Quote:Nope. People have already asked for whips, both regular and fire.Yeah, the second the official video goes live, I think it'll tip straight into, "Y'know, what would be cool? Fire whips powerset for scrappers."
And they want them for blasters.
Yes. They want a hand-held weapon (yes, a long one, but still) for the ranged attack specialist.
Then again, they wanted a projectile weapon for the melee attackers, so I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised. -
Hmmm.... serious bids only, eh?
In that case, I bid you aideu, madam! -
Quote:I'm not too sure about that. I'm pretty sure that the Mac version is the only box that has the Mac client on disc, meaning that with the purchase of any other version, a Mac user would need to download everything. Also, if you purchase the physical box of Architect, it'll save you quite a bit of client download time.
EDIT: Next time, I'll check the wiki first! The Mac version is download only; there is no box version. The Architect Edition has installers for both PC and Mac, Complete to Issue 14, meaning that everything Cuppa said was right, and everything I said was pure phail. -
Accelerate Metabolism, Siphon Speed, and Speed Boost should all work on "No travel power" settings. I think the Kin power that grants a jump bonus should too (what the heck is its name? Bad brain!).
Or you could always pick missions that don't need much travel, and [Sprint] to your missions. There's a few that are particularly good for that. -
Quote:Don't forget Gordon Bower and Gordon Stacey. Now, onto my theory of how Penny Preston and Penny Yin are the same person!
Or Desdemona and Desdemona the Glint.
Isn't there a contact named Justin? That must be Manticore in his secret secret identity!
And God forbid anyone be named Mike or John. They'd instantly have the worst ever case of Multiple Personality Disorder. -

1- He didn't say they were.
2- Nobody claimed to get 2 purples from a single group of three freaks, nor 4 pieces of rare salvage over 10 hours while teamed, so it's not even reasonable to infer that someone implied that the drop rates were the same.
Nethergoat was just pointing out that, when it comes to random numbers, weird stuff happens.... randomly. -
He seems to have changed his sig, but I'm pretty sure it was Westley that had built a nifty little WYSIWYG editor that created its output in forum code.

50 mil isn't a huge budget. Fortunately, SS/WP doesn't need it, but of course, high-end IOs still help out.
Do you already have anything you'd be willing to donate to the build from othr characters, or a stockpile of Merits to use? It could make a difference to what people suggest. -
Quote:Please note that "Farming" and "Exploiting" are not the same thing.Another sign that a Mission is a Farm is people running it over and over and over again.
If you find yourself on a team and all they doing is the same mission more then once then it's a farming mission and might be getting farmed for exploits.
How come I got Jeff Foxworthy telling "You might be a Exploiter/Farmer if..." Jokes running in my head?
The devs frown upon farming, and have stated that farm missions listed in AE can be removed without warning, deleting the slot it was stored in, and some egregious farms outside AE have been adjusted to make them less farmable, like the timer, and ranged attacks on the "Puppy Farm", or the XP reduction for "Family Earth", but farming in general is not a bad thing.
Likewise, doing something that is classified "an exploit" is not going to get you banned. Do it once and realize it's not supposed to work that way, or a couple times even, and retribution is unlikely. Do it a few times to figure out exactly what it is and how it works, then file a bug report, and you will be fine, and maybe even get Bug Hunter out of the deal.
It's when you combine the two, and begin farming an exploit, that you risk a warning, deleted character, or ban/temp ban. -
5 minutes after killing someone.
10 minutes after getting a drop. -
It will never, in any power, hit anyone but the caster.
(Technically, the beacon casts a power that has the proc in it, so it also gains the bonuses for itself, but it still doesn't pass them on to anyone else.) -
Quote:If you're running CoD and the damage aura and/or one or both of the mez auras, you lose the stealth the instant you're in range of one of the enemies, and you start layering good strong taunts on them. If a squishie is close enough that they're gonna get hurt, then they're close enough that they risk getting aggro before ANY tank, not just a dark.Something to remember: you are stealthy with the power running.
Obvious perhaps, but if the lead tank is stealthy and the squishies right behind him are not, disaster can often follow. Nothing as spectacular as watching the stealthy tank rush into melee, while the rest of the team is obliterated by the spawn before he can get there.
I just started up a DA/BA tanker, and I'm still on the fence on whether to get CoD. From my /DA scrapper I know Immob is the bane of my melee enjoyment. On the other hand, he'll be getting CJ/SJ. -
Quote:Perfect! Exactly what I needed! Thanks.Easy way:
Options->Advanced->Database Editor; Main Database Editor.
Left hand column: select Stalker Defense
Middle column: select the secondary you want to change
Right column: select Hide, click Edit below the column
On the new window, go to the Effects tab; delete everything that suppresses when Attacked.
Quote:Hard way:
Annoy St0n3y until it's an option to show the suppressed values. -
I'm trying to put together a build that's softcapped. I don't want to make the same mistake I did with my Bane (He's softcapped, until Hide suppresses), but I suck at keeping track of the numbers in my head, especially once enhancements are added in.
Could someone walk me through editing my Mids database so that Hide shows the Defense numbers for when it's suppressed? -

Quote:So, the guy last year who listed a LotG +Recharge for 1, and sold it for 1,111 paid the same fees, and earned the same amount of profit as someone else listing it at 100,000,000 or more and selling within 24 hours, right?i never have to worry about 3 because it always sells, 2 is only partially true, ive made more than the current last 5 sales listing for 1 inf
my point was being not wasting inf in listing it for a high price if you are gonna lose the same amount regardless of what you list it, and again, when you sell something you dont get any money till you claim it, so to me im not paying anything on inf im receiving from a sale -
It increases the base value of their Regen and Recovery stats, which means that their Regen and Recovery start higher than most others' and Regen and Recovery buffs affect them more than they do others.
-
No, it's got a 2% chance to go off, and only does a mag 1 stun, meaning it will only affect Rikti Monkies, and other Underling-class enemies, unless it's stacked on top of a pre-existing stun.

Quote:Pretty sure I covered that. The "I am equivalent to x heroes" setting does not affect EB/AV scaling.
You get an AV if any one or more of the following is true:
-You are on a team of 6 or more real players.
-The person who owns the missions has AVs enabled in their difficulty settings.
-You are on a Task Force.
The latter does not include Flashback or AE mode, even though they use a variation of TF mode. I am unsure if the Ouroboros mini-TFs (Lazarus, Twilight's Son, Tesseract, Silos) count as TFs or Flashbacks for these rules.
If none of the three rules above are true, then the AV scales down to an EB.
Note that if an enemy is meant to be an EB, it is not possible to force them to scale up to AV status. -
-
They're also worth it if you've already slotted enough Damage enhancements that adding more would be lost to Enhancement Diversification. Of course, since they're not guaranteed damage, it's best to only use them if you have slots to spare; don't short change an important power for a chance for more damage.

It would be a 20% x 33% = 6.6% chance that both fire, a 33% - 6.6% = 26.3% chance that only the Purple fires, a 20% - 6.6% = 13.4% chance that only the Oblivion fires, and a (100% - 33%) x (100% x 20%) = 53.6% chance that neither proc fires.
This is checked on EACH enemy, individually.
On [Foot Stomp] with a 10 target cap, there is a 0.000 000 001 568% chance of both firing on EVERY target, and a 0.001 957% chance of neither one proccing at all.
On average, you will see the purple proc fire on 3 enemies, and the non-purple fire on two enemies (possibly overlapping, possibly different targets) each time you use [Foot Stomp] against a max-sized group.
EDIT: It's a 46.4% chance, per target, that at least one target will fire. So that was a pretty good guess, Rajani. -
