I've reported this to @IneffableBob and suggested finding a way to make the Twitter reporting differentiate between badge earning and title setting, as well as pointing him to this thread. Hopefully he'll be able to do something about it.

After that update, it waits 300 seconds until posting another. After that, it waits 3600 before posting another. And so on. After a cycle or two without any updates, the timer resets.

In other words, it could be developed to be a bit less noisome.
    Does nobody read?

It already exists, although via Twitter, not Facebook, thought Twitter can be set to send the output to Facebook (with some difficulty, in light of their current technical issues). And there is no spam, because the feature Tony is talking about already exists in the code. Your new character would get one post saying "Some New Toon earned the I'm Awesome! badge and 17,000 other badges." No spamming at all.

I get that every now and then. I'll click on one, and it'll say a totally different mission (one that wasn't even being offered!) in my Nav. The one I picked will be on my mission list under it. I've never been sure what causes it; I usually just run the one I picked, and sometimes the other goes away on its own, other times, I have to run it too.
  6. With just a brief excerpt from that log, I can only guess what happened.

Most likely, since you said there were Nemesis involved, you killed a Nem Lt, the Rikti attacked, the Nem finished his death animation and fired his haxxorz version of Vengeance, and then the heavily-buffed Rikti attacked again.

It only reports badges earned, not verified. It also only reports periodically; I regularly see "Character earned badge and 3 other badges.", and the level up notifications can be gated, so that you don't get spammed with level 1-10 in 15 minutes - it defaults to "do not report level ups below level 10". All in all, it's not very spammy, especially since Facebook sees them all as "Twitter updates" and groups them all, and shows only one with "See X other similar posts."

I can't get the darn Twitter app to work. I gave it my username and password a bazillion times and it keeps saying, "Oops! Something went wrong: Invalid credentials Invalid user name or password". I even reset my password to make sure it was correct; no worky.
The official Twitter app won't register new accounts at the moment. There's a couple other options available until they get around to fixing it.

HeroStats feeds badge info to Twitter, which can be set to retweet to Facebook. I think that badge tweeting *might* only be in the unstable build, you'd have to ask @IneffableBob to know for sure.

Well, I wasn't planning on taking Mu Lightning anyways. :P

I wasn't honestly all that sure how useful the Fences would be, since I don't have [Burn] to scatter enemies. Sounds like Soul it is.

    Thanks all!

As far as "team mentality" goes, yes the team should work together. Working together doesn't mean having a kin babysitting toons that can't turn on [Sprint] without gasping for breath. Myself, I quit team the instant I hear "We need a kin", "I need Speed Boost" or anything of the sort.

I'd rather have Father Xmas of a power pool scrapper on my team, than you refusing good players for skipping skippable powers. Good thing I'm on his server and not yours.

I'm working on a SS/SR brute, and am getting fairly close to choosing a Patron. My build is a little tight, and I only have room for two Patron Powers. I'm stuck between Gloom/Dark Oblit or Fences/Ball Lightning. Any suggestions?

I don't think I've ever seen someone explain why the pause is necessary. Thanks for the clarification.

    And the new end-game system.

    But nobody cares about those.

EDIT: I just noticed that the OP has a join date 2 months before me, meaning that he started BEFORE I did. How the heck could he think that "XP has been nerfed", considering the two XP adjustments, one debt adjustment, AND the introduction of Patrol XP, just in the time since I started, let alone any earlier changes?

This would not work for a macro though.
It also requires the key to be held for a fraction of a second, not just a quick tap, correct?
  15. I haven't seen anything that specifically addresses this: When i17 goes live, and the old Posi TF goes into Ouroboros, will it still award the Positron's Ally badge, or will the new TF be the only way to get it?
  16. You forgot the most important ones: Dark Blast and Dark Manipulation for Blasters.
  17. About a month ago, I decided to do an experiment. I rolled up a brand new stalker, and laid out some simple rules for him to see how much money I could make as I leveled up.

    The rules:
1- All drops must be used, given away for free, or vendored.
2- Anything can be purchased off the market, for personal use only. No arbitrage.
3- Anything with "Gold" in its name may be freely bought and sold on the market.

