The Envenomed Dagger, often available dirt cheap on the market, carries a -regen debuff, and can be quite helpful against Trapdoor, especially if his regen is only a tiny amount above your damage.

Do you have more than 5 LotG: Global Increased Recharge slotted? If so, and Mids' says there's nothing over the cap, then Mids' is mistaken.
More likely though, is that you used one of the shortcuts to place the same enhancement as the last one you placed, and have been dropping one of the other pieces in the set into these powers; as far as I know, Mids' has no bugs calculating the Rule of Five at the moment. -
Quote:Each trial has a reward table, and when you select a reward, you cannot select that same reward (or in the case of Merits, get diminished rewards for repeating it) for 18 hours.A level 44+ character can get yet another respec. Put another way, a level 50 character who has never previously run a respec trial can earn three respecs by doing any of the respec trials three times. Whether you do the first-tier respec trial three times, do each trial once, or some combination, it doesn't matter in the least. You can even do a respec trial or two, change alignments, and do a respec trial on the opposing side to earn your other respecs (up to a sum total of three respecs earned from Respec Trials per character).
So yes, you could run the Rikti respec three times and get three respecs from it - bit not all in the same day. -

I like walking up to her not in the disguise.
Me: Hi Ashley, wassup? Mind if I head into the Club for a bit?
Ashley: What? Who are you? What are you talking about?
Me: Oh, right! *poof!* Hi Ashley, wassup? Mind if I head into the Club for a bit?
Ashley: Sure thing Dad! -
We have no idea. In the interview, they said we should get more information early this week.

Quote:Close, but not quite.Only rare and very rare recipes can be purchased with A-merits. The Acc/Dam recipe is an uncommon recipe. WAI.
Availability is based on Reward Merit cost.
-Items that cost less than 100 Reward Merits are not available for A-Merit purchase.
-Items that cost 100-199 Reward Merits cost 1 A-Merit.
-Items that cost 200-299 Reward Merits cost 2 A-Merits.
-Items that cost 300 or more Reward Merits do not exist, but would presumably follow the same pattern.
-Items that cannot be purchased with Reward Merits have a special pricing scheme (purples, PVP IOs, Respecs, costume parts, etc).
Because most uncommons cost less than 100 Reward Merits, they aren't available as A-Merit purchases. However, at least one Uncommon costs over 100 Reward Merits: The Steadfast Protection: Resist/Defense, and it is indeed available for A-Merit purchase. -

You only need to get to Vigilante to go to the Isles. In fact, you CAN'T become a villain until after you go to the Isles.
Anything that connects to both Hero and Villain zones can be used to travel from one to the other, except PVP zones.
This includes:
-Pocket D
-The Rikti War Zone
-The Midnighter's Club
-Submariner Janus in Independence Port and Sharkhead
Once you are in the Isles, you need to do Villain tips until you become a Villain. You cannot get a Patron as a Vigilante; the contact will only talk to Villains and Rogues.
Once you've switched sides fully, go to Grandville. Just outside the door to Lord Recluse's tower is an Arbiter (Daos, I think). Talk to him and he'll give you a mission to learn about the Patrons. Once you've finished that, you can select one of them as a contact. It doesn't matter which you choose, once you complete the first arc from any of them and get the badge for it, you will unlock all four Patron Pools, and get an earned Respec.
Use the respec (Respec Arbiters are located in Nerva beside the trainer, and in Port Oakes, around the side of the building with the Pocket D entrance). You can only have powers from one Epic Pool, so don't pick any APPs during the respec or it will lock out PPPs.
If you want to change back to Hero, go ahead. Once you unlock Patron Powers, you always have them, even if you change back to Hero, and even if you do a respec while a Hero; they NEVER go away once earned. -
They provide a way to get stuff without using the market (and more stuff in less time than direct A/R Merit purchases, though less likely to be what you want).
They also give a means to help stock the market, though I doubt that's a priority for a market hater.
I'm not entirely sure what the OP's goal or motivation is in this thread though, nor do I agree with the premise that "we all hate the market". But it spawned some interesting side-discussions, so who cares if the OP phrased something oddly? -

I've reported one or two people because (yes, I have a small monitor, but not THAT small) their sig image took up most of my screen, and it was possible to position it so that, once you added the frames and stuff around a post, it was impossible for me to see any text from that person's post, OR any text from the post below.
That's a ridiculously huge sig image. -
I'd missed that Lohenien was also talking about crafted goods. Carry on then.

