I'm new to Doms and even newer to the idea of Perma Domination. I'd really like some help if yall don't mind. =)
I've come really close. I can Perma with Hasten active, but Hasten itself is off perma by 10 seconds or so... Will this be good enough or am I kidding myself?

My 2 cents (even though I haven't actually watched the video): The only thing lucky about Sony's success was in the timing. Calling the success itself lucky is a bit of a fallacy. They had good games, technology, and marketing: That's everything needed to present a successful product. And, unlike Nintendo, they didn't treat their 3rd party devs like crap.
All in all, Sony's success was* about as lucky as winning a game of Texas Hold'm Poker. Sure, there's some luck involved, but you still need strategy in order to take it all home.
*Talking about the PS1/PS2 era here. PS3 has been a bumpy ride... and while it's not a complete failure, it's hardly the booming money train that the first 2 consoles were. -
I have a DM/FA Brute sitting at 30-ish right now. I guess this really boils down to 2 questions.
1. How much more effective can I expect him to be with the new changes to Fury, FE, and Burn?
2. Which APP would be most benificial?
I'm considering Pyre Mastery because it's thematic... but Energy Mastery is looking pretty interesting... especially Physical Perfection and Focused Accuracy.
Then again.. I really like the idea of jumping into a mob, slamming down Soul Drain, Melt Armor, FE, and Burn. -
Quote:Redownloaded and I'm still getting the same error for 1 and 2.The Hero files have been updated with maximized compatibility. Please let me know if there is any further issue with them.
"Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
3 does it, but then gives me an additional error and opens.... for some reason. Still, it's clear there is a problem here. I have CS4, newly installed on my machine and everything. Unless you saved it as a CS5 version psd, I don't see why I'm not able to open it. And if they *did* save it as a CS5 version psd... shame on them. That's a rookie mistake. You should have hired me instead. -
I get the feeling all of this is because whats-his-face followed them into the future. It's the same as with the changes fading the farther away from Eureka you go. I can't imagine anything they did in the past would have had any more significant effect than that. At best they would have affected 2 to 3 'steps' into the future before the effect faded. But a man going missing for several years? Every choice he would have made, every event he would have participated it and the people he had influenced... The resulting change would have greatly outweighed anything they did for the few moments they were in the past.
So, we now have a simple (well, plot-wise) solution to their problem. Send old-school back to the past and almost everything goes back to normal. I'm assuming this will happen as a season finale, and the cliff hanger will be the realization that not everything is normal... or perhaps something is even made worse. -
Some of it is decent... others, not so much.
I guarantee most of those took less than 20 minutes to create.
Is it still art? Yeah. Extremely easy art, but art none the less. -
Okay, for some reason I couldn't get a screen from the tailor.... so I have to go off outside screens instead.
If you want me to just switch these to link in order to keep page length to a minimum, let me know. -
I just got mine to 20 and sent him hero-side. I can't wait until I can get him SO'd out. Perma Static Field is going to be SO nice.
-
Surely they wouldn't go the fightclub route....
Natalie's character is definitely going crazy, but Mila's character will be real (and innocent). -
I've been leveling this over my newly created Kin/Regen scrapper and I'm loving it so far. I'm just as squishy, but I have loads more damage mitigation. Both toons are level 9 at the moment, so I haven't really experienced much.
Still... My Dom is smash-tastic. I've got the Elec Hold, Earth spears, the first Hammer, and Fault for AoEs. I just picked up Conductive Aura at level 8 and even unslotted it's awesome. Now I can't wait to get mudpots and see how they work together. I'm planning to bring my Dom Hero side as well, so that +Psionics mastery will give me 3 nice PBAoE toggles.
On a side note, considering the wide variety of power types here... I'm having trouble making a character concept. He's Tech origin... which was probably a bad move. Oh well, hindsight and all that. -
Looks like a combo of Cloverfield and District 9. Not to say that's a bad thing....
-
I don't know... this one seems decent enough for me. And the last one wasn't too bad.
