So I have had a kind of rotten holiday weekend and then I log into DA and find this:
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Pi...-Gift-91058828

    Absolutely...amazingly...awesome.

RocketBoy, I have always thought you were the bees knees since I first saw Rocket Boy back when I first learned about DA. I've always enjoyed seeing him along with Green Radience. Your gallery is one of the first I ever saw and thought, 'That's so cool! I wonder what it would be like to have some art like that?'

So, thank you so much for your generosity and talent. It is VERY much appreciated. You made me smile and I really needed that. Oh, and it's a darned swell piece of art, too!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks! It was fun to do. Got to work on a lot of things I need practice in.
  2. RocketBoy

    I'm so excited!

That's nice. Real nice. Awesome work Wassy.
  3. Duece is your man! That's your leader.
  4. Hey that's awwesome. First time I've seen Nadya getting hers....
  5. Guess we know why Soul Train missed the task force a few months back....
  6. That's looking pretty good. I would say the foreshortning on the legs is a little too much. The left should be smaller or the right bigger. Also the positioning of the legs looks off. The right is twisted out too far and could be rotated in a tad. Maybe the left could be tweaked a bit too. The way it curves in at the end gives the impression the inner groin is kinda round. Maybe less curve on the left thigh? I don't know. Better than I could do. Hopefully some folks who can draw will weigh in.

    Good Luck!
  7. Awesome stuff. Incredible.
  8. DJ,

The gloves are awesome. Did you model them? In what program?
  9. Looks fine to me. Bleached hair? Not following on that one at all. Looks like light on hair to me.

    I don't know man, I think it's pretty tight.

    Foo's Newest Art

Yep, it really looks like it would be a fun character to do. I mean you know, do an image of.

    Foo's Newest Art

Very nice. Next time a hero is stuck in a foxhole fighting the Rikti, he can pull this out for inspiriation....

    Opinions needed.

I Like 5 but there's not enough info there. Maybe a blend of 3 and 5.

Dayum buddy you been busy huh? lol

Love em all but Green Radiance by Jeremy is sweet!!

    Brandon's stuff always rocks!

Gratz, have all these been done recently or over a period of time while you have been gone?

    [/ QUOTE ]

These were done over a perior time. Coming up on a year now. It's just that I've been gone so long, never posted them up.

    New art for me!

I really like that Ophelia image. Nice.
  17. That is some sweet work there Very nice.

    Happy 4th Image

Thanks to DJ for some insight on making this a better image. I could'nt take all his recommendations into account but I did the ones I could and I think it really did improve the image. I was trying to go for an oiled skin look but I think DJ maybe right, it does tend to look more plastic. I think I'm going to back down on the gloss on future renders.

Maybe NSFW. No nudity but the pose and theme would be considered mature.

    Happy 4th from Green!

    Happy 4th!
  19. The color on Doctor Spider is really working for me. Nice work.
  20. Her's some recent and not so recent works I've had done.

    Z-Girl by Vagabondx
    http://vagabondx.deviantart.com/art/...ch-13-80566377

A very cool freebie. Z-Girl is on Virtue and was my wifes RP toon after Green hit 50 and before she lost interest. I play her mostly now. Basically, she's a slacker reluctant superhero. Bad attitude about the whole hero thing.

    Z-Girl by Brandon Mckinney
    http://b-mckinney.deviantart.com/art...ickie-89283464

She's not running into battle, she's running back to her apartment to play Xbox.

Rocket and Green by Brandon McKinney
    http://b-mckinney.deviantart.com/art...Quick-89283349

Not much explanation needed but very cool none the less. Got these during Brandon's sale. Awesome bargain.

Rocket and Green off to Celebrate by Superhawkins
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Ro...wkins-78649426

Really cool pic. Superhawkins did'nt do a lot of commissions before he shut it down.

Green Radiance riding a rocket by DSanchez
    http://dsanchez.deviantart.com/art/G...iance-73826923

Since she's in space, I had him add a bubble helmet.

    Lazy Z-Girl by DSanchez
    http://dsanchez.deviantart.com/art/Z...ssion-73777768

Z-Girl works (or more to the point is employed) as an assistant manager of a coffee shop. In actuallity, Z-Girl is rather lean but Sanchex likes his women on the thick side I think.... Oh, not that there's anything wrong with that....

    Green Radiance by Daggerpoint
    http://daggerpoint.deviantart.com/ar...iance-64389286

The recent post got me to thinking, I don't think I ever put this one up here. It's back from Sept.

    Thanks for looking!

I can help ya. I do a lot of postwork on my renders. Got a piece in particular you're looking to touch up?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Here's a few images that I think will illustrate what I'm talking about. The first two are images I'm pretty happy with the final product.

    Bombshell
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Bombshell-64817673

This was part of an art trade with a fellow COH'er of his character Bombshell. I like this one because quite honestly, it rendered pretty close to what I wanted. Did some image filtering, retouching of Bombshell's face and retouching some minor areas and that was about it. Some Atmospheric typ stuff I wish I could do but that's more a 3D issue, not postwork.

    Trash, Mistress of the Undead
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Tr...ndead-66630342

    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Ha...After-67135517

The first one is the final image and the second is a before and after. I had posted up the before as a "final" after I had spent quite a bit of time postworking it. I then recieved some really good recommendations from someone I have a ton of respect for as an artist. I could'nt really reproduce all her recommendations and what I did do was hit and miss. I ended up with something I like a lot but as far as getting there, I was flying blind. This also underscores my weakness in that what I imagine took her a few minutes took me days, do overs and agonizing.

Two images I'm less than happy with

    St Pat's Day
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Ha...-Pats-79756443
    (May be NSFW)

This one is just plain awful. I managed to rework alot of areas that did not render well but could do nothing with her face. It's just so lifeless.

    Mechanika
    http://sodacan.deviantart.com/art/Th...anika-58065319

This is a good one because it illustrates my ability to ruin a picture with postwork. Aiko renders really bad teeth but I don't know that my retouching helped at all. It now looks like she's wearing a mouth piece and she's ready to play linebacker. Her stomach rendered that way and it's a good thing because I have no clue how to do muscles. Her right arm is my effort. The initial render was typical Aiko, kinda square. I postworked it to what you see here. Had no idea what I was doing, it took forever, multilple retries and was totally frustrating.

I will PM the link to the current image I'm working. I don't want to put it up here because it's a wip but feel free to leave your recommendations here. For the most part, it is done. It just has the same issues I've outlined here. Her left arm has that rendered 3D look and I think I've squeezed every bit of emotion out her face I can but it still seems to be missing something. Please check it out and tell me what you think.

Oh yeah, no overt nudity but it may qualify for NSFW.

I've got a pretty thick skin so I won't cry from constructive crits.

Thanks for any insight you can give!
