Last I heard, combined enhancements cannot be put on the market or email, but they should go in storage bins just fine - I have a 50+ Hami-O in my storage bins right now. You can also trade them to another character either through the trade window, or by drag and dropping them on the recipient. Note that, at one time, using the drag and drop method stripped the +'s off combined enhancements. I don't know if this was fixed, so I'd recommend not trying it.
Unfortunately, there is no way to move a combined enhancement to a different server. -
I've seen that happen before - can't remember what triggered it. I think it was one of the chat or global servers having issues, and it should clear up if you just wait a bit.
I just pulled a recipe out of my email and resent it to myself with no issues. Try it again now, it may work. -
Quote:That brute would be a villain, and as such would unlock Arachnos Soldiers, not Kheldians.Well, if the OP is only trying to get the hero Epics unlocked, the fastest way is a claws/fire brute in AE fire farms. You get spin at lvl 6 and pretty much easy mode after that. Level 20 comes very quickly.
A Claws/Fire scrapper could do the same thing, but with the lower damage cap, would benefit less from eating a pile of inspirations before entering the mission. -
/emailsendattachment @Roderick Money 999999999 0 0 Enjoy!
Please type it EXACTLY like that. *heh heh heh*
The first argument is the name of the recipient. The second is the title of the email; put it in quotes if it's more than one word long. The third is the amount of inf you want to send. The fourth and fifth are integers, and I have no idea what they do. The sixth is the message body. Again, if it's more than one word, put it in quotes. -
Pocket D has teleport suppression. However, the suppression is off if you're standing on or near the base teleporter, if you'd rather leave that way.

There's also a link to the list in the launcher, so it's easy to find before logging in.

Initial attack only. For toggles and patches, if they last more than 10 seconds, it will proc on activation and once every 10 seconds, just like an IO proc.
EDIT: When Interface was first introduced, it added it's effects on every tick of every power, making it ridiculously overpowered - people with Reactive and multiple patches, like a blaster with Rain of Fire and Caltrops, could put out nearly continuous nuke-level damage. This was a bug, and has since been fixed. -

Quote:I think the intention was to say that your "Inner Gimp" feels lonely or neglected, because your listed 50s are all sets that are rather trivial to turn into raging powerhouses. What? I'm not sure exactly what your "he must be lonely" statement means.
I know you already decided, but if the Shade turns out not to be your thing, here's my 2 Inf:
Dark Armor. I'm surprised Dechs didn't mention it. Because it's mostly resists and a heal in the low levels, it works best with high HP, so tanks and brutes. The damage aura works wonderfully with fury, so I prefer brutes. Pairing it with Dark Melee gives you a bunch of -tohit to layer your mitigation, and Dark Consumption to refill your End after Dark regen flatlines you (less relevant once you're well slotted, but a lifesaver in earlier levels). And don't worry about the Mez Auras messing with your fury - with new fury, they only slow you down a bit - you'll never notice it.
(Fire or Archery)/Devices blaster. Add Super Speed or a Stealth IO and you can stealth past anything (remember to use Smoke Grenade on high perception and anti-stealth foes). Yay ranged Stalker! Devices has no Build Up, so I recommend NOT pairing it with a set that doesn't have Aim, but that's just my preference.
Plant/Earth dominator. Seeds to confuse everything, Immobilize them when they get close together, then let the enemies and Carrion Creepers do most of the work. With a hold in both the primary and secondary, you can mez a boss even without domination, and the hammers and Seismic Smash will make short work of them. And it gets Power Boost too! -
The contacts in hero Ouroboros may look the same, but they're not the same contacts as the ones on the villain side. When you switched to a hero, all your villain missions were abandoned, and your villain contacts were removed from your list until you go back to villain side.
If you had story arcs open (and you had at least one - Mender Ramiel's), they count towards your arc limit. If you had too many arcs open, you won't be able to get ANY new arcs until you go back and finish at least one. It sounds like this is what happened to you. -
Quote:And I got a LRSF going on Victory in under 5 minutes and turned away 3 people because we filled on a Thursday morning when it WASN'T the WST and there were at least two other TFs forming at the same time. If it's taking you that long to form a team, you're doing something wrong. In what I consider prime time, it took me an hour to get a team going for a ITF on Victory when it was a WTF. To me, that's worthy of the "dead" tag. And yes, I used the known channels for the server as well. I would love to play there more, but it's frustrating to do so.

