I don't know the villain arcs well enough to point out good merits, but check out the wiki.
Also, if you have 1-2 hour blocks of time, the ITF in Cimerora is fun, has a chance of dropping purples when run at 50, and has a decent merit reward (28, IIRC).
EDIT: Better wiki page. -

Hey Animal, I've been here on the US side for five years now, welcome!
I hear that UK and US servers will soon be connected so joining there or here might be moot.
[/ QUOTE ]
I heard that the UK and US forums are being merged, which led to a bunch of speculation that access to the UK and US servers would be combined, but I haen't seen anything official. Was there a post or interview that I missed, or is this still speculation? -
The Flaming Bunnyman was a level 30 mutation origin Fire/Fire/Flame blaster.
Then I was looking over the origin-based titles.
The Fabulous Flaming Bunnyman is a level 31 natural origin Fire/Fire blaster, eagerly eyeing those purples that his previous incarnation put in the storahe bins. -
Mercy connects to Cap via the Black Helicopter Line.
Port Oakes connects to Cap via the PO/Cap ferry.
Pocket D connects to Cap.
All other non-hazard zones connect to Cap via the Rogue Isles Ferry.
The Rikti War Zone connects to Cap via the Vanguard base.
Ouroboros connects to Cap.
You cannot get into the Club with two zonings (One to Cap, one to MNC) from six Zones: The PVP zones, Monster Island, and The Abyss. And that might be five because I think one of the PVP zones is off Cap.
Heroes have no single zone that accessible. -

Each name can have 3-20 characters. The first must be a number or letter, the remainder can b a number, letter, space, or one of the four special characters: - . ' or ?
That gives just over 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 possible name combinations. Each account can have up to 36 characters per account. Last we heard, there are 120,000 active accounts. Let's assume that inactive accounts make 200,000 accounts (active and inactive combined), resulting in (at most) 7,200,000 used names. Add an arbitrary amount for disallowed names (Superman, Wolverine, Jean Grey) and genericable names (Soopurmon, Wolfereen, Jeanie Gray), and we'll call it 8 million unavailable names. That leaves 9,999,999,999,999,991,000,000 available names.
Per server.
We haven't run out yet.
Bah! I just saw that Samuel Tow had made a similar point. Oh well... -
Level 46 Minions and Lts and level 47 minions con grey to a 50, and drop nothing. Get the mission at 47 and run at 4th diff, or get the mish at 48 and run at 2nd diff for best results.
-
Doing missions in PVP zones won't get you any drops, as you'll only be killing NPC.
PVP IOs drop from defeating other PLAYERS, in zone or arena PVP. -

no it doesnt, but like ive said "ive never been able to log in to the game, CREATE a toon, and not enter a server". usually, it wont let me past the login if servers arent up. (or unknown)
[/ QUOTE ]
I've been able to do that on EVERY Issue release, and several major patch releases since I started. When they finish patching the servers, they turn them on, but lock out everything but the login servers, so that the staff can test the build and make sure it's working. Apparently, character creation is done on the login server, before you get to the game server.
But this is NOTHING new. Taking a little longer than normal, but I just figure staff has to test everything new to make sure it's working right, and right now, I'm imagining a team of Devs and GMs cursing at their screens because a bad team selection has delayed completion of a new task force. -

