  1. Click the HeroStats link in Bob's sig, click "Mailing Lists" on the sidebar, get to this page, use the address which best matches what you need. I'd suggest the Discussion one first, then the Bug Report, should you be unable to resolve the issue.
  2. Correct. And it does no extra damage on a crit. The instant recharge is the crit.

So, by that logic, it's the fault of Pepsi, Honda, McDonald's, and just about every other company out there that I don't see their ads, even though it's MY choice to not watch TV, and therefore never see those ads?

The company's marketing department's job is to get advertisements out to people. It is NOT their job to stuff those ads down people's throats. If people want to avoid those ads, it's their right. If people choose to avoid those ads, it's silly for them to pop up later and claim that the company didn't do a good enough job advertising.
  4. You could easily make one with only bosses. However, because people used to abuse the hell out of it in just the manner you're describing, your XP is now nerfed heavily if you don't have a mix of minions, lieutenants and bosses in a faction.

If you really want to know the details of what goes into these farms, just go to AE and type in "ambush farm" you'll get dozens, if not hundreds, of hits. I'm not entirely sure that discussing AE farms and how to make them is acceptable on the forums, since technically, creating farms in AE is not the intended usage, and your missions can be deleted if they're reported as farms.
  5. Any single target attack from your primary will auto-crit from Hide. Assassin Strike will (of course) get a much bigger crit. Concentrated Strike will do no extra damage; its crit causes Build Up to automatically recharge.
  6. No, that's an Essence of the Incarnate, which can be upgraded to a Drop of the Well.

Notice of the Well and Favor of the Well are similarly named, but earned through totally different means.

I myself visit the forums frequently but due to a busy work schedule and moving to a new apartment totally missed the announcement. When I did finally see it.. the time had ended. I have many friends who play and almost NEVER read the forums at all.
It was also on Facebook and Twitter. People who want to get announcements have the means to do so. Those who want to ignore the announcements have nobody to blame but themselves.

    2) Why do the server transfer BEFORE the discounted slot purchase? To me that seems TOTALLY backwards. Many people need to free up slots BEFORE They transfer toons over. This seemed very backwards and not well thought out. They should have been made available at the same time
    Fair point.

    Quote:
    3) They should have been made available for a LONGER time period.. Bottom Line.. some people live week to week with their paychecks. I have a pretty tight budget I am in that situation at the moment. It might take me more than a week to get enough cash together to transfer a few toons. Some people get paid every TWO weeks... They should have made the offer available longer.. again this situation doesnt affect everyone but its something that I feel should have been thought about.
I would be one of these people that you're talking about. Last week, the grocery store had turkeys on sale. Each cost less than a chicken does - Awesome deal! But I was broke, and couldn't afford to buy one until after the sale was over. Then, I had to choose to buy one at regular price or not at all. Did I write a nasty letter to the manager, accusing him of being unfair to those who didn't have money the week turkeys were on sale? No. I missed the sale, too bad for me.

    Quote:
    4) Why do this BEFORE you merge the server list ??? Maybe I would have liked to transfer a toon onto Union ??
Fair point again, though I suspect that it's more relevant to the people who want to move from the EU servers than those that want to move to them.

    Quote:
    5) Why dont transfers have a discount all the time? Character slots do.. When you but more than one you get a little discount. Why arent server transfers the same way.. it doesnt have to be 50% off but one or two dollars off here and there helps.
Because transfers are tied to a single character, and used at the time of purchase; they cannot be "banked". Since they're used on the selected character, and you can't select more than one character at a time, there's no way to buy a block of them.

That being said I think they should re-relase the discounted server transfer for that might have missed it... ANd they should extend the time longer..

    Slow Resistance

There's a few defensive powersets that include powers that grant 20% or 40% slow resistance. By adding a Winter's Gift Unique and a few PVP sets, it would be possible to get 100% slow resistance.

Would this be like 100% damage resistance (where the effect is completely negated), or 100% status effect resistance (where the effect is halved)? Mids' doesn't show one, but is there a cap on slow resistance, and if so, does anyone know what it is?
  9. I don't get it. The level 50 sells for up to 1 billion regularly, both the crafted and recipe versions. Why would you offer the level 10 for less than that? Yes, you'll save the listing fee, but you're throwing away 300 million at least.

    Wanna Tank!!

Invulnerability is a decent choice for a tanking brute. You get good resists and a decent amount of defense, which can be augmented with pool powers and set bonuses. And since you can get 50% Defense Debuff Resistance, you'll be less likely to suffer cascading defense failure than a pure resist-based brute that added defense. It's got an excellent taunt aura too, though you do have to wait a while for it.
  11. Thanks, Chad and Eric, but I'm just gonna go with the "AFK in a base" method, especially since it's been officially sanctioned. And just in case I fall offline, I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope the 2500 log in to get the badge unlocked for the weekend.

Power Boost - Reduced strength of all versions of Power Boost by 33%, removed Knockback boost and removed stacking from the power.
  13. Last I heard, the proc does nothing. If it has been fixed, it missed the patch notes - I'm pretty sure it's still broken.
  14. It would also have a chance to buff you when you first summoned the creepers. Totally not worth it for that one small chance.

