    An Idea for AR

Ignite probably has more fans than Beanbag does. You're barking up the wrong tree: The devs have already committed to not taking powers out of sets to replace with completely different ones; it's colloquially referred to as the "Cottage Rule". The closest that you'll get is something like the rebuild Electric Armor got, changing Conserve Power into Energize, or Fiery Embrace being changed from +damage to adding a Fire Damage proc to all attacks. I don't think that what you're asking for can be done within the limits set by the Cottage Rule. And anyways, like SailorET said, Swap Ammo is Dual Pistol's thing; it's not going to be ported to other sets any more than Dual Blade's combos will be ported to Broadsword.
  2. Yes, it works. I sent the code to a second email address, but I don't know if that's necessary. I paid both accounts with the same credit card, and used both on the same PC.

It's really no different than sending the code to a friend for the first half, and recieving one from a friend in the second half.
  3. All three team leaders must be members of the leader's SG. All three teams can and must enter the same instance. All players must enter from the Leader's base.
  4. Any that deal with specific enemies, like Rikti Monkies, Tsoo Sorcerers, or Freak Tanks would have to be left out of a revamp like this. But generic "Kill Stuff" badges, yes please!

    Just checked in-game.

[Sprint] gives a 50% enhancable runspeed boost and a 50% unenhancable runspeed boost, plus a 10% enhancable jump height bonus for 0.29 end/sec.

[Ninja Run] gives 104% enhancable (through buffs only, not slotting) runspeed at level 4 (just over Sprint's bonus) which scales up to 140% at level 50. In addition, it gives a 465% to 695% jump height bonus, and a 111.65% to 136.95% jump height bonus. It costs 0.46 end/sec, which is less than 60% more than Sprint.

But hey, you were right about using both at once!

    Celeb!

Whether you like it or not:

You need to kill 100 Spectrals (in zone, of course). Some say they have to be killed all during one single in-game day, others say that its a running counter that continues day or night until it completes. I'm fairly sure that it's the latter.

When he spawns, he usually spawns way the heck up in the air, and can be a real hassle to find. Furthermore, because he spawns so high up, and can be spawned "by accident" as people street hunt in the zone, he's almost always up, andrarely killed by people that stumble across him.

You probably didn't spawn him because, as I mentioned, he was probably already up. Good luck finding him, from what I've heard, you'll need it.

    Also: It's Caleb.

Single Target: Stone Spears, Stone Mallet, Hurl Boulder, Heavy Mallet, Seismic Smash.
    AoE: Tremor, Mud Pots, Fissure.
    Other: Power Boost.

Tremor has only slightly more damage than Spears, 15' radius, animates SLOW, and recharge isn't spectacular either.
Fissure only does a tiny bit more damage than Tremor, has a smaller radius, and the animation and recharge are only a bit faster.
Mud Pots has less damage, less movement debuff and less than half the radius (meaning 1/6th the total area) of Hot Feet. It costs 25% less, and has a chance to immobilize minions (and Lts if domination is active!). But you have to wait 27 extra levels for it.

The single target melee attacks animate in 1-1.63s each, recharge pretty fast (except Seismic), and hit like a truck. Spears and Hurl are decent too.

IMO, there are more good ST attacks in the set than AoE.

Earth Control is very much an AoE set. Maybe that's what you were thinking of?

To the OP, and the person who has a Plant/Earth at 21: I've been playing a Plant/Earth the last couple weeks, and I just hit 26. He was kinda fun up to that point. Since I got Creepers, he's the only character I've played. :P
Lots of fun, I highly recommend it. Grab Stealth from the Concealment pool, or a stealth IO so it's easier to get the first shot in, lead with Seeds of confusion, hit them with Roots, Tremor or Creepers to make sure you get at least some XP from an enemy that dies fast, use Strangler if you missed anything with Seeds, then go to town with the Hammers.
Optional: I picked up Combat Jumping and the first three powers from the Concealment pool. For four days, I speed-ran tip missions on four level 50 characters, and bought four Luck of the Gambler +Recharge, then four-slotted Roots and Vines with whatever pieces of Gaze of the Basilisk I could get cheaply. +45% global recharge before level 25 is a very good thing.

    Power Boost

But it doesn't boost Assault, because +damage powers aren't affected by buffs or enhancements.

One of the devs commented on it WAY back, and if I remember correctly, the explanation was basically that a +damage power that could be buffed, would buff itself, meaning that within a few seconds of activating it, it would push itself to the damage cap, and so far beyond that no amount of debuffs could negate it. Perhaps they may fighure out a way to make it work differently in the future, but I doubt it's high priority.
  9. OK, how about being a bit more specific? What does either group have that warrants a new Archetype? What exists in either one that can't be done with existing classes?
  10. PPD Cop: Pistol blaster or Defender or War Mace Tank (since they only have three attacks, including Brawl, there's a lot of freedom here)
PPD Detective: Assault Rifle blaster or defender (again, only one attack plus brawl)
SWAT Officer: AR blaster or defender or (for the melee rifle attacks) Huntsman style Arachnos Soldier.
    PPD Ghost: AR/Devices blaster
SWAT Equalizer: Traps/AR defender or AR/Dev blaster
SWAT Sergeant: AR blaster or defender with leadership toggles, or Arachnos Soldier

Psi-Division: Psi/Mental blaster or Empath/Psi defender or any AT with heavy psi abilities

Awakened Division: Peacebringers. Warshades if you want to RP something a bit different from normal.

Powered Armor Division: The Enforcer costume set was created to give us something similar-ish to these guys, since their costume parts don't work with the standard costume creator. Energy/Energy blaster and Energy Melee tanks seem the best fit. Even better if you have the PPD Hardsuit costume code from one of the cons or Meet 'n Greets.

