  1. Yes. You must respec one or both builds so that you have ONLY Wolf and/or Bane powers, with NO crab powers in EITHER build, regardless of which is active, to make the backpack go away.
  2. Two minor changes to the initial suggestion:

1> No tiered prices. Make it a percentage of the listing price with a fixed floor, just like every other market fee.

2> Don't deduct the fee from my Inf automatically. Nothing else does, why should this? Add a "Rent due" field, so you can see how much has accumulated. If I pull the item down, my listing fee (already paid) vanishes, and rent is deducted from my current Inf. When the item sells, Give me the Inf, plus my listing fee, minus my selling fee, minus the rent, just like the current system, with one step added.

Also, if the rent ever acculumates to a certain point (the listed price, 10x the list price, something else?), the item should be deleted, with the original listing fee lost. This would prevent 3,000,000 Inf Ceramic Armor Plates and Titanium Shards from clogging the system.

    The AE Problem

The Mission Architect was advertised from day 1 as something for all levels. When it was revealed that it would give XP, it was changed from "available at all levels" to "you can level from 1-50 without leaving the AE building". How would they stick to this key feature, if they locked everyone but the 50's out?
  4. Castle said that he and his team are working on capture-the-flag style minigames for the arena. This would be an AWESOME idea for that. Hopefully, it's already on the list. If not: HEY CASLTE!!! LOOK OVER HERE!!!

As to the original idea, keep your PVP out of my PVE content. Doubly so if I have to wait for someone to PVP me just so that I can enter my PVE mission.
  5. I can't check this, since I can't get in game right now.

Can you set Boss Objectives to the "fake fight" emote? If so, set a boss of one faction, Surrounding Enemies to a different one, and set all of them to the sparring emote. It'll look like a bunch of guys beating on just one (on a full team, it will be a LOT of guys beating on just one), but it may do the trick.
  6. As far as I know, the crystals are part of the map. There is no way I know of to remove the crystals.
  7. Doing that would be difficult to code AND would make it so that if I get shot and slowed, you can avoid the slow by staying close to me.

An easier solution would simply be to give it the "doesn't stack regardless of caster" flag that Vengance has, instead of the "doesn't stack from same caster" tag it currently uses.
  8. If you were logged in when you applied the code, first thing you do is log out and back in.

If that doesn't work, wait an hour. Sometimes, it can take a little while for the billing server to update with the game servers. After the hour, log out and back in.

If it's still not there, a bug may have occurred. It's not unheard of. Send a /petition in-game, and stay online to talk with the GM. If you have to log out, it can still be fixed, but I had a recent issue that had to be resolved via e-mail, and it took almost a week, where it would have taken minutes had I been able to stay on to talk to the GM.
  9. QR to the OP:

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

The first announcement of any issue is the one tailored to elicit the "OMG THIS IS SO COOL MUST HAVE NOW!" response. Powerset Proliferation is not the new and shiny, it's the continuation of something already in the game.

Think about i14. How many announcements were made before people knew about the PVP IOs?
  10. Bah. I always get those two mixed up.
  11. Oh. Maybe. Honestly, the OP was so vague that I assumed that the "4sec" comment was referring to the 10 second suppression procs have in toggles and autos.
  12. Procs are only suppressed when slotted in toggles or autos. When put in click powers, like Decimation: Chance to Hold in a blast, it will try to proc every time it's fired. In a really quick blast, or with multiples slotted, yes, it ispossible to stack enough to mez bosses, and yes, it is working as intended.

procs work best on powers that normally do not do damage at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Usually. Procs in non-aggro, non-damaging powers, like Smoke Grenade or Surveillance is a BAD thing, because the proc will cause the powers to start generating aggro.
  14. Some of us aren't in it for the fast levels or uber drops.

Yes, I farm a bit, I've PLed a couple characters, I've done QKaties back in the day, and I've farmed tickets a few times since i14 hit.

BUT... These are not my normal way of playing. I run standard missions. I run TFs with my coalition. I rum the arcs of my friends and people in my global channels. When I run out of those, I'll start randomly browsing others' missions.

My project character is a blaster that turns off XP at the top of each level bracket until she's finished EVERY mission that any and all contacts will give her.

Some people out there did nothing but PL new characters and farm so that they could go PVP. These people can still do that. Whether it was dev-released content or AE content, they're spending more time in the PVP Zones/Arenas than missions anyways.

My server's badge channel is as active as ever, with TFs, MA teams and GM hunts all getting a lot of activity.

There's LOTS of things to do outside of farming, and I think that most people, when they get bored of AE farms, will move on to the other stuff in the game, rather than leave.
  15. Since there is no end of mission reward (except the bonus tickets), coupled with the aforementioned lack of Patrol XP use, there is less XP earned via AE missions. However, you get to chose how your drops are split between salvage, recipes and enhancements. I would say this is a fair tradeoff.

In all fairness, did you even read the OP?

Yes this idea gets brought up a lot. But reading over the OP, I saw that a lot of the common issues have been addressed.

That said, if I can't freely travel wherever I want (outside of missions), I'm not really big on the idea of vehicles. This sounds like a "too much work for too little return" suggestion to me.

Well thought out presentation though! Don't let this stop you from making another suggestion the next time you get an idea.

The Gladiator IO is slotted in RPD, and being out of respecs to try it on Test, I have no way to check how it works with exemplaring, sorry. :/

    [/ QUOTE ]

    D'oh!

Hmm, on second thought, I do have a respec recipe laying around somewhere that I could copy to Test to give you... not sure what your playtime hours are, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or you could just use a purchasable respec, since the test server connects to a fake billing server, and you don't get billed for extra slots, respecs, renames or transfers, on test only.

Self Destruct is the power used by trip mines and the like to blow themselves up. You want Self Destruction.

  22. It's been suggested before, and one of the devs has said that travel powers that interact with walls (your suggestion, wall-crawling, etc) doesn't work with the game engine.

Rewriting the engine and the entire world so that walls are a surface you can travel on is a non-trivial update.

Since you complain about villain side specifically, the solution is simple: Go to Grandville, get a Raptor Pack, and when there's something in your way, go over it.
  23. Not really the right place, but that thread got so old it was deleted.

Smurphy also started a thread where he was buying 50's via level pact on each server. I was his man on Victory. I got the pacted character up to the high 30's before getting burnt out; altitis is a cruel mistress. With the arrival of the MA, I blew past the slow spot, and am now halfway through level 42.

I hope to have him to 50 by the end of the month. If he isn't, he will be within the first week or two of next month.

I know I'm behind the schedule we had discussed. Let me know here or in PM what you want to do Smurphy; I have no problem keeping the pact going until 50.
  24. While I would love to see the old contacts revamped, it seems like a lot of work with little return, so I wouldn't expect it to be high priority.

In the meantime, there is a way to do the arcs with all the missions in the same order for all characters, and everyone getting full merits at the end: Flashback.

Even better, only the leader has to have outlevelled the contact to start the mission. Like a task force, everyone must meet the minimum level requirement, and if they aren't high enough level to be auto-exemplared, they will get XP, just as if they were doing it normally.

This may not help with your dual-boxed duo, as they are probably the same level, but it would help for PUGing.
  25. It's not unique to this IO. Put a Rectified Reticle: Increased Perception in Build up, and you'll see the same effect, even though the IO is always on, not just when you use Build Up.
