It's new, and I'm fairly sure that it's not supposed to be there (yet). Costume parts have a bad habit of slipping into the game early, one or two pieces at a time. Even worse, some have an equally bad habit of vanishing when they're supposed to be there (See: certain Martial Arts Booster pieces).
-
Quote:There isn't supposed to be. Global mail is (obviously) connected to the global server, so if you try to claim an item while the global server is down, it won't be there (until it comes back up), and if you try to send something while the server is down, it will be lost forever! If you want to make sure the latter case doesn't happen, email yourself some kind of junk item or 1 Inf first, just to see if it goes through. Is there a time limit on claming these?
I just lost some that I had sent and were just sittting out there waiting to be claimed.
Other than that, the only reason the mail should "vanish" is if the character in question has their email turned off in their settings. -
Quote:Well, if you really, really want to help, you could always set up a NA trial account, wait 24 hours for the servers to sync, and help test on the other servers.Except that EU test is down. The reason is:
Thats it. There is no reason given. Other than 'Something super secret we cant talk about'.
*shrug*
Actually, I guess that won't work, since trials can't get high enough level to access Cimerora.
Alright, then, ignore that part of my post - I didn't know that your Test Server was down. But the rest still holds true. -
This issue exists on all servers, not just EU ones, you can easily break free by jumping forward and back a few times, and there is already a thread about this - it's the patch notes on the test server forum where they say that the old fix didn't work properly and there is a new fix that will (hopefully) make it work properly. If you want to help speed the patch onto Live, log into Test and help test the patch - the more testing is done, the sooner they'll be sure it's safe to push Live.
And if you don't want to jump around each time you zone in, you have two other options available: If you bought the Mac Edition or Valkyrie booster, you can call the repeatable contact to get a mission, and mission port to Cim, or if you're 50, you can use Ouroboros or the crystal in your base to start Daedalus or Sister Airla's arc, click the crystal to port to contact, and then quit team. -
Quote:That would be Fulmens.Who is it that has that guide to Frankenslotting? I think the OP would probably love that strategy.
EDIT: Dammit, didn't see that Ad Astra had already posted. Oh well, I still provided the link to the guide. :P -
Quote:It wasn't in the announcement, it was in one of the dev posts about the mail system, and it explicitly said that outgoing mail with an item attached counted towards the 20 limit until the item was claimed. Taking the item and saving the email turns it into a regular mail, and it no longer counts against the limit. I suspect that the reason for this is that otherwise, you could send out hundreds of emails with items to friends, and have them return them, effectively giving us unlimited storage despite the limit. My inactive secondary account that I used as a test does not even really use e-mail, so it has never sent or received 20 total e-mails, let alone having 20 still active... then again, for all I know the e-mail options on that account might be disabled completely and bouncing it automatically.
So as another test, I just sent to a third account which has also been inactive inside the 90 day period. I know the e-mail preferences were active on that account as I used it a couple times before letting it expire. It still did not send or receive a total of 20 e-mails though, and it STILL bounced the mail back to my main account.
On a sidenote, I have a slightly different interpretation of the mail announcement (unless there was a more detailed one that I missed). I believe you are allowed to send or receive a new attachment when your inbox has less than 20 attachments in it. Outgoing mails do not count. If a sent e-mail is "returned" or bounced back when an account expires, it may exceed your limit of 20, but you will have to claim them until you have less than 20 in order to be able to send or receive again.
If it worked the way you say it, then 20 random e-mails over the years that 20 people happen to save for whatever reason might screw you out of being able to even use the attachment feature ever again and you wouldn't even know who is saving the mails and wouldn't be able to take any kind of action to correct it.
Also, if you have multiple active accounts, it would be easy to test: Send 19 item mails from @Account1 to @Account1, then one from @Account1 to @Account2. You now have 19 incoming item mails and one outgoing (Total 20). If you can still send more, then only incoming counts. If you're stopped, then it counts both. -
Originally, the Regenerative Tissue, Numina's Convalescence and Miracle uniques were bugged so that the bonuses they gave were enhancable by other enhancments slotted in the same power. When people realized this, Mids' was updated to reflect it. Now that the bug has been patched, has Mids' been changed back to show the proper values? I assume it has, but I'm not sure where the patch notes for Mids' are, nor am I sure enough of my math to check it myself.