Drones: Not really duplicatable as a PC, not even the robot-style ones.

    Most longbow are AR blasters.
    Bosses include:
    Assault Rifle blaster with Leadership
    Spines/Regen scrapper
    Invuln/SS tank
    Empath/Psi defender
    Energy/Energy blaster
    Storm/Electric defender
    Sonic/Sonic defender
    Rad/Rad defender
    Illusion/Force Field controller
    Gravity/? controller
    Martial Arts/?/Weapon Mastery scrapper
    Ice/? blaster

    EBs/AVs include:
    Everything from Bosses
    A warshade
    Ballistae: FF/energy defenders
Crimson and Indigo: MA and BS scrappers with stealth, or possibly stalkers
    And more

Neither of the two groups really need an AT directly aimed at them, since they can be copied so easily with what we already have in game. All we're really missing are the leg straps and Warden hats for Longbow, and suspenders and bad Hawiian shirts for PPD.
  11. There's a bug that pops up occasionally that makes patrols in missions hostile to static spawns. I've seen it a lot lately, especially in CoV missions. I am almost positive that what you saw was the result of a patrol wandering into your fight, and getting caught in the Terror's fear effect.
  12. Just about any scrapper is capable of soloing well. The same is true of tanks, though I find their damage unbearably low, especially in the early levels.

If you're planning on spending a lot of time solo in Hazard zones, I'd recommend Fire for a secondary - the damage aura will help a lot on the enemies that you're not focused on at the time, and the self heal is very good - and at that level, it doesn't matter what secondary you take, you will take damage, so a heal is very helpful. Willpower would be good too, though Rise to the Challenge, which is a huge benefit, doesn't come until 16 on a scrapper. A tank gets it at 8 though, so it will help a lot more.

For a primary, you'll want at least some AoE, plus one or two heavy hitting single target attacks to take out bosses. Electric Melee and Claws both provide 3 good ST attacks, an AoE and a Build Up power before level 10. In the case of Claws, it's Follow Up, which can be made permanent even on Dual Origins.

I'm not positive that either is the best, but an Elec/Fire or Claws/Fire scrapper should be pretty good at the low levels, with the potential to get even better over time.
  13. I curious about one thing with Return to Battle.... Can it be used while alive? I suspect that the answer is no, just like other self-rez powers with useful side effects, but I can imagine that some people would find the once-an-hour huge buff more useful than the once-an-hour rez.

Though I suppose if you have to be dead first, and really want the buff, you can use Self Destruction first, if you have the Cyborg Booster. :P

    Stacking Procs

But yes, they can go off at the same time. However, the odds against that happening are astronomical. (In other words, it could happen, but you'll probably never actually see it happen)
If a power exists that can take both (I don't think one does), and you slotted both in one, it would be a 0.25% chance of both firing at the same time, or (on average) once every 400 uses of the power. If they're in different powers, such as a GSFC in Tactics and Decimation in a blast, the odds of them firing together become even lower, because the procs aren't going to be checked at the same time (or close enough to overlap) very often.

The helmets DireAngelus mentioned can be seen here and are part of the 51 month vet reward.

Note that all of these pieces are standard costume parts, and can be used on any character on your account (if you have the parts unlocked), but because of how the VEAT costumes work, you can't use any standard costume parts in your uniform slot - including these ones. They're just a way to make your alt costumes look more Arachnos-ish.

  18. /setwaypoint - creates a waypoint on the minimap at your current location.

    Do it, devs. NAO!
  19. We've already got part of what you're asking for. There's a variety of emotes in the game, ranging from active movement (/em kata) to minor movement (/em laptop) to just standing around looking cool (/em stancehero1). There's even emotes that override the default flying animation (/em flypose1). They can be accessed through the popmenu on your chat window, marked with a little "word bubble" beside the typing field. And if you don't feel like digging through the menu for your favorites, you can always create a keybind or macro to activate them at the press of a key, or the click of a button.

I'd love to see a way to pick the default idle animations, run animations, etc. But since they're still working towards customization for Pool and Epic powers, I'm not sure this is something that we'll see soon, if ever.

Look at the date on the OP. The problem was fixed ages ago. The post was made long before that. BBJ necro'd the post to ask if the bug has been fixed.

You are correct that you can't combine invention enhancements. What Fulmens is saying is that you can slot multiple enhancements that have the same effect in a single power (ie, three damage SOs, or an Apoc: Dam and an Apoc: Dam/Rech). The only restrictions are that you can't slot two set IOs with the same name in a single power (though you can slot them in different powers, as long as they aren't uniques), and that if the total enhancement value of all enhancements in a power is greater than three SOs worth (usually, but not always, 95%), they will start to have less effect due to a diminishing effects formula called Enhancement Diversification.
  22. That sounds right. Though it probably is trying to proc on you when you cast.

Generally, a proc in a pseudopet (aka "patch" or "rain") power will fire on the caster (if a self buff) on casting, and then on the pseudopet or its targets (depending on if it's a buff or a debuff/damage proc) when it spawns in and once every ten seconds after.
  23. Each recipe is consumed in crafting. The really expensive ones are usually so expensive because either the IO is individually good, or because the IO is a rare piece from a desirable set.

No, they mean that there is no duration on how long you keep the power, like the ones that expire in 3 days of game time, or 7 days of real time, etc.

All of the Alignment powers are click powers with a recharge and duration (which varies by power), just like standard click temp powers.
  25. Remember that that's based on max HP, so it will scale based on AT and level. A level 50 tank will get 3.25 hp/sec with no bonus HP. Other ATs and lower levels will get less.
