  1. The devs recently said that the amount of data stored in a character file is surprisingly huge, so if this is supposed to be stored server-side, I don't think it would be a good idea.

However, if the information is stored client-side in a text file on your computer (like the file that re-orders your list), or is just the character description already saved in your character file, then sure, it sounds good.

    Change Origin?

Not entirely! The biggest effect origin has is determining which DO/SO enhancements you can use (yes, some people still use them. And with Freedom coming soon and Free players being locked out of inventions, even more will). If you switch Origins, what happens to your slotted DOs/SOs? Do they get deleted automatically? Sold back at respec prices? Stop functioning as if you had outlevelled them? Keep working, but in the future can only be replaced by enhancements of your new origin?

In addition, there's a few temp powers which have different functions based on your origin.

I personally wouldn't object to seeing the ability to rechoose your origin, provided the cost wasn't too high - there's been times I've wanted to do exactly the same thing. But there are both balance and programming issues to take into mind - who knows what might break, that might not even seem related, should such a change be allowed?

Exemplaring down to 1 locks all powers taken after level 6 (exemplar level +5). Yes, you need to skip an earlier attack.

No. Even recently, I have been on respec teams where people are doing it because they actually need the respec. Shortening the timer on a team that's already struggling will make it even harder.

The proper solution is to change the trigger for the ambushes. Instead of having them on a timer that is based on when you entered the room, they should be based on a timer that counts from the defeat of the previous wave. Probably give about 30 seconds between waves so that teams that need it can have a moment to regen, recharge powers, whatever. That way, fast teams don't sit and wait for most of a half hour, but slow teams don't get needlessly overwhelmed either.

Brokers do NOT scale with your level. If you've already been introduced to, or outleveled, all the contacts that the broker offers, then you won't be offered a new contact, win or lose. You also won't get a contact if you say "No" to the Mayhem mission. However, if you are in level range, they'll offer a contact, even if you fail, as long as you try.
  7. Hm... Never thought of transferring the funds in advance. I always just make the payment, then make sure I have enough for it to clear, so that it never has to go to the credit card.

Go to the brute forums, and check out the threads on low-level farming (There's one by Neogumbercules and one titled "Cebr" by TopDoc). Alternately, you can use your fire/fire tank in a classic fire ambush farm.

    Hunt Guide?

If you're a hero or vigilante, the best place for BP masks is in one of Unai Kemen's missions. If you're planning ahead, you can grab the Banished Pantheon Earth mission at level 45, and then ignore it until you hit 50. Then, set it to x8 and go nuts on a bunch of grey bosses. If you don't pick up the mission until 50 (or do it by flashback), setting yourself to -1 will make the enemies a bit weaker. You'll have to set your difficulty at x3-4 minimum to get masks to start spawning. Remember that you can set yourself to "Bosses downgrade to Lts when solo", and they will still count for the badge.

If you have redside access, the Mortimer Kal Strike Force is a great place for badges. You can get Succubi for Weed Whacker and Mages by the boatload, and if you run it on a lower level team (20-25, IIRC), you'll get Hellfrosts and Hordelings too. The mission where you go talk to Oddyseus involves a fight against a number of Warriors (all bosses), and in the mission where you fight Oddyseus, there are several more bosses in the ambushes. Numina counts towards Hero Slayer (but ONLY if you kill her - using the Soul Catcher temp doesn't count), as does Infernal. I haven't tested to see if his summoned demons count as Heroes (previous versions are inconsistant as to whether or not the pets count). I'm pretty sure at least one of Montague, Mercedes and Exorcist counts as a Hero as well, but I haven't tested. Positron counts for Hero slayer as well.

Won't work for the OP. There's two types of PayPal transactions: Transfers and Instant Purchases.

Transfers debit the amount from your account, wait for it to clear, then give the money to the recipient. If you don't have enough money for the transaction to clear, then it acts much like a bounced cheque.

Instant Purchases work like a Transfer, but give the money to the recipient right away. If the payment doesn't clear, it's taken from the credit card on file. If you don't have a credit card on file, you can't do Instant Purchases.

    NCsoft only accepts Instant Purchases.

Some testing is in order. To the macromobile! AWAY!~!
All macros excecute from left to right. However, since it tries to execute all the commands in a single server tick, if two or more commands can't be done at the same time (like activating powers), each command overrides all previous mutually exclusive commands.

Targeting commands are NOT mutually exclusive, but you can only have one thing targeted at a time, so they effectively function the same way.