A Stone/Electric/Pyre brute with Hover, Fly or a Jet Pack and a top-end build could theoretically solo the LGTF. I'm basing this entirely off Mids' numbers, I don't actually have a level 50 Stone brute to test this with.
Electric provides solid resist numbers to Smashing, Lethal and Energy, which is mostly what Rikti throw at you, plus decent Psi resist. It has +Recharge, which helps with stacking Holds, and has a self heal, which will help against the AVs. Adding defense through sets and pools should make the brute more than sturdy enough.
Seismic Smash is a mag 4 hold, and Char is a mag 3. Slotting for Recharge and Hold duration, it's trivial to get both to the point you can double stack them. With a high recharge build, and possibly help from the alpha slot, you can triple stack them. That's a total of mag 21 Hold, which I think is enough to handle the greens.
Ring of Fire, Fire Blast and Hurl Boulder all have a recharge of under 3 seconds when well slotted in a build with enough recharge to triple stack the holds, so the blues are covered. For the yellows, every brute and scrapper I have can solo one of them (though I usually need a rest period after each), so they shouldn't be a problem at all.
Once Hami's dealt with, the only other thing a brute should slow down against in the LGTF is the AVs.
Dra'gon doesn't have anything fancy other than a lot of damage. Stone's and Pyre's hard-hitting single target attacks should be able to whittle him down. If your defense and resist are high enough, and Energize recharges fast enough, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with him.
Honoree will be more difficult, but his Unstoppable only gives 100% resist to S/L, so Lightning Field and Char/Ring/Fire Blast can continue to do some damage during his godmode. You might have to let him godmode a few times, but you should be able to take him down eventually. Energize and Power Sink will make sure you don't run out of endurance before the fight ends.
A build which can actually do this would probably cost a small fortune (or a large one), but I'd bet it could be done. -
You've said that you've been crafting. That alone is probably the reason you're seeing a higher profit margin. For someone who wants to do the bare minimum and just make the roll and take the recipes to the market, I'd put money on that being a loss in the long run over specific purchases. Also, the OP is listing for 1, so everything's going for the highest lowball bid, which is likely bringing profits down somewhat.
Recipes are where the frugal, patient types bid. Crafted IOs are where the impatient spendaholics bid. The difference in profit margin is quite noticeable. -
This post was quoted in another thread, and I noticed something minor, and thought I'd ask for clarification.
Quote:The gloves aren't purchasable (they're a mission reward partway through the arc that unlocks the ability to earn Vanguard Merits), and they're not "explixitly listed above".What is Account-Wide?- All Vanguard costume pieces that can be purchased via Vanguard Merits in-game today.
*snip*
Is it safe to assume that they'll be included in the pack? I assume they will be, but wanted to ask, just in case someone forgot them, because they're not a purchase. - All Vanguard costume pieces that can be purchased via Vanguard Merits in-game today.

It's a bug. As has been mentioned above, it happens with other factions too, but never with the consistency or frequency that it affects Legacy Chain.
However, being a bug doesn't exclude it from being lore as well.
Before I started, there was a bug that made every citizen in a certain zone head from their spawn point to a certain location. When they got there, they'd find every other citizen in the zone, and all get in a huge shoving match trying to reach that one spot they were all headed towards.
The bug was eventually fixed, and a history plaque was added at the location the citizens all headed for, explaining that a minor villain had been experimenting in the zone with mind control devices, but he was finally apprehended.
It's entirely possible that the devs will work this bug into the game lore, even if it is just a minor off-hand mention on a plaque somewhere. However, since Spoiler alert! the new contact for villainside in i19 is a defected Legacy Chain, it's possible that they may make better use of the bug as part of the story. -
This guy totally needs to get Genericed.

