Victory, which typically hovers between the "average" and "ghost town" servers in population, has a scheduled Hami raid every second week, on the weeks between the Night Shift's bi-monthly Rikti Raids. Occasionally, maybe once every 1-3 months, a random person shows up and says "Let's raid Hami!" And people join. That's a minimum of two raids a week, sometimes more, by the inhabitants of one Global Channel on one low to mid population server. It's likely that some of the larger SGs and Coalition run their own raids too.
If you can't find a Hami raid on Freedom, I suspect you're looking in the wrong place.
That said, I fully support the idea of getting a badge for defeating Hami. I wouldn't expect more than a minor spike of interest as a result.
And an accolade for one raid? No. You need to plant 25 bombs (13 raids, if you can get 2 plants per raid) and defeat the GM 10 times (never more than once per raid) to get the Rikti Raid badges. And you still don't get an accolade, or even a badge that counts towards one. -
M_K might be on to something there. How dos this sound:
2-5 Zones on each side get a Thrift Store (Hero)/Pawn Shop (Villain). Players can donate/pawn unwanted items there. If the person is a member of a SG, they receive a small amount of prestige - Perhaps 1/2/5 for common/uncommon/rare salvage and small/medium/large inspirations and the same number x level for common/uncommon/rare recipes and enhancements (treat IO/DO/SO all as common). Perhaps a x10 multiplier for purples. Then, anyone can purchase anything that's been donated for a fixed price - I'd suggest double what a vendor would offer, though prices would need to be added for some items.
This would require a new server, or at least be a new task for the existing market server, but it would be less resource intensive, as it would just need a "number available" for each item, instead of managing market slots for every character in the game.
This would provide a more favorable prestige exchange rate than currently available if someone were to buy and resell the same item, but maybe that's a good thing.
Whaddaya think? Should I maybe polish this up and take it to S&I to be mocked? -
QR to the OP - I'm staying out of the mess that followed.
You had two examples: A Blaster that took one power at level 6 and became invincible (Hover blaster in a pre-nerf custom melee farm), and a character that made several power picks, collected several sets, and fine-tuned a spefic build, all with the a specific goal in mind.
One took 5 clicks. The other took hours of farming and/or marketeering and probably a respec or two.
Which do you think the devs are OK with? Is it really so hard for you to see the difference?
Oh, this belongs in the Official Farming Thread. I'm sure Mod8 will be along shortly. -
Note that the link says the duration is 0.75 seconds. That means that the buff wears off and refreshes a little quicker than once a second. That means that if it works, it will be the buffed value for the duration of the power boost, plus a second or less.

He said 4 pools, not everything in 4 pools. CJ/Hasten/Air Sup/Fly/Stealth* is 5 powers, plus 3 from the epic is only 8 powers used up on pools.
*Example only. I have no idea WHAT Alt-O actually takes from pools. -
Golds are 3000-4000 tickets, so yes, 3 rolls is the max possible.

Are you using Shadow Maul a lot? Your fury degrades more during the Shadow Maul animation than it increases from using Shadow Maul. So if you're using the mez shields from DA to reduce incoming attacks, and frequently Shadow Mauling, I could easily see a net fury loss.
Otherwise, no idea. Sorry. -
I don't know what to say man. You're one of the people who makes Victory what it is. It won't be the same without you.
Hurry up and get over this phase, and come back to us. -
Same reason you can't log out inside a mission - it's an instanced zone, and once there's nobody in it, it ceases to exist. Therefore, the server remembers the last location you were at in a city zone, and logs you in there instead.

Isn't the Friends and Family program the thing that lets the devs invite their CoH-playing friends and family to beta test before the closed beta invites go out?
I remember one of the devs mentioning something along those lines way back.
What does that have to do with Wentworths?
As far as the conspiracy theories go: I've been hit by every market lag/bug/issue out there. But not recently. Why? Because I'm slow, careful, and double check EVERYTHING before I click "submit", and then wait long enough for any lag or other delays to catch up.
And if the devs really had a "friends and family" program that let people line jump, buy under asking price or whatever, why would they go to that much difficulty to implement it, instead of just giving them a temp power that spawns a magic vendor that sells everything in the game for 1? Seems to me that would be easier to code. -
And how would this address MA farms, which can be completed, reselected, and restarted, with no need to "reset" like you would with a traditional farm?
Sorry, but no, it wouldn't kill farming.
Nothing will. Even if you make it impossible to farm missions, there will still be the option of street sweeping. Especially in hazard zones. -
I can't really fathom spending Inf to pact a toon off my home server. But I might be interested in rolling something truly bizarre if this is happening on a day I'm available.
Post a schedule, and I'll let you know if I'm in. -
Since there was a souvenir, it was a story arc. Which means that you can redo it.
And last I tried, the most recent souvenir overwrites the old one, so if you redo it, it will be failed or completed based on the retry's result. I can think of no reason why this would be changed.
You will, of course, have to wait until you outlevel the mission to do it by flashback. -
No. Nothing you said in your post will get the character deleted.
If your character was levelled via one of the exploits that allowed 1-50 in under a day, or farmed the influence for the purples in a similar way, then you might be at risk of having the character reviewed. Nobody knows how the devs plan on finding the people that they will take action against.
If you earned the character fairly, then it should be safe. If you cheated to get it, you may lose it. -
Are you sure you want to work at those badges?
And Footsteps is the only arc that has made HoF, and it doesn't stay up there consistently. -