And that sort of attitude is why we have to buy the cable to hook a printer to the computer separately these days...
[/ QUOTE ]
I remember buying a serial cable to hook up my dot matrix printer to my 286.
I remember pulling a USB cable out of the box that my Inkjet printer came in.
Your argument falls short. -
None are RESTRICTED by server, but they are often themed by server. And the list is Here
-
If you want a melee toon which offers challenge, but can dish out some damage, has a lot of options and gives you carpal tunnel after 5 minutes of clicking EVERTYHING, try Dark Melee/Fiery Aura. Brute, Tank or Scrapper, it's good any way.
-
That may be valid advice.
Garou, put the recipe in the market window, and press the "More Info" button. Some really good recipes are ridiculously common. If the More Info shows lots for sale, few bidding, and a low "Last Five", sell the recipe to an NPC vendor, and buy a new one later.
Check all your recipes. Even a couple "Unique" recipes have greater availability than desirability. -
Issue 15 is on the test server though, and freely accessible. Lay off the insults.
Cryptic's logo is still there because Cryptic owns the code that runs the game, and NCSoft/Paragon studios is only leasing it.
Until Paragon Studios writes their own code, the Cryptic logo stays there, presumably as part of the leasing agreement.
NCSoft only owns the Intellectual Property. -
Actually, that's how we all thought it worked, but someone did some testing a while ago and found that it actually keeps checking until it hits the target cap, or runs out of valid targets to check.
The first target checked is the target of the power (if targetted), or closest to the target (if location based), or closest to you (if PBAoE), and works its way out. It's a little wonky, just like tabbing through enemies, so it doesn't always hit the ones you would expect.
If you don't believe me, go find one of those AE missions with a ton of ambushes, stand in the middle, and hit a PBAoE. If it's poorly slotted, it's possible to see more "Miss"es than targets allowed, plus capped targets being hit. -
And a tanker? Same or more?
(I'm at work, can't use anything but the forums at the moment) -
As has been said, tankers have higher base HP and Def numbers, meaning that it survives longer, and softcaps more easily.
The scrapper has higher base damage. Crits do suffer a little, but in the recent DM revamp, the crit on Midnight Grasp was changed to be equal to the up-front damage plus the DoT.
The one thing I'm unsure about, that would probably decide it for me: Do they have the same Defense Debuff Resistance, or is the Tanker's higher? -
For the FIRST code, you create a new account. For the SECOND, you UPGRADE the account you created with the first code.

My speedster is a Kat/SR. He's really just a regular guy with a little Kendo training on his world, where people can see and move in four dimensions, not three.
So when he got here, he found that his ability to move through the fourth dimension (time) let him go a LOT faster than normal people.
3 slotted Swift, Sprint, and Quickness, plus 5 GotA runspeeds and a few +run and +movement set bonuses = 44mph, non supressing movement. He doesn't even have the Speed pool. -
Just an addendum: You cannot apply a serial code to an account that already has that edition applied to it. So if your primary account already has CoH CE and CoV CE on it (and it sounds like it does), it won't let you use those codes on your main account. So you should have no worries about adding your new codes to the old account.
Just make sure that, when applying the second code, you upgrade the new account, rather than creating two new accounts! -
Also, when you do an arc, the challenge badges DO NOT award on completion of the last mission; You have to call the contact. Only then, when you exit Flashback mode, do you get the challenge badges.
The badges for number of flashbacks done award on completion of the last mission, before calling it in. Confusing, I know. :/ -

My Thugs MM had the two Enforcers named Abbot and Costello. I then wrote a very extensive load_bind set up where the pets reenacted the entire "Who's On First" skit, emotes and all. I had it loaded so all I had to do was just set up my pets, then press one key repeatedly, and they would preform.
No, that has nothing to do with your question, really, but it was such fun. (There were some 300+ notepad binds to write and link)
[/ QUOTE ]
My thugs are Larry, Curly and Moe; Abbott and Costello; and Charlie. I don't have the requisite amount of awesome to perform skits with them though. -
Seven LotG +7.5s is a waste of a LOT of Inf. Only 5 will work, the other 2 will be eaten by the Rule of Five.
-
[ QUOTE ]
So you can't add any hami's or anything either?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can, but since the recharge on the power is flagged to ignore buffs and enhancements, it will always have base recharge, even if you have six */rech Hami-Os, 5 LotG +Recharge, 5 of each +Recharge set bonus and a cadre of kins SBing you.
NOTHING will speed up that power. -
Can forum handles be genericed? Because I'm pretty sure that one would be asking for it.
