I disagree. An attack that misses does no damage, and Invincibility adds +ToHit for each enemy near you.

    Cool hotlink, bro.
  3. I always thought that was just a NPH quote. Then again, I've never heard of that character before either.

    Morality issue

I'm not sure that I see the issue. Yes, doing the morality issue gave you a fame point. But it also counted as a hero tip, and filled your meter partway. If that filled you to 10, then the Alignment mission will still drop for you - those don't care about your fame points. And in doing your Morality Mission, the guy who joined you would have gotten his first "Hero tip".

It's all working as it was designed to, and I have no idea what you're complaining about.

That's what I'm, talking about. It seems to only happen with large amounts though. Like I said, sending 1 inf from a character with 7 "cost" nothing. Likewise, sending everything on a character with only 2 or 3 million works, as expected.

It's the inconsistency that makes me think that this is a bug.

Now that you mention it, I see the hard hat, bandanna, and baseball cap that various Scrapyarders wear in there. But I still see the Mekman head. I think it's a collection of NPC hats.

Was it? I thought it was from defeating "Trick" spawns while in costume. Either way, the costume was required. I think the OP is asking for the change so that the tip (and thus, the badges from it) would be available year-round, instead of just during the event.

If you're still farming Council Empire or Battle Maiden, then go ahead and farm with a WP or Invuln. However, Fiery has been the best redside farmer forever (where the two most popular farms could tear apart ANYTHING, so killing them faster was more important than being survivable), and with the ambush farms that are most popular right now, Fiery brute > Any other brute with a damage aura > any other AT with Fiery > any other AT with a damage aura > everything else. Yes, I put your Invulns and WPs in the bottom category, and it's true.

There's a LOT of disagreement on which category and which level range is best. And that's a good thing. If we all rolled 10-14 Bronze, then Steadfast -KB, Karma -KB and Steadfast Res/Def would quickly become worthless due to oversupply. Likewise the good recipes in any other range or category. Your best bet is to roll in each of the categories that people suggest and find the one that gives the return YOU feel happiest with. Remember that, in most cases, you have to craft the recipes to get the absolute best return.
  9. I really wish I could remember who said it, and it was probably in a Beta forum, so it's likely gone anyways, but when they were weighting the drops, someone publicly said that "natural" drops would continue to have even weighting, and that only rolls would be weighted. At that time, Pool C and D were only available by Merit Roll; boss drops had not yet been added, so I suspect that they were specifically talking about Pool A and Pool B drops maintaining equal drop rates.

Unfortunately, without knowing where to find the post, I can't go back to reread the post to either confirm this, or see that I had misread it.

However, I am sure that what I said with regards to purples (ie, each has an equal chance to each other) is correct.

If you do that, you're wasting tickets. By the time it's telling you that you're not earning tickets, it's too late.

The per mission cap is usually 1350 or 1500 on the maps most farms use. Check how many tickets you have before starting, and add 750 to that (assuming you're on a 1500 ticket map). This is your target number. Watch your salvage, and as soon as you pass the target number, head for the glowie to complete the mission. On completion, you'll receive a bonus equal to what you earned in the map. If you earned exactly 750, it will push you to the cap. Earn even 1 ticket over 750, and the completion bonus will push you over the cap, so anything past 750 is wasted time.

    ParagonWiki says:
"The combined C & D Pool recipes are now also weighted by usefulness. This means recipes from IO Sets which are used more by players (e.g., melee sets or ranged sets) are more likely to drop than recipes from lesser used IO Sets (such as sniper or taunt). "

This is specifically referring to drops and NOT random rolls.
The combined Pool C & D recipes (also known as Merit Rolls and Gold Rolls, previously Task Force and Trial rewards, respectively) aren't drops, except the very rare occurrence of one dropping from a boss class enemy.

EDIT: A link would be nice. I have no idea where you're quoting that from.

    I like Luminary's costume...

EDIT: The old one, that is. Not too big on your redesign of her. The one by Hercules looks OK, but reminds me too much of IVy.
  14. The Halloween tip requires that you be in a costume to get it. Even if they did make such a change, the tip would only be available during the Halloween event, for 2 weeks after (until the costumes expire), and to people who have the convention hand-out costume codes. Wouldn't help most players at all.
  15. Texture files look very odd when flattened. I'm not sure, but the metallic almost-circle reminds me of the "helmet" part of a Zenith Mekman's head.
  16. I've had that happen too. Sometimes, it takes the lost item a long time to come back (3 days was my record). I never lost anything important, so I've never petitioned it.
  17. Whenever I send an email with money in it, the total is ALWAYS wrong. For example, just now, I was consolidating the Inf on a few characters. The current character claimed the email, putting him at 485,761,152 Inf. I tried to send myself an email for 485,761,150 and got the popup saying that I didn't have enough Inf to send the mail. I reduced the amount to 485,761,140 and the email sent... leaving me with 7 Inf.

This has happened to me EVERY time I have sent money in an email - the amount I send plus the amount I'm left with NEVER adds up to the amount I started with. It's usually a very small difference, and I'm always shorted.

Is there an undocumented fee for sending Inf via mail, or is this a bug? I worry that, if it's a bug, that one day, someone will have a much larger amount skimmed than just the 5 Inf I lost here, and it may have already have happened - maybe even unnoticed.

To test, I just sent myself another email, this one with only 1 Inf attached, and I was left with the expected amount - 6 Inf. It seems the "skimming" only happens with large amounts. Maybe it's a rounding error somewhere?

  19. Nope. Any additional trays after those first three are all free-floating.
  20. According to City of Data, it applies Immobilize, -Recharge, -Runspeed, -Flyspeed, -Fly, Jump resistance, and -Jump. No other effects.

All drops in a pool have equal weighting*. That means that when you get a purple, you have an equal chance for each set, and an equal chance for each individual recipe within the set. Purple sets include Confuse, Sleep, Hold, Immobilize, Stun, Pet, Melee, PBAoE, Targeted AoE and Ranged damage. That means that each time you get a purple, there's a 50% chance it will be a mez set, a 10% chance for a pet set, and a 40% chance it will be a damage set.

So yes, you do have a better chance to get the les valuable recipes, but it's a 60/40 split, or 1.5x more likely. But random is random, so there's no guarantee that you'll get 2 "good" purples for every 3 "crap" ones.

*Drops only. Rolls can have variable weighting.

    Hover plus Burn?

If you're near slanted ground, you can sometimes trick the game into thinking that you're on the ground, and it will let you use ground-based powers while flying. But it doesn't work on flat ground, and it's nowhere near reliable enough to rely on.

Conversely, if you're standing on sloped ground, or standing on a small object like a pile of rocks or an altar, the game will sometimes think you're falling, and won't allow you to use ground-based powers. If the power fails with a message sayin that you need to be on the ground when you are, look for level ground. I got killed once because an ambush spawned in right where I was and pushed me onto a rock, and suddenly I couldn't use Foot Stomp any more. :/

    Suggestion

Can't you already do this? I know that if I were to pick Tech Crey as a tights option, I could apply any of the same patterns that I could use on tights. I don't use the Armored category, because I don't like the bulky look, but can't you use patterns on them as well?

My understanding is that if the arc is 1-3, and your difficulty is +2, then you'll go in at level 1 fighting level 3s. As long as you can still do enough damage to one-shot them (or whatever it took before), you should still be OK at increased difficulties. Of course, I've never been sure how the level-based scaling worked, so I don't know if this would actually work.

It's too bad that there's no IO sets that exist at this low a level. That means that the only purples and PVP IOs would contribute set bonuses, and I'm not sure either would contribute any really meaningful bonuses.
