Wow... I'm in shock. I never would have guessed he had a drug problem.
Another really good comedian dies way too early. He may not have been as original as someone like Mitch Hedburg... but he always made me laugh. Damn shame... -
Quote:AHAHAHAHAhahahaaa....After 2 weeks Fox's Lonestar is done.
Wow. I can't say I cared for this show, but 2 weeks? That's among the fastest cancellations in TV history. -
Quote:I did a double take when I realized who it was. I don't care how big of an A-hole the guy is, he's still friggen Balki.Anyone else trip out that they got Bronson Pinchot (Balki) on the show for a second...and that's it?
Also, love that the old spice guy was in it.
"Look at your spy, now back to me, now back to your spy, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me. But with Buymore brand Oldspice, he could smell like he's me. Back to your spy, now back to me. Where are you? The Buymore Music Section with the man your spy could smell like. Look down at your hand, back to me. What is it? A CD, with the music of that band you love. Back at your hand, back to me. Look again! The CD is now diamonds! Anything is possible at the Buymore. I'm on a horse." -
I get the feeling he'll be a lot like Vader. Crazy powerful, but still a loyal henchman who takes orders from the Emperor.

Quote:Oh, okay. Thanks for the clarification.2. Temple of the Dog is not Cornells first band. It was actually a super group put together in 1990 by members of Soundgarden (who had actually been formed since 1984) and Pearl Jam to do a tribute album for the late Andrew Wood, lead singer of Mother Love Bone. It is a very good album if you are into grunge.

Quote:I'd love to hear your opinion on Death Magnetic. I appreciate Metallica music in all forms, but I do agree with you that they never were quite as good as they were then they did their early stuff.OPINION TIME:
Anything after the "Black Album" in my opinion is not Metallica and even that album is them transitioning into what we have today (Selloutica).
Okay, back to the topic at hand. Most of the obvious choices have already been said. So some of these may not land exactly on target.
-You may want to check out Temple of The Dog. this was Cornells band before he moved to Soundgarden.
-Rage Against the Machine, The Battle of Los Angeles is a great album.
-Collective Soul. Where the River Flows, Shine, and Heavy are great songs.
-The Prodigy's album The Fat of the Land, if you don't mind a little techno with your heavyness.
-Clutch has some great songs too. One Eyed Dollar, Immortal, Mob Goes Wild, Carefule with that Mic, Wishbone.
-Stone Temple Pilots. I don't really consider them Heavy, but they're good none the less.
-If you don't mind going into the later dates, I highly recommend anything by Coheed and Cambria. Welcome Home is still one of my all time favorite songs. -
Quote:Me too.Oh and i liked the touch of being a totally raining night so we get wet lois boobs
Quote:Otherwise, we get Chloe giving her self up to who knows how and how she even knows who we have no idea.
Quote:We for the I lost count time get clark looking like he is flying only later to say he wasnt and just jumped.
Quote:And to top it all off we got one glimps of dark side who basicly looked like he should have been in one of those crappy 3d animated tranformers cartoons rather then a evening action show. Seriously that shot made doomsday from the other season look like ILM quality effects and i thought doomsday was just barely a step above a Rita monster from Power rangers. -
Wow, the CG on that shadow figure were pretty bad. I'm not entirely sure that's Darkseid. It looked like the smoke was come'n from the crystals used to send the Kandorians away. Although, I suppose he could have used it to travel here... but... come on. No Boom Tube?
Also, the dude beating up Oliver didn't seem like he was a bad guy. When he saw he wasn't making progress with him, he would have killed him and moved on.... Not trade him for Chloe. Me thinkst he might be Orion, looking for Darkseid. If I remember correctly, he was always a hardass. -
True. I mean, it's not like it's Jenna Jameson or Ron Jeremy we're talkin about here.

