Unlike some events, TT hops from server to server on a weekly basis.

First Tuesday of the month is always Champion

Second Tuesday of the month is always Justice

Third Tuesday of the month flips back and forth between Freedom and Virtue.

Fourth and (if there is one) Fifth Tuesday are pseudeo-random servers.

In addition, there's a mid-day Saturday event at least once a month on one of the former Euro servers.

The meetup point is the wall right next to the Independence Port gate in Kings Row.

Start times for the Tuesday event is 9PM Eastern.
Start time for the Euro-Saturday event is...ooh, brain-farting on this one. Someone else can answer it.

We normally start the evening off by clearing Kings Row of any Paladin GM spawns that happen to be there (good for a couple merits), then break out into teams for various purposes (TFs, mission teams, tip teams, etc)

Essentially it's a great opportunity for a bunch of tanks to get together and beat the living snot out of anything in their way. It helps newer tankers to learn stuff from people who're more experienced. It provides missions where you don't have to worry about "squishies" and can crank up the difficulty a bit without worrying that 3/4ths of the team are going to go *SPLAT* upon entering the mission door.
Thanks for the explanation. I have two more questions:

    1) How does this work level wise, what level do you need to be?
    2) How does this work for those different servers. Do you need a character on each server or is this in some way cross-server? (I'm on Infinity).

BT is GMT? So that would be 9 p.m. CET?

I am from Europe (The Netherlands), so my guess is that that would be my best bet, as 9 p.m. ET would be 3 a.m. for me.

If you happen to pick up Hurl at level 26 (which I personally didn't on my SS Tank), you could slot it there, although that wouldn't be a great slotting option.

    More info about Set IOs.

P.S. Bookmark ParagonWiki (http://www.paragonwiki.com or http://wiki.cohtitan.com ,they point to the same site), it's your friend, but NEVER follow links to any CoH wiki hosted on the site wikia.com, it's a haven of malware and outdated info.
Yeah, I've been reading the Paragon Wiki. Sometimes it's more outdated than the wikia.com one though.

I looked at this page, but it didn't say it was Ranged Damage:
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Salvo:_Accuracy/Damage

I now see it is mentioned in the page on the Salvo Set.

So check the IO category - like Salvo, it's a ranged set as others said - so it goes in powers that accept ranged sets like Hurl (in the case of Super Strength) or most single-target blasts from blasters and others, like ice blast, fire blast, while fireball, being a ranged power that can hit multiple foes, can only accept Targeted AoE (area of Effect) sets.

Here you can see all the sets and their category. But some powers accept more than one type of set. In your case, Knockout Blow for example accepts melee damage, knockback, taunt and hold sets (you ideally want an end result that gives good damage, recharge and endurance reduction in that power). You can check this by hovering over the powers in the 'manage' screen, which sets each power takes.

Mid's does that too but it may look a bit complicated at the beginning.
Is there a way to see the category in game? I had no clue that something like this was an issue before I spent my infamy and salvage. And I've tried figuring it out before I made this post as I suspected something like this might be going on, given the name "Salvo".

Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to check that page in the future to avoid making this mistake again.

I run on a Mac, so Mid's character builder doesn't work for me. The online version seems to be down.

Ah. Then we should make 3 more alts ;-)
  4. Hey,

I've just started playing and I'm having a lot of fun. My highest level is now a 20 Brute with Super Strength.

I have one problem where I can't figure out what I did wrong.

I've crafted an enhancement "Salvo: Accuracy/Damage" that I wanted to put on one of my Super Strength Powers, but it doesn't allow me to.
I wanted to use it on Punch, but it doesn't work on Haymaker, Knockout Blow, Spring Attack or Jab either.

I can't understand why not, all of them allow enhancements to accuracy and damage.

    Cheers,

    RW
  5. I'm a new player and was pointed here by Hyperstrike as an event that I might be interested in once I've gotten my bearings in the game. Given that I've been raiding a lot in WoW (mostly tank and healer), this indeed sounds like something that might be just up my alley.

Can someone explain what this means exactly?

Thanks for the replies. Info like that was what I'm looking for.

And sorry for asking, but how do I join a channel?

I had started on the Hero side as well, but one of my friends really wanted to play a villain and the backgrounds of my characters (partially based on Mutants and Masterminds pen-and-paper characters) were flexible enough to go along with that. (Yes I do care about the character description, we do decide what missions to do and how based on it. I also try to read it on other players).

I am planning to get to the level 50 content at some point, but it will be a while. I've been a high level raider in WoW for several years. (any guesses how much time it would take a first time player?) For now I just want to fool around though.
My highest level is 18 now, I hope we can do the second part of the Signature Story Arch soon.

We've also been making alts, as we discovered that each counts towards the size of the Supergroup base. Making alts is a lot of fun in this game, as the character creation is such a big part of it.

Any more advice is welcome. I've been reading the Paragon wiki as well, any other sources of information I should know about?

    Hey everyone,

I've just started playing CoH last week and already wished I'd discovered this game earlier. I've been a Mutants and Masterminds RPG player but only played World of Warcraft as an MMO before.

A few friends have joined me and we started our own Supergroup on the Villain side of Infinity. We picked this server because some of us played a MUD with the same name in the nineties.

I understand that the game is ageing and past it's prime but we're having a lot of fun robbing banks in Paragon City and will stick around at least for the next few months.

I've made this post to see who's is active on the forum for this server and to get some advice on how to proceed. Currently our characters are still in the 1-15 level range as we only started after Chistmas. Any suggestions on what to do and such are welcome.

I've watched the [help] channel a bit, as it seems to be used to form group for higher level content as well, but a lot of the acronyms are a mystery to me. I've always been very active in groups and raids when I played WoW. I can find what is available from the paragon wiki, but I'd like to know what is actually being played on this server and how and when I can join.