Not really. They regularly sell for 2.5-2.75 billion here in the Market Forum, and I've often seen them for 2.25. Also, they sell daily, sometimes more often, on the market - which can't possibly be more than 2 billion. On the market, it's essentially a lottery, but every time one goes up, SOMEONE has to win - that's how I got mine.

In short: 2 billion is only 2/3 of the way to a Glad Armor if you're impatient enough to throw away anywhere up to a billion more than you need to.

I dislike when I'm forced to rely on other people for my badges. I'm not talking about team-related stuff, like a Master Badge, I mean that it will be impossible for me to log in during that window, so the only way for me to get that badge is for 2500 other people to earn it for me.

Or I can go AFK in a base 3 hours before they start handing it out, and get it that way. I don't like it, which is why I don't have most of the badges that need days of AFK farming for most players to get them. However, there's no guarantee that I'll get this badge any other way, so I'll take it the only way I can get it.

As far as cycling the server to boot AFKers before the event: Bad idea. Very bad. Freedom is the most populated server. There WILL be a lot of people playing normal content that don't care about the event. There may even be a significant number who don't even know about the event. How would you feel if you had just started a BAF when the 30 minute warning came up? Or if you were in the middle of a TF? Or if you were in a mission that took longer than you expected, and the servers went down before you finished, forcing you to restart? Or any of a multitude of other disruptions and annoyances that could happen as a result?

If the devs don't want us to game the system to get badges, they shouldn't make badges that a significant number of players are unable to get by the intended method. When Posi said he was surprised at the lenght players would go to to get badges (what, 5 years ago? 6?), it was understandable. Now, after numerous badge requirement reductions, the AE badge nerfpocalypse, and other badge changes? Not so much.

I'm not happy with the event as a whole. I can't participate in any of the events (on my home server or otherwise) unless I wake up in the middle of the night (for me, I work graveyards, and it ends an hour before I get up). If it turns out that there's badges attached to the event, like the ones in the Rikti and Zombie invasions, I'm doubly screwed. The devs took an event I was excited about, and turned it into a fail, in my opinion.

As you might notice, the quotes in the "Victoria" part of the name make the game think the Name argument for the petcomname command ends after Mk-VI. Since there's no pet named Mk-VI out, the command fails. This pretty much means it's impossible to give the Vicky individual commands.
Actually, /petcom and its derivitives support partial name matching, so it will find the right pet... and then give it the command Victoria" Essence" attack - which is where the problem arises.

I thought only Keyes Island Reactor was coming before i21, and the Hamidon Trial was supposed to be released with i21?

Either way, Incarnate content is supposed to be a frequent addition in the future.
  19. The event is (was) scheduled for a 3 hour period which varied by server. Only people participating in the Freedom event would get the badge, which would be account-wide, meaning that if you get it on one character, all your characters - past, present and future - would get it. EU players would not be left out because the list merge is supposed to happen before the event.

However, people were pretty upset that the badge would only be available for three hours, and only on one server, and that that server would be crashed because every player in the game would be simultaneously trying to log into it. So, according to Zwillinger's post (check the Community Digest, it's near impossible to copy/paste links on this phone), the announcement was rescinded and the awards were going to be adjusted. The old announcement can be ignored, pending the new announcement when they figure out how they're going to fix this.
  20. These all sound good. Your Seismic Judgement sounds like one of the two I've thought of (but never suggested). The other would be a rush of flying swords, inspired by Battle Maiden in the Apex TF.
  21. When level pacts were introduced, the Devs said that they'd consider expanding them based on datamining results. I'd assume that this means that they have the means to tell how much the pacts are being used, including how much XP a character earns for themselves, as opposed to XP granted to them via the pact

I find it more likely that there are only 6 characters who went 1-50 without the aid of the pact system. For one thing, I know at least 3, possibly more, characters that hit level 50 in Praetoria (all using pacts) - I doubt I personally know half of the characters that Posi is talking about.
  22. I play lowbies more than my high level characters. However, I save all my common salvage as I level, and when I hit 22, I craft a pile of common IOs, usually 75% or more of what I need. The rest, I buy the salvage and craft my own.

What are you trying to sell? I list common IOs at 50-75% of market value and they fly off the shelf - If they're level 25+ and useful types (damage, resist, defense, recharge, end, endmod, acc, heal). If they're low level or less desirable, I list them for 1 and delete them if they don't move in a day or two. So if you're selling crap commons, I'm undercutting you, and I'm not the only one.

If you're talking about sets, only very specific pieces of certain sets at just the right levels usually move.

If there's market activity on the items, and yours aren't moving, though, that means that someone is undercutting you and counting on people not bid creeping. If that's the case, your choices are to pull yours and list lower, buy theirs and relist them (you'll probably crash the price, at least short term, and could lose money), or be patient and hope they eventually sell out.

But if you're just selling random things like level 23 Basilisk's Gaze: Acc/Hold and level 27 Pounding Slugfest: Damage/End... don't expect them to fly off the shelves.

    Thanks for the link.
  24. Right now, there are only two versions of Ouroboros: One for heroes, one for villains. Neither contains Praetorian missions. I also eagerly await the ability to flashback the Praetorian arcs.