Quote:In all fairness, I'm probably not the most objective opinion here. Never really been a fan of Perry's "work".Not upsetting at all. I don't really mind a difference of opinion here or there. As I read it, though, it seemed like you and Rock Crag seemed to think she was especially egregious. I was just pointing out that Sesame Street has a long standing history of having people whose "Day Jobs" aren't appropriate for children. That's all.
Dangit, I'm going to have to watch that Katy Perry video at some point, aren't I? I've almost made a career out of avoiding it...
As for the list... I honestly just scanned over it in about 5 minutes. Some of those people I don't even know who they are... Gene Simmons is probably the most damning of the people on the list. I don't know how I skipped over that name...
Anyway, the argument that people who are worse than Perry getting through is valid. Obviously the show doesn't discriminate so much based on history. Granted, I haven't seen their segments either...and can't accurately judge their.. uuhh... position on the awkward meter. -
Thank you for posting that list. I was going to compare Katy Perry with Madonna, but I wasn't sure if she was ever on the show before. Didn't see her on the list. In fact... I couldn't immediately identify anyone on that list that's as trashy as Katy Perry.
*edit* Perhaps I should use a less offensive word. Uuummm... Provocative? -

When Olivia escaped, they called it a Code Blue. I wonder... would that have been a Code Red in our universe?
Also...
The Cab had an ad for the musical 'Dogs'. lmao. This is why I love Fringe. They always pay attention to the details. -
Quote:Interesting comparison. I bet that made my folks nervous as hell.I wonder how you and those same people felt when seeing Tinkerbell in the Peter Pan movies?
However, I *am* a massive perv with no girlfriend, so I'm sure you don't want my answer to that question. lol. -
The fact I felt horrible means there's still hope for me, right?
In all seriousness, though... I side with the 'better safe than sorry' philosophy. -
To me, this seems right on that line between acceptable and not. However, I'm going to side with the censors on this.
Not only because the outfit feels inappropriate, but also because it's Katy Perry and the song is uncomfortable (at best). Had it been an outfit that was less revealing... a song about her chasing Elmo would have felt less sexual and could have kept it's innocent vibe. In the song she actually says "you're in and you're out" and.... dare I say... I almost thought "That's what she said".
I quickly remembered what I was watching and felt horrible. -

I'm still unsure if I want to watch this show or not.
The pilot had me scoffing at and criticizing it until the very end. Then it got kinda interesting.
However... for a show that's been advertised as much as it was... it's severely lackluster.
The story is somewhat interesting, if not superfluous (God I love this word) in it's vagueness.
[satire]
It's 'The Event'! Oooohhhhh, mysterious!
[/satire]
The filming is just too confusing. I was a fan of Lost, and I appreciated the Flash backs and their contribution to the story.... but the way this show does it is downright sloppy.
ADD much?
I actually found myself mentally clinging to any period of story that occurred for longer 10 minutes because I just couldn't take another random jump in time.
*3 months earlier*
Hey, a new commercial for that show 'The Event' I wonder if that will last longer than Flash Forward did.
*.....*
*From current day, not from 3 months ago*
I'm getting kinda tired of 'The Event' and I haven't even seen the show.
OMG, the plane is going to crash! Wait, how did we get back to present day? We've flashed between so many scenes I'm having trouble keeping track.
Anyway, I'll watch the next few episodes... if only because of the pilots ending. I'm keeping myself at a safe distance, though. I'm serious about it being the next Flash Forward. That sucker got a lot of advertising bucks and was flushed when it didn't perform as well as expected. And because both have similar plots... I can * history repeating itself.

I apologize if this has been asked before...
I posted a topic in the Going Rogue Forum and completely forgot this topic was here. So, I'm going to ask... and if you feel the need, lock that topic.

Lore-wise, how do the Dark Powers in Praetoria work? Do they pull from the same 'Netherworld' as the powers on Primal Earth, or do they have their own? If they have their own, shouldn't they at least look different?
Is this 'Netherworld' a different dimension or an 'afterlife'?
This is probably a very nit-picky subject, I know. I'm just curious about it. -
Yeah, the 7 of 9 one is funny. They really should have added to cupcakes below to represent her 'lovelies'. That's what most nerds remember her for, after all.
