything like balanced!
They are probably the least squshy of the SOA though.

I know the thread is kinda done but a concept for this would be some sort of wave emitter, a master of all types of wave emission (except water*), i.e. Electromagnetic (including Gamma Radiation waves) and sound (tro sonix ye)

Tbh Defiant is the weekend PvE server and Union is where the epic RPvP happens.

Doubtful I think because most Longbow high ups are copies of current Hero AT powerset combos, Inv/EM (or SS), Spines/Regen, Emp/Psi, Ill/FF, etc. I suppose the Ballistas are slightly different but they'd just be FFs with S/L res and a melee attack. -

My Crab Spider's second cossie will feature a Duster hat, and nothing else...
Also I'm in Fatality, so my Arachnos armour, altho being made black, will spend most of its time in SG mode. ELECTRIC PINK FTFW -

Perhaps if people 'fear' vindicate too much we could split up or put a limiter of 2 vindicators per team? I wouldn't mind that, as long as I get to team with at least 1 of my mates lol

From what I understand, datamining has shown the last thing stalkers need in PvP is a buff. In fact, the way I read things, this is one of the things that complicates the much needed buff for PvE - any buff must definately not buff PvP and must have a low or minimal buff for solo play.

No only the one you play should be deleted, as it is certainly not the Ice Kin-g and should therefore be deleted as some sort of breach of the EULA.

I have to agree with both sides here.
On one hand I love the opportunity to actually play an arachnos minion, that we're finally getting VEATs, hoping for some great story arcs (that we know nothing at all about and they're the MOST important imho).
We also know very little about the effects of the powers, and much may change since it's not even on test server yet. Whining now seems a bit premature.
On the other hand there is one very valid point: When the hero epic ATs came, well, let's face it: Kheldians are DIFFERENT! VERY different from any other AT. Yes even twith the kheldians a lot is reused (anims etc) but everything is still slightly different, not just the fab sounds.
Looking at what we know of villain epics, that seems to become a disappointment. Costumes are already there, anims, powers. It looks like, ONCE AGAIN, villain side isn't regarded as a real, import part of the game. Looking at the player base I understand that, but they could've gone the other way:
"Hey, there's too few villains, how can we boost the interest for the villain side?".
Now, I'm biased since I rarely play hero-side, but that very valid point sends me into a d00000m spiral!

I see it completely the other way. If the vill veat had been blood of the back stream or avian or whatever the rumours were, I'd be far less excited about getting to play them. I mean a group which didn't exist but now does rarely fit in the game lore well, I felt that the kheldians were very much tacked-on, "oh we're aliens from outer space come to save the world from our enemies from outer space", that's nice, except you never face them except when you have a HEAT in your team, they feel like outsiders, sperate from the rest of the game, its villain and hero groups, and it's ATs. An Arachnos VEAT however... has a place in 'society', it's a member of the group who has controlled the Rogue Isles since it has become accessable to us real-world folk. We know them, we often fight for them, and even more often fight against them. Now we get to see it from the other side. I think that is the exciting part. Something you know will be awesome is a lot more exciting than something shrouded in enigma. -

No, the backpack burst is called Longfang and is a Crab Spider power, so you'll have like 8 bursts by the end. 3 slot rech IO on Suppression and Heavy Burst to shot gun camara spins ftfw -

They wouldn't take away all your pre-branch powers... that'd be harsh... unless they gave you a freespec, but I doubt it.
You will keep your AR and your 'nades when you branch on a wolf, and keep your melee moves when you branch on a widow -

Both excellent suggestions. I mean AoEs critting all the time from hidden is really not so overpowered. Yes, a build up critical Spine Burst would do a lot of damage... but it still wouldn't be a nuke, and is probably more comparable to a Psi Shockwave from Domination... which can be done a lot more often, on an AT which I believe is meant to do less damage.
Also currently, the chance of crit on help/slept targets is similiar (only double the chance maybe? I forget the proc of crit on a scrapper but it's 1/5 for held foe on a stalker) to a scrapper on a regular target... so the amount of crits you score are pretty low, this is of course coupled to the fact that you don't often fight held foes, and slept foes can only be taken advantage of once. A duo with a dominator could 'exploit' (i.e. make use of) this, but there are definately much better duos for pve carnage. -

They won't get Shockwave, will get Wail instead. They also get Telekinetic Blast instead of the far inferior thrust, and they will retain all their previous Blood Widow powers, I think. -