And thus, The Gold Seller was born.

In the low levels, I made a few hundred thousand fairly quickly by flipping [Gold], but the price was so low that I really wasn't making enough to spend my time there. With the money I had built up, I began flipping [Alchemical Gold].

When I started, I was buying at 16,000 and selling for 256,000. The bids were filling within a few hours, and the sales were made overnight, often for 300-500,000 each.

There was someone else working on the [Alchemical Gold]. We had bidding wars several times, and very quickly, the minimum price was 30-40,000, but sales were still made in the 250-350,000 range, though half million sales were becoming far rarer. Within about 2 weeks, I had made just under 100 million.

At about that time, the "patient bidder" price had worked its way up to 55,000, and the "buy now" was under 200,000. I had over 100 pieces of salvage listed that weren't moving. At all.

In a move of desperation, I started buying everything below my price point, forcing people who wanted it nao! to buy mine. This lasted a few hours each time, usually ending in a break-even. The "buy now" price continued to drop, while the "patient bidder" price remained constant. I pulled a significant portion of my stock and relisted at lower prices, basically break-even once all the market fees were accounted for. Still, no sales for me in the last two days.

Right now, I have about 150 [Alchemical Gold] listed on the market for 150-230,000 Inf each. When I started, you had to pay at least 250,000 Inf to get one nao! Once, out of curiosity, I bid crept until I purchased someone else's. I got to 2,000,000 before I stopped, and still hadn't gotten a bite. Now, the price ranges between 50,000 and 100,000. It's easy to bid 70,000 and get one now. I've lost 20 million in the last week, trying to get something back for all this stock I have.

In conclusion: Yay! I made some money by flipping. I got enough to keep the character enhanced for his entire lifetime, but not enough for a serious build. In under a month, I destroyed the source of my income, to the point where I lose money if I try to make any off it. And everyone else wins, because I've collapsed the price from a 10,000-2,000,000 range to a 50,000-80,000 range.

Perhaps by constantly switching from one item to another, I could continue to make money. But each item I targeted would similarly collapse, destroying any potential earning ability I had. I imagine that, now that I'm leaving that niche, it will expand again, until it again reaches the point it was at when I entered the market. But until then, enjoy your reduced price [Alchemical Gold].
  18. You're NEVER guaranteed an EB/AV. You just have a CHANCE on a big team.
  19. Dr Aeon ganked me in a Safeguard about 2 weeks ago. I was solo, +2x8, yes bosses, no AVs. I lost because I couldn't kill his EB form solo before his minions escaped.
  20. You can also use optionset noxp 1 to force XP earning off or optionset noxp 0 to force it on, rather than toggling it. But I tend to prefer the toggle method.
  21. This is all of the slash commands currently in the game. None of them have anything to do with recipes. I don't believe you have any option other than what you were already doing.

That's true, but still, many people I know don't even look at the insp tray unless they're about to die - sometimes not even then.

From my understanding, the rewards for "staying true" are available only to Heroes and Villains, not to Vigilantes or Rogues. Posi also said something way back at Hero Con that led me to believe that a Hero or Villain that had been through the morality gauntlet could still get these rewards, but would find it slower or harder to do so.

As far as a Hero going Vigilante, then back to Hero, you can't do that. At least, not directly. Morality was described as being like a wheel - once you start to shift, you have to go all the way around to get back. While it seems silly to say that someone who's fundamentally good, but acted a little naughty, has to become truly evil before becoming good again, it was necessary - The instant Going Rouge was announced, before we knew anything about it, people were announcing their plans to sit on the threshold between Good and Evil and bounce back and forth to reap whatever benefits they could. Making thechange cyclical allows people to do this, but not quickly.

I had a scrapper was a bit squishy whil levelling, so I created a bind that included every Tier 1 /insp_exec_name command except greens and blues, and I constantly mashed it. Suddenly, he was godly, even though his build was nothing special. Even with my level 50 characters with complete builds, regular inspiration use makes a HUGE difference.
