It's not enough to look at ranks, you have to look at the types of enemies too. As mentioned above, different factions have different rules, and not every mission has a "boss", and for those that do, they're not always set to be a boss rank. With Council, Skyraiders and Warriors especially, I've often had a Adjutant, Captain, or other Lt as the "end boss".
If you, for example, do an entire mission on a duo and never see a Freak Tank, there's nothing unusual there. If you are solo, and then add another player partway through the mission, seeing a Freak Tank scaled down to Lt is possible. If you are teamed from the beginning of the mission, and see a Freak Tank Lt, then something is happening in a way it shouldn't. -
I've had that happen too, but the official "how it works" is that anything over 60 days can be deleted, if your account is inactive, and I have also lost items while my account was unsubscribed just as often as I've come back to them still there
-
They removed the 60 day limit on active accounts. That means that if you unsubscribe, the 60 day rule comes back into effect until you resub.

To the OP:
If, as Chad suggested, you just want to pay one month at a time, and you have a PayPal account, you can use PayPal to set up a one-time payment, alleviating the need to go through the steps of cancelling. There is a fee for using PayPal, but it's so small that when I've already got a currency exchange factored in, I don't even notice if it's paid by the purchaser (you) or the seller (NCSoft).
Just one more option on the table for you.
Oh.... i can haz ur stufz? i m way koolr den graystar iz! -
It can sometimes delay a couple hours, especially if you were logged in at the time of the purchase.
You should get a fix from support in 24 hours or less - usually much less. -

I have to admit, I've never farmed Nemesis. In fact, I've never farmed much redside. Anything I've farmed, I can usually take out any bosses that survive the AoEs with 1-2 weak attacks, though I can see how Gloom would be helpful against Nems.
-
Quote:Yeah, when I posted, I had forgotten about Dark Oblit. As far as Gloom goes, I don't really think it matters as far as farming is concerned. Most of the time you'll either have no bosses, or bosses so weak that [Brawl] is a good enough ST atack to finish them off after the AoEs.Yeah I discovered that -3 minons are gray which = no drops, so at this point I am either taking the mish at 49, or 50. At this point I will probably screw it and just take it at 50
Dark Obliteration is a targeted aoe also, and Gloom pwns for single target damage on bosses and such

One or two snarky replies, and the rest answer your question fully, and you dismiss them all as trolls, and call them stupid and jerks?
Remind me to avoid your threads in the future, lest I be improperly labeled as well. -
The plan, as given in the OP, is a terrible way to farm purples. It will have a far lower return than farming even levels, or even +2 or higher.
Why? Because half to three quarters of the kills will give no drops at all.
Minion class enemies con white at +0, blue at -1, green at -2, light grey at -3, and dark grey at lower levels. Enemies that con dark grey give nothing at all. Light grey enemies give Inf, XP, Prestige and Inspirations only. This means that only the Lts and Bosses would have a chance to drop any recipes, purple or otherwise.
Taking the mission at 48 and farming at +0 or higher, or taking at 49 and farming at any difficulty are both viable ways to maximize potential purple drops.
If you plan on farming under-level enemies with Super Strength, it's worth considering Mu or Soul Mastery - both have an AoE Immob that will prevent the Knockback of Foot Stomp, which as others have said, will be converted to Knockback. I would personally pick Mu; the Targeted AoE is easier to use than the cone, and Ball Lightning adds some extra AoE if you haven't got the recharge on FS low enough to rely on it alone yet. -
Quote:When did that happen? I've been using coh.redtomax.com and being mildly inconvenienced by its lack of updates forever, didn't realize it had moved.Red Tomax's City of Data (and related pages) has been updated and moved onto the Titan Network servers:

It's been there since the Arcane Booster was introduced. It's only available with jackets though (can't remember if it's sleeved, sleeveless or both).

They added the fur shoulders from the Bolero as an individual piece, so I don't see why not. If they took the rigid piece from the high-collar cape and removed the flexible part (not sure how easy this would be, but I doubt it would be earth-shatteringly difficult), it would make an excellent shoulder piece.

Still awaiting the 72 month vet award as of yesterday. -

I'm sorry, but "piss" and "fiery" do not belong in the same post. I literally flinched on reading that sentence, because I read it too fast and it blurred together.

Everything has an upper and lower limit. The opposite of a "cap" is a "floor". ie "We floored his ToHit value".
Like caps, floors vary. There is no limit to how much you can debuff a target, but rather, how much debuff can be stacked on a single target.
If the floor for a certain attribure is -50%, and the target starts at +25%, and you debuff them by -30%, they are at -5% and can be debuffed a further -45%. Anything beyond that is ignored until earlier debuffs wear off.
Note that there is no limit to how much debuff can be applied, other than the practical limit imposed by durations and recharge. It is just ignored if it forces a value below the floor, and it is countered by buffs of the same type (recharge/slow, defense/defense debuff, etc). -

Quote:That'd be nice! I've got a bunch of backup names lined up for a character I'll be making post-GR, and I'm out of slots for name camping (come GR, I intend to open an entire second account). One of them that I had considered, "Silverbright Sentinel," was too long by just one letter. This is a fantastic name and it's a pity that nobody can use it!Quote:StalkrBob SneakyPants could get his full name and not have to lose that one "e"!
There have been so many times that I've come up with the perfect name, and started counting off the letters, to find that I was one <bleep!>ing letter over the <bleep!>ing limit!
Arg! -
Quote:You mean like the one I used yesterday to pay for the account that doesn't expire until next Thursday? It'd be nice if they just gave us a 'Pay Now' option, without jumping through hoops.
Cancel Account (if it's on a recurring payment plan) -> Reactivate Account -> Pay with PayPal -> Choose Pay Now instead of recurring billing.
EDIT: You don't have to cancel billing every time, either, just once. I never "subscribe" on my second account, I just throw a few bucks at it through PayPal whenever I can afford it. Sometimes the account runs out and cancels, other times it has several months banked. -
Quote:The vet attacks and [Self Destruction] ignore damage buffs (and debuffs!), but not Accuracy, To Hit, Recharge, Global Endurance Reduction (Conserve Power, Energize, Vigilance), or any other buffs.Technically (except for recharge on some few powers) no vet or booster powers are affected by outside buffs. This, techincally, includes yellows - however yellows boost your to-hit(which is then modified by the powers accuracy), not accuracy. No surehow the game applies global accuracy bonus and how that interacts with the powers like the Vet attacks and self-destruct.
Recharge on [Self Destruction] might be an exception, but I'm not sure. I think it is set to ignore Recharge buffs and debuffs too.
Hitting [Aim] or [Build Up] before blowing up will make it more accurate - I have tested this with the Combat Monitor - but won't boost its damage. -

And actually that message should be more "player friendly" versus "tech error message," IMHO. "Using too many args? What?"
The /help command should accept any number of arguments, and ignore them. Then, when the /help window opens, the first line should tell you to use /hc if you meant to use the Help Channel.
And the Active Tab setting for the Help Channel should definitely be fixed.