Something to remember: You can only have 20 emails with items in them at a time. According to the announcement, this includes both incoming and outgoing. This means that if you send 20 emails with items attached to your inactive account, you can neither send nor receive item mail until that account is reactivated and the items are either claimed or returned.
This may apply to what Master-Blade is seeing too: If the inactive account is "full", either with items in their mailbox, or items sent from that account to others, but not yet claimed, all item mail sent to that account will automatically bounce. -
My build is softcapped.
But it sucks everywhere else.
I cannot Kill Skuls.

A buff and a debuff are the exact same thing, except that one has a positive value, the other a negative. In all cases, if a buff or debuff is ignored, then the corresponding opposite is as well.

No that would be "Elite" or "Boss". Since out targeting system gets confused by spaces (Go to Port Oakes and try "/targetcustomnext Marcone Capo"), "Elite" is sufficient for an EB, and "Boss" would be, obviously, a Boss.
-
And if, for some technical reason, it doesn't work, I suggest /target_rank_next [Archvillain|Hero|Elite|Boss|Lieutenant|Minion|Unde rling|Pet]

The prompt was never optional. Before a fairly recent patch you HAD to click Yes or No or wait for it to count down every time. Since that patch, the prompt NEVER shows up - you always auto accept. With the new patch on Test, the prompt will pop up every time again.
Unlike the teleport prompt, there is no way to set the Fortune Buff to autoaccept or autodecline - it (currently) always accepts and soon will always ask. -
You can also buy the Hero Gear Kit direct from NCSoft at Hero Con for $20. It contains all the stuff that was in the collector's edition, though in a plain white box instead. It was available last year and the year before. (That's where I got mine) Since there's no Hero Con this year, I don't know if the Hero Gear Kit will be made available.

You need to add a [/url] to the end of each of your links.

Quote:I'm not one of the stupidly rich people with eleventy billion Inf on each toon, but I'd still gladly spend a few million at a "Gun Store" that sold high-capacity temp powers of similar capability but more charges than the recently introduced recipes. I'd even drop the money for recipes that I had to go to the market and buy the salvage to craft. And I think a lot of people would, especially if the bottom tier available was a low number of charges (5-10 max), but very cheap - roughly the cost of a level 30-40 SO.Temp powers available directly from the store, and for different costs. For example, the "18 Stun Grenades" power costs 100,000, making this temp power accessible to new players. The mutually excluisve "64 Stun Grenades" power costs 10,000,000. Its very much a luxury item, all it does is allow you to skip going back to the store, but players do exist with that kind of money to throw around. The cheap Kinetic Dampener Shield lasts 10 minutes, the expensive one lasts for an hour, but costs 1000 times more, and so on.

Quote:This. You will not show up on ANY list if you're "Hidden from everything", and if someone sends you a /tell, they get the "Is offline or hidden" message, so you can freely ignore it. The only people who can find you in-game through the search tools while you're hidden are GMs.When you're "hidden from everything" it pretty much means every channel possible. Blocks you from getting invites as well. The only way to be seen online is for someone physically see your character walking around. Which is difficult considering nobody is looking for you if they don't think you're there.
-
Not quite. It's because someone entered "Samantha" in the name field, and checked the box that said "Male". Whether that was correct or not is irrelevant.

Using /getglobalname on the characters in the Suprgroup will give the global of that person, whether they're on or not, but it still won't answer the OP's question: Someone who left the SG, but not the SG's global channel can't be found that way.

Quote:Guys, new characters get one of those enhancements, apparently at random. They're nothing to go crazy about. You can enhance ONE of your powers more than you naturally could until level 20, but afterwards, the cheapest double aspect IO does the same and has bonuses, too. They're no big deal.Quote:Originally Posted by http://goingrogue.na.cityofheroes.com/en/gamestop/These Enhancements are only available to newly created characters. I'm curious about the enhancements. They're compared to level 20 DO's. Does that mean that their enhancement value scales with my level, and that they eventually expire? Or will they provide their enhancement and proc effect from level 1-50?
