  1. I like the one where they tell you to fight near the trainer, and if things get out of hand, to lead the enemies to the trainer, where the gathered players will "be more than happy to help out."

Unless they're in a full-screen window, like ... I don't know.... THE TRAINING WINDOW... and don't know the enemy is there, until it kills them. But, hey! You don't get any debt!
  2. I'll echo the scrapper sentiment, especially if you like brutes.

If you didn't like corruptors, don't roll a defender. The two are as similar as scrappers are to brutes.

Dominators don't really have a heroside equivalent. If you play them as lockdown machines, try a few controller sets. If you play them as squishy death machines, go blaster. Neither will have the same feel, but it gives you a starting place.

While this is true for a Shield Tank, like you are playing, Recharge is helpful in other sets. Some click buffs that give +res have a long recharge, and some melee sets have a 1000 second recharge +Resist godmode. For these powers, the Recharge bonus is worthwhile.

And even though you didn't ask, one extra thing you may not have realized: The bonuses for slotting multiple pieces of a set are global. That means that if you slot five or more pieces of Crushing Impact in a single power, granting +5% recharge, that's not a +5% bonus to the power it's slotted in, it's an extra +5% on every power on the character, even temp powers and accolades that can't normally be enhanced. Of course, there are some powers that ignore these bonuses - Shield's godmode ignores all sources of +Recharge, so it wouldn't benefit, and Veteran Sands of Mu et al ignore +damage, so +Damage set bonuses wouldn't help it, but powers like these are the exception, not the rule.

Not shortly thereafter or soon enough after it.
He said that the fix is going live with or shortly after Issue 17. That means that the fix will b live before Going Rogue.

Yep. It forces the updater to re-checksum, which fixes some problems.
  6. I had no problem installing it. Did you try the standard "Delete the coh.checksum file" fix?

    Live Patch

Demons are going live with i17. Not only is i17 still in Closed Beta, the EU Test server was rolled back to i16 to test this patch. It's a hotfix for whatever the current AE exploit is, almost certainly.

I was wondering about that one too. The only game I ever played with a "Bind" system was WoW, and they use BoE/Bind on Equip and BoP/Bind on Pickup.

I wouldn't mind seeing that changed.

(actually, this is basically the opposite of #3...and I like the idea of getting mob-level drops when I'm running Oroboros)
Not exactly. The merit/ticket roll uses the exact same mechanic as the mission complete reward: The level of the mission determines which pool the recipe comes from, your level determines the level of the recipe. In your example, the low level recipe would be obtained, but at the highest level it exists at.
  11. Did you try Zloth's Demo Launcher? It makes things much easier on you.

    Yes.
  13. It tries to proc once on each target, but is set to not stack. So it would be more likely to fire if you use it in Soul Drain with multiple targets nearby, but you will never get multiple effects at once from it.

Evil Scientist in BB should tell you that you can't refill Shivans.
Why should only villains be told? Are you suggesting that heroes are smart enough to figure it out on their own, but villains aren't?

That newsie still tells me about Willpower and Dual Blades. Someone needs to clean out his list of "Breaking News" items.

You'd need more than double that much stealth radius to pas by GMs and Turrets undetected, and triple for Snipers.

TBH, -Threat doesn't do much, as far as I've seen. You can't have less than 1.0 Threat, which most ATs have as their base (and I don't know of any +Threat powers). The ATs with more than 1.0 base Threat tend to want the aggro.
If you have 1.0 base Threat and activate Super Speed, the Combat Numbers report a Threat level of 0.0

As of the most recent patch, Broad Sword and Dual Blades can craft all three. Katana, unfortunately, got screwed, because neither of the alternate blades has a long enough handle for Katana animations.

EDIT: Someone needs to update the wiki to reflect this. I would, but I'm always nervous about messing with the pages with lots of tables and images. I know I'll break 'em eventually.

Also, don't be surprised when someone comes in here and flips out because they followed your advice and got a Time & Space: Stealth, or a triple from a mez set. Remember: because you said they can get a good roll means tht they must get a good roll.

I think the OP means something a little different.

    1- Player gets mezzed.
2- Player is about to die.
    3- OSHI-!
    4- [Self Destruction]!
5- Player unmezzes and blows up.

If I'm right, I'm gonna have to say no. That would be like allowing blasters to nuke or scrappers to Shield Charge while mezzed, even if the damage is way lower.
  24. Y'know, when I read the OP, I thought "that won't work as stated, but with one simple tweak, it would!"

I scrolled down, seeing if anyone had already posted my idea. They hadn't. However, I don't feel like getting chewed out for not loving his idea exactly the way he posted, so screw it. Enjoy your tantrum. I'll go elsewhere.