Sam, there's just one thing I don't get about your request:
If it's the login screen, then we haven't logged in yet. If we haven't logged in yet, then how does it know who we are? If it doesn't know who we are, how can it pick one of our characters to display?
And no, saving a local file while your logged in, and loading it later doesn't work - you'll still get someone else's character if the computer is shared. -
It doesn't matter if you're in flashback mode or not, the story arc completion bonus is weird.
Take Darrin Wade's arc on the red side. If you run over and do it the instant he becomes available, you'll get an ENORMOUS bonus - 6 or 7 bubbles of XP usually. However, if you do his arc just before you outlevel him, you only get about a half bubble of XP.
I think that the reason for this is that each arc has a fixed reward. If so, that would explain what happens in my example above. Unfortunately, that means that low-level arc might give a 5000 XP bonus, which is huge to a lowbie, but the same bonus to a 40+ character is slightly more than what you get for defeating a single boss.
My suggestion, if you want to maximize your XP rewards, is to start at the bottom and work your way up, so that as you do the arcs, the gap between their level and yours is as small as possible. If you're close to the level the arc is meant for, the XP bonus should at least be noticeable, even if it's not huge. -
Quote:Under the new Paragon Rewards system, the Vet Reward wings will be part of the Tier 3 rewards, which means that if you have 9 months or more, you'll be able to select them when Freedom goes live, and if you have 12 months or more, you'll be guaranteed to have them.Sadly, I've been on and off too much and am far behind on veteran rewards
Thanks for the replies anyways, I might skip this one, since I'm not too sold on the beast heads or legs.
I'm starting to think there's some sort of shortage in terms of wings though, since I can't seem to find any that fit my taste (and I do have the mutant and steampunk boosters).
Furthermore, if you've been subbed so little that you don't even have one vet reward, once Freedom goes live, you'll get one Paragon Reward each month, meaning that you'll have those wings in 3-5 months, depending on the order you pick your Tier 3's in - and that's assuming you start from 0.
Then again, if you wait for Freedom, you can use your monthly stipend of points to buy the individual pieces from the booster pack, so if all you want (for example) is the bird head, then that's all you buy - and you can save the rest of your points for something else. -
-
SB grants +Runspeed, +Recharge and +Recovery. All but the runspeed are available through purple bonuses.
-
No, there are no wings included. However the bird parts match nicely with the Angel Wings available as the 15 month Vet Reward, which (judging from your join date) you probably have access to.
-
While you might find someone who's willing to make that trade, you also might want to consider just selling the one you've got, and then wait for someone to post the IO you want or a "I have merits, will buy whatever you want with them" post, or even just offer to buy on the forums once you have the cash from selling yours.

I farm on a Level 10 claws/fire brute slotted with Training Origins. If anyone tells you that you need anything other than a brain to farm, they're either lying, or doing it wrong.
If your only reason to get GR is to get a level shift for farming, I'd say don't do it. Once CoH: Freedom goes live GR will be included in all VIP accounts, so if you continue to pay your sub, you'll have access. However, if you want access to all the content and powersets that come with GR, I would consider it money well spent. -
Concerning the OP's unaddressed concern:
Money on the market doesn't count towards the cap (hence why some people are suggesting storing your Inf on the market). If you make a sale that would cause you to go over the cap, the market will not allow you to claim it until you divest yourself of some of the excess cash. -
There already IS an upgrade function. In fact, you even mentioned it in your post.
Also, the formula you described does NOT work with inspirations - inspiration conversion is always a new type in the same tier, never an increase in tier. -
That's the thingie I was looking for! Thanks!
Though that's not the thread I was looking for; he posted it in at least one other place. And what's with the IP address instead of a DNS? Does that point at the same forums, or some mirror somewhere? -
There was, however, a post by Castle that asked which powers we want new animations for. Like David's "All things art" threads, we were told not to take it as a guarantee, and that anything that did come from it would almost definitely take a while.

With the the thesis that patience is the ultimate virtue in the market because if you wait long enough someone will make a horrible error in your favor ?
Impressive. -
I recently saw a tool that someone had made which showed the current time in Paragon City, based off the real world clock. Of course, I neglected to bookmark it, and when I wanted to show it to someone today, couldn't find it.
Does anyone have a link?