You mean scroll with the mouse wheel? If so, there is an option to choose scroll speed that for some reason defaults to 0, so you can't scroll at all. It's under General options, I think, and I think around 80 is about three lines per wheel tick.
If not, then I don't know.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its under controls for clarification.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm aware of that. MY MOUSE'S scroll wheel does not work with CoH.
When I move my GF's mouse to this computer, the scroll wheel works on my computer. When I move my mouse to HER computer, the wheel does NOT work on her computer.
It's the mouse, not the settings. -
That's not Manti being bugged. That's a bug that's been reported several times, most often (always?) in TF mode, be it real TFs, flashbacks or, most often, MA missions.
Sadly, there is currently no known workaround. -
Scroll bars appear or disappear automatically based on if you need them or not. If there's no scroll bar, you don't need it.
If you're trying to use your scrollwheel on your mouse - I can't either. It seems that some mice don't work for that. You can still click the scroll bar to move it around. -

You complain about Permadoms being Nerfed in your opening paragraph, then talk about damage being king in teams in your second, all the while ignoring the fact that your ranged damage cap is 46% HIGHER? I'm unsure if this is gall or poor math skills.
Either way, I'm now done with this thread. See you folks on the Training room.
[/ QUOTE ]
So i thought i would ask.
[/ QUOTE ]
From the post he made shortly before that one:
[ QUOTE ]
Once the changes are "acceptable" to me, they will go to the Training Room, with a complete set of notes on changes. When that happens, go there, test the changes and provide feedback.
[/ QUOTE ]
Take the two together, and what I get is "This is crap, I'm out, we will discuss the dom changes further when they end up on the Test Server, and not before." -
The devs stated that their intended goal was to not go two consecutive issues without new enhancements and likewise not go two consecutive issues without new proliferation. Please note the words "intended goal".
When i13's split into two issues was announced, one of the devs came onto the forums and stated that, according to that plan, i13 and i14 were still the same issue.
They gave us new enhancements in i13 *and* i14.
We are MOST LIKELY to get some proliferation in i15.
No go back to the first paragraph, and re-read the words "intended goal".
If the devs don't give us any enhancements or recipes, they still haven't broken any promises, because it was "We're gonna try to do this", not "We promise, and expect you with torches and pitchforks should we fail to deliver". -

Hidden is actually a flag for all three ATs that get it, that activate secondary damage (Yes, even in SoAs) when the target's in that state. And is also technically granted by Placate, though iirc that's bugged.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also, "Hidden", "Fury" and "Domination" are all the same thing to the game - the AT's powers are set to use them in different ways. As such, the Hidden flag COULDN'T be used on /EA and /Dark brutes, at the very least.
Well it could, but by my understanding, as soon as they stealthed and got the "Hidden" flag, their Fury Bar would fill, and stay full until they attacked, then the suppression of the "Hidden" status would force them to 0 Fury until the toggle was turned off, or Hide unsurpressed.
I agree with upping the stealth radius though, on some of the powers at least. Primary/Secondary powers are supposed to be better than pool powers, but the main difference between Pri/Sec stealth and pool stealth is the speed debuff, which can be canceled by Swift - a power many people would have anyways.
Furthermore, bosses (and maybe Lts, not sure) can see you through a lot of stealth powers, even if they don't have +perception. That just seems wrong to me. -

Toggles are cheap.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, armor toggles are cheap. Debuff toggles, not necesarily. Go check out Mud Pots and Arctic Air. I've never played a stormie, but I bet Tornado has similar end use.
In some cases, toggles can be just as much an issue as click powers. -
I had a couple Apocs drop blueside a few weeks ago, and they seem to be commanding the same price. I'd love to sell them, but I've got a blaster who has plans for that set, and I don't want to have to rebuy them. :P
-
I just did the math, and the average is about 20-30 million each, once level ranges and times of day are factored in.
I'll gladly sell you my merits for 15 million per roll, since I'm such a philanthropist.
And don't bother double-checking my numbers, I already did, and they're right.
