Any procs in a persistent power (toggles, pseudopets/rains, autopowers, etc) will trigger once on activation, and once every 10 seconds following.

I'm fairly certain that you can't slot KO Blow with range enhancements, except via the Hami-O trick (Dam/Range in this case). I don't think Cardiac will boost its range (since it doesn't accept regular range enhancements), but Boost Range (for X/Energy/Leviathan blasters) and +Range set bonuses (From various PVP sets) should work.

Anything that chains uses a pseudopet to create the jumps. Since the proc fires on the caster, and you are only the caster for the primary hit (The pseudopet is the caster for the rest), if the proc triggers off the jumps, it will buff the pet, not you.
And since the pseudopet only casts once, and all pets are immune to recharge buffs, there's no benefit at all should it fire on one of the jumps. -
The in-game store is down. For some reason, when the store is down, the 15 second mail timer disappears. Expect it to come back when they fix things tomorrow (or whenever it happens).

You can't turn it off. However it's so similar to the common "Invention Salvage Found" message that my brain automatically ignores it along with the salvage message.

Actually, that looks to me like they were trying to put up a lowball bid for 65,000,000 - they do win, every now and then.
The extra zero strikes again! -

In both cases, it will attempt to proc when the power is cast, and once every 10 seconds after. I don't think Burn lasts long enough to proc twice per cast, so if Burn's recharge is greater than 10 seconds, put it in Blazing Aura, if Burn's recharge is less than 10 seconds, put it in Burn.

If they're an ambush, they'll follow you through elevators. If they're static spawns, I don't think they will.

Quote:You realize that Power Boost and similar powers have had no effect on Knockback for over 3 years now, right? As an aside, I have Power Push on my main Energy/Energy Blaster's "concept build", specifically so I can play "Power Push the Hellion" in Atlas Park and Galaxy City. With Power Boost you can get some SERIOUS distance on those guys...
Quote:Power Boost - Reduced strength of all versions of Power Boost by 33%, removed Knockback boost and removed stacking from the power. -
Quote:Irony!- When in doubt, take more purples.
Remember, these should be things that existing and even returning players won't think much of, but that new players might get confused by.
In many other games, "Purple" = "Very Rare equipment". It does here too. It has another meaning here as well, though. One that newbs wouldn't be familiar with. You may want to rephrase that. -
Quote:Actually, I'd forgotten about that post. I was talking about something he said in a uStream (which is why I didn't provide a link), where he basically said that there was nothing left to proliferate, and that there was "all new" stuff in the works for them that they're not ready to talk about yet. That, to me, sounds more like new powersets. Proliferation isn't "all new".I think the quote that Roderick and Rosa are arguing over is this one;
Which can be found here:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...73#post3728973
And in my opinion it could be taken either way - all he says is that there is plans for powersets which could be either new ones or 'tweeked' ports (like Earth Assault wasn't a direct port from anything). -
Quote:It's not the last spawn, it's mission completion. I've had a tip drop with the Mission Complete bonus several times, even when it was clicking a glowie, not defeating an enemy that ended the mission.I also notice the same thing, the last spawn on tip missions seems to have a disproportionately high drop rate for tips (most likely, though, it's just confirmation bias kicking in). Doubtful there's any actual change in probability or increased likelyhood.
I've only seen it happen in Alignment and Morality missions though, never in regular missions, or special tips. -
Quote:No, he said that dominators aren't getting any proliferation, and that what's coming is NEW POWERSETS.Absolutely not true. He said there was none for Issue 21. He just as emphatically said there were some coming. Naturally, they won't be straight 'ports for the assault set though (like Earth Assault).
Seriously, what's left to proliferate, other than Illusion? And if they were going to do that, it would be in this round. It wouldn't need any new art assets, and that was the sticking point for this round of proliferation - if it needed art, it wasn't happening this time. -
Range enhancements are really good for cones. Not only do they let you target things further away, but the base of a cone gets wider the longer it gets, even though the angle remains consistant. The wider the cone is, the more extra area the cone covers when it's range enhanced.

It's pretty common to see people recruiting for Holds, when forming a LGTF.
-
No. Because it's NOT applied to the whole team. I have been sequestered by standing too close to people on other teams. I have seen teammates sequestered without me being sequestered. It is an AoE hold, nothing more, nothing less. If there's nothing else in the trial that can hold you, you were just in range of someone who got sequestered. Perhaps someone got a second warning and moved away from the group (closer to you), but didn't lose aggro, so ended up with a third warning. I can't say for sure. But it's not a "hits the whole team wherever they are" effect.

Quote:Superman can't survive Kryptonite.My survive-anything can't survive everything. And I don't like that one bit.
Achilles can't survive an arrow in the foot.
Colossus can't survive psychic attacks.
But they can all survive virtually anything else. Why should your character be any better? -
1- Brute
2- Blaster
3- Scrapper
I love the brute playstyle - wade into the mob, smashing, tearing and shredding everything in your way. "I'm the Juggernaut, *****!" sums this AT up perfectly for me. Scrappers, to me, are less visceral, and more about well-trained, precise combat. To put it in D&D terms, the brute is the Barbarian, the scrapper is the Fighter. Blasters can be either, or even both, so I place them between.
4- Dominators, Corruptors, Stalkers, Tanks, Warshades, all VEATs.
Each of these ATs has something about them that makes me want to play them, but something else makes it so that they're no fun for me when I try to play them, be it a mechanic that doesn't jive for me, or that I just haven't found the right powerset yet.
5- Defenders, Peacebringers, Controllers, Masterminds.
These just don't fit my playstyle at all. I don't have any desire to play them most of the time, and when I come up with a concept that suits them, no matter how much I like the concept, I cannot turn the character into something I enjoy, even leveled to 50 and respecced multiple times to try to find the "right build". -
Quote:"Near you" is roughly the diameter of the rings. You were likely held by one of the adds.Thing is, last BAF I did I got held (not sequestered) when I had pulled away from the group and was fighting some adds. There was actually no one that close i.e S & N where in the centre of the tennis court and I was outside. So if it is "just those near you", "near you" must be quite some distance.

Quote:Or... maybe we'll continue enjoying our well-populated servers without being overrun by the throngs of madmen that abound on the high-population servers.ok...Ok...OK!
You each love your little shires of solitude...i friggin' get it. Cripes...not wonder it's hard to find descent team players.
I loved, and still love, my first server, Infinity. I have some AWESOME toons that I put a lot of work into. I made several good friends and many great (virtual) memories there. I just despair over the fact it is a shadow of its former self and miss the many opportunities to make new friends that only a well-populated server can bring. Forgive me for trying to think of ways to revitalize it.
So please stop whinging on about the technical challenges or the virtues of you "cold dead fingers". I'll continue to make friends, help noobs, and foster a community...you have fun sitting in the corner.
We're not talking Tokyo vs. Hum. We're talking about the difference between New York and Kelowna.