I mean, it's going to be tough to accurately bring a 2D character into 3D anyway. As far as I'm concerned... as long as it isn't 'DBZ-bad' I'll consider it good enough. -
You have to admit... A glitch that prevents people from experiencing 90% of the content in this release is a pretty epic fail. Fortunately I was on promptly at 12 last night and was able to make a toon right before the glitch occured. Still, it was just a concept character and I'm pretty irked that I won't be able to start it over until this gets cleared.
-
Thanks everyone.
Ya know... seeing this on my other computer... I realize I need to drop the screen contrast quite a bit. There are details I'm seeing here that I totally missed.
School work is taking most of my time these days, so it'll probably be a while before I can get to the next project. However, I'll gladly take any suggestions on actor/character Photoshop jobs to do during break (which is about 3 weeks from now). =) -
Someone brought up the idea that Christina Hendricks should play Sister Psyche, in a hypothetical 'Who would play who in the CoH movie' topic. I just got my Photoshop software today, so I decided to have a little fun. =)
It's probably not as good as it should be, but oh well. I have plenty of time to work on it later.
-
Did they say if it was animated? This feels like it could be an animated flick....
In which case, the choice of actor can be excusable as modern-day 'models' for scanning into 3D and alteration. Like Jolie was in Beowulf. -
One would think.... with the changes made to fury... that the reduction in damage done by Brutes wouldn't have to be so severe.
-
I here-by support the 'origin-ification' of certain vague powers. By this, I mean making animations for power sets with specific origins in mine. Take, for example... any elemental set. So, perhaps... someone wanting to create a Fire Blaster with a tech origin can set their animations with that in mind. Fire sword pulls out a lightsaber-like device and fire extends from it.
Although... adding a device like this may cause complications and a little heat. If you add redraw times, people won't like that... but if you don't.. and incorporate the devices appearance into the powers activation time... Assault Rifle and Dual Pistol fans will be angered that they have to deal with redraw while others don't.
By the way, while we're on the subject... could you please... at the very least... remove the mindless redrawing? I don't mind regular redrawing.... saw you have Assault Rifle and use a temp that pulls out a bow. That's fine. That's more realistic.....
But to drop my Assault Rifle so I can use a mind power? And all I'm doing is clenching my fists? No. Just..... no. Even if they have to concentrate really hard... you can do that while holding a friggen gun in your hand. -
If this is a product you are taking seriously... and wish to sell to the public... I really only have one suggestion to make: Find a selling point and concentrate on it. It can be anything so long as it's unique to the CCG market. Otherwise, there's not really anything here to keep people from spending their cash on something like Magic, Yugioh, or even Fightklub.
I'm struggling to come up with an example, since this isn't my project....
Okay, here's a thought. Everyone and their mother has a card game that specifically tells the person how many cards they should have in their hand per turn. How about something more dynamic or random to force player ingenuity? Maybe have each player roll a 6 sided dice to determine how many cards they can (key word, can) add to/have in their hand? This might put more strategy into the game and cancel out the element of the luck of the draw just a bit.
Okay, that's probably not the best example, lol. Still, it's something I haven't seen in a CCG and it's something that could interesting people who are looking for something that's a little different. -
Is it possible they included the costume pack seperately for people who want them, but don't want to have to buy GR just for them?
-
Survivability wise, SR is pretty bad until 35ish. Then once it hits 45 is gets great. And when you IO it out at 50? Who boy, that stuff is SICK.
-
I've had a lot of fun with a lot of my toons, but my favorite is my Elec Melee SR Brute. Lightening Rod with crazy defense numbers? Yes please!
Okay, it was rather frustrating towards the beginning, but it's a friggen beast now. I've almost got it where I can solo missions on max difficulty level and max team number set. =) -
Quote:To be fair here... time didn't loop around on itself. We just had a second (and third) big bang in which everything happened pretty much exactly the same as it did in the last 'Time cycle'. Which, IMO, is much more ridiculous... which also makes it much more hilarious. =)The second he said "It only goes foward" the first thing in my mind was "Oh great, a cop out where time just restarts itself". Guess I should trust that little voice in my head more often.
On a side thought... Nobody other than the three in the Time machine had any clue that there was a previous 'Time cycle'... so it also plays on the whole 'Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it' to a very extreme level. lol.