    Code:
    /targetcustomnext alpha$$targetcustomnext beta$$targetcustomnext omega
The above line will act as follows:

1- If nothing is currently targeted, it will target the nearest "Alpha". If something is already targeted, it will target the nearest "Alpha" that is further away than the current target. If no "Alpha" is found, the current target will not change.
2- Step 1 will be repeated for "Beta" instead of "Alpha".
3- Step 1 will be repeated again, but for "Omega" instead of "Alpha" or "Beta".

If there is only one of each in sight, "Omega" will always be targeted. If there are multiples of any, the results can only be predicted if you know what order that they're in, which is impossible to know in advance, thanks to the random spawning system.
  14. I knew that procs and Vet powers still worked during a Rage crash, but I never even thought about Judgements and Reactive Interface, even thy should have been obvious. I think my level 31 SS/Inv brute just became my prime leveling task during Double XP!
  15. Kheld shapeshifts might be an exception. You can NOT turn off regular toggles while mezzed.

You NEED fast AoEs for this to work. Skipping the damage aura is OK, but it has the huge benefit of clearing out the minions so that your "real" AoEs can take out the bigger targets. Picking a set with no AoEs in the low levels (Super Strength), or small area/low target caps (Dark Melee) will greatly hinder your effectiveness.

I've done this with brutes, scrappers, and blasters. A tank might be able to pull it off as well. Brutes go far faster, thanks to the higher damage cap. They also die less, for two reasons: because they have a higher resist cap, to help mitigate the hits that get through their defense, and because they kill things befor they get killed. If your goal is self-PLing, it doesn't hurt to try; some things will do decently. If your goal is a farmer, and nothing more, go with the tried and true: SS/Fire on a fire ambush or Claws/anything with a damage aura on a lowbie ambush farm.

I've just one little nit to pick with the OP: Most Temporary powers most definitely DO benefit from Fury (and other forms of +damage, such as inspirations). I personally LOVE Plasmatic Taser and the various Grenades on my mid-level brutes, because the temp powers deal the same base damage for all ATs, so I usually get double damage or more "for free" just by maintaining my Fury. Some temps are flagged to ignore buffs and enhancements (like the Vet Reward temps) - this kind are the only ones that ignore Fury/inspirations.

However, I'm not sure that buying and crafting these would be worth the time expenditure. If you're making over 2 million Inf and 750 tickets/minute, running from AE to the university, base or Crafter's Cafe and then back (assuming you keep a stack of recipes and salvage on hand. Increase the time if you have to stop by the market to buy them) will cost you 8-10 million Inf and ~3000 tickets, and I'm not convinced that any temp will increase your efficiency sufficently to offset that. And the crafting table temp doesn't alleviate the delays - you can easily burn through the charges on several temps long before the table recharges.

One other thing for people to consider: While Inf earning scales with level, neither Ticket nor Prestige earning do. I run a Claws/Fire brute level-locked at 10, mostly to produce level 10 uniques and -KB IOs for myself. He caps tickets in about 3 minutes, and could probably push it to 2 minutes if I wanted to. The one benefit he has over a level 50 is that his enhancements aren't diminished to uselessness - I have all 5 of my Going Rogue preorder enhancements in Spin, which gives me about 2 SOs worth of recharge, even after scaling, plus the same in damage (for when I'm not damage capped), and the procs (which stop working at 21, were leveling up).

If the character is older than Inherent Fitness (and you took any Fitness powers), a respec will switch you to Inherent Fitness, freeing up a few power selections.

If your Fitness is already Inherent, and you can't find room for CJ, Ninja Run and Beast Run don't cost any power picks. If you don't have the appropriate boosters, you should be able to pick up one of them individually with Points, once Freedom goes live.

  21. The problem is caused by how Hover's flyspeed is calculated. It uses a mix of flyspeed buffs and debuffs to make sure that you your speed starts slow, but can be increased a reasonable amount via enhancements (old hover got less benefit fron flyspeed enhancements than sprint does from runspeed).

Your Inertia (a hidden stat that's based on your flyspeed; it's what causes you to drift when you stop moving during flight, and to continue forward during a jump) is based off the flyspeed buffs, not the total flyspeed; that's why you shoot off so fast. The same thing happens with fly. For some reason, Inertia doesn't degrade while mezzed, so instead of slowing and then stopping, you keep going.

The best workaround is to keep an Inertia-reducing effect on you while Hovering. Any power that lets you control your movement mid jump counts. The obvious ones are Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Ninja Run and Beast Run. In addition, the phase/superjump power Warshades get, and the PBAoE +Jump power in Kinetics (sorry, I forget the names) will accomplish the same thing. There's likely a few others that will help as well.

I've also PUGed with members of The Society of Q many times. I don't know any of them well, but I'm always happy to see one of their members on a team that I join.