Quote:If you don't have the expansion, you can still get the Alignment Merits by purchasing them for 50 Reward Merits and 20 million Inf from the contacts in the Loyalty Lounges (The Crucible and Fort Trident). It sounds like a lot, but each A-Merit has more buying power than what you're giving up.One more thing: you don't need the Going Rogue expansion to get the alignment missions, but you do need the expansion to get the morality missions (the ones that actually give the merits).
Vigilantes and Rogues are locked out of the Loyalty Lounges, so they can't use the method I mentioned above either. Furthermore, they're not even allowed to have Alignment Merits. If you have any and switch to Vigilante or Rogue, all your Alignment Merits will be deleted! They will not come back if you switch back to your original alignment! So be sure to use any you have up before making an alignment change! -
The absolutely bestest way to get Inf is a combination of marketeering and farming. Even if you suck at marketeering, adding the market to your farming will make you exponentially richer.
The best farm maps in the "regular game" now are the same ones that they were before, except that max level Freaks and Family have had their Inf/XP values reduced. The Demon Farm from Harvey Maylor, the various big outdoor maps from Unai Kemen, the Battle Maiden map from Maria Jenkins, the Demon farm from Tavish Bell and Liberate TV are all good for farming. After clearing the map a few times, you'll want to go to the market and sell the random drops you've filled up on. It'll take some practise, but eventually you'll start to recognize certain recipes as better selling than others. Most of the time, you'll want to craft these and sell them. Silly people will pay anywhere from twice to ten times as much for a crafted IO as they will for the individual components.
The other option is to go play in the Mission Architect. Find a mission that works well for your farmer of choice, and farm the heck out of it. Generally, you'll get more Inf/minute from the kills, but you won't get any drops, except Inspirations and Architect Tickets. Tickets can be traded in for recipes and salvage (and a few other things). I won't go into which categories are best to choose for ticket rolls; there's too much difference of opinion, so anything I recommended, someone would tell you that a defferent category would be better.
Once you've got some rewards from AE, market them just like you would from a normal mission.
If you select a Dev Choice mission, you can choose "Standard Rewards" or "AE Rewards". Generally, Dev choice missions aren't that great for farming though.
Each method has advantages over the other. The biggest advantage to "regular content" farming is the chance for purples. With AE Farming, you have more control over what type of drops you'll be getting when you use your tickets.
One other thing: Do your tip missions. You can do up to 5 each day, and while running them, you have a chance of purple recipes (if you're a level 50). Every other day, you'll be able to do an Alignment Mission. The first Alignment Mission will reward you with 50 Merits. After that, each Alignment Mission you do will award you an Alignment Merit. Alignment Merits can be used to purchase almost anything in the game. If you're tight on money, it's almost always better to get an expensive recipe with A-Merits instead of Inf. And if you prefer, you can sell the expensive item you got, and have enough to pick up a handful of cheaper IOs instead.
Finally, the high prices on the market are paid by the impatient people who value their time more than their play money. If you bid low and wait, sometimes you can get expensive items at super discount bargain prices. When you have enough money later, you can always pull down the bids that haven't filled yet and try again with higher offers. -
Fixed. I have almost 1.5 billion in under a month on a character that's only level 10, and hasn't left the market except to go to the university across the road in weeks.

Both your guides are great, CMA. I've read over them several times, but never used them because I never had an Invuln concept that worked for me. Well, I've got one now and the first thing I did was pull up your guides.
I got a lot out of them, but some of the info is dated. Inherent Stamina in particular makes things a lot different, and Alignment Merits all but eliminate any worry about overpriced or understocked IOs.
So, any chance for a revisit on one or both guides? -
Quote:Also "nip", a light bite, which can mean a Japanese person, or "*****", which is a broken link in maille or other weak spot in armor, and can mean a Chinese person.Well, we've already got "an hero"
Off the top of my head, I've got coon (perjorative for a black person, as well as abbreviation for racoon).
Boobies are birds, as are tits. A **** is a male chicken, as well as several other types of birds. A ***** is a female dog, and a ******* is an illegitimate son. An *** is a donkey. And I'm willing to bet a large amount of this paragraph is going to be blanked out.
It seems ridiculous to me that we complain about how things like txtspk are ruining the language (OMG LOL R U SRS?), but we can remove dozens of common words with innocent meanings from our lexicon because one rarely used definition might offend someone. -
Well, that was actually part of my question in the OP: Is there an official way to ask/person to contact regarding something like this?
