On a side note... the special effects they used for these aliens are *much* better than what they used for the aliens that captured Rush and The Regenerator™.

Judging by his performance in Inception, I can't accurately predict a villain who would fit.... so... here are my choices based on other criteria.
Most likely choice: Riddler.
Who I want see: Clock King. Batman TAS style. -
I love the thought that they're pre-clone Asgardians. Those pods could have been stasis or even healing chambers.
They made it quite a while without Telford... I honestly think this disappearance will stick. The most we'll hear of him is the next time they use the communication stones... and find out Telford mysteriously came through Earths Stargate with reinforcements to help stop the Alliances attack. -
I don't know about anyone else, but Villains is a bit of a mixed bag for me. They have some of my favorite class types and NPC characters, but the environment is just so.... dull. Combine that with lack of interesting content (Less SFs than TFs, fewer zones, fewer giant monsters, etc) and it's easy to see why people switched.

This was a great episode. As many have said, not as ubar awesome as the one before it, but still great. Loved how the ending tied together with the ending on Hanks episode...
*Spoiler*
I also loved that the only reason for the alternate universe Dr. Venture showing up was the return Dr. Venture. lol. -
Quote:I actually thought about either Ollie or Clark outing themselves. At first, as a solution for Clark. He can be out there in the open, like Super Girl, and we'd be heading in the right direction for him... perhaps have everyone magically hypnotized into not recognizing Clark as 'Superman' later. And then, as a solution for Ollie... to avoid the negative 'outing' by Godfrey and to put a positive spin on it.
- The Ollie outing was clearly straight out of Iron Man, but let's hope we get some interesting stories out of it
But then I realized it was too much like Iron Man and threw the thought away.
Honestly, it should have been Clark. I can't see any real reason for Ollie doing it other than pure drama. Or maybe Chloe showing up to try and fix it for him. She did leave rather abruptly. -
Quote:It's not just you. I didn't think they could do worse than Darkseid's smokey entrance... but then I saw that billboard and crane flop around awkwardly... and I laughed. Was it just me, or was the computer graphics in this ep really awful?

If something is animated so poorly that it makes people laugh during (what's supposed to be) a serious situation? Yeah, you might want to reconsider some things.... -
It is. And I called it on the first episode of the season. It makes me... both proud and disappointed.
The actor was good, though. Just a shame he wasn't wearing 3 tons of special FX make-up, and written as an Alien ambassador who's publicly criticizing the heroes for not being as open and honest as he. -
While I'm glad they did less flashbacks than they normally do.... it really feels like the show tries too hard to be shocking. I saw the girlfriends betrayal from a mile away. As soon as they showed the scene where the girl had to choose to go one way or stick with her guy... and she chose the guy, I knew they'd probably turn on each other later... in some way...
I don't know. The only semi interesting character is Jason Ritter and the insider cop-alien. Although the kidnapper chick is pretty hot...
Still, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be following the show. It's so close to grabbing my attention, but it can't quite get there. -
Named my soldier Agent Nobody. He's a master of disguise who's only out for himself. I even made costumes for his various false IDs and the organizations he's infiltrated (IIRC, Longbow, Crey, Carnival, Arachnos). He has no real ID (he's long since forgotten it), so he created the Agent Nobody persona to help keep things in order.
*edit* Yes, he has the crab legs... and he *still fools everyone*. lol -
My mistake. Although, looking up the subject on Wikipedia... it does seem Harry was Hobgoblin in Ultimate. Probably doesn't count, but good to know I was partially right on accident. lol.

Quote:Hhhmmm.... Fair enough. Quite frankly, I think 3 should have been 2 movies. Venom in his own deal, and Sandman/Hobgoblin (I despise they changed the flier into a neo-flying-skateboard) in another. Now, if only they had the balls to have Black Spiderman kill off a lowbie thug as the downside for the new suit, we wouldn't need that idiotic Emo Spiderman song and dance.Ok I got what you mean. Though I am a sucker for bad movies though, I liked both the First Street Fighter(yes the one with Jon-Claude van dam) and all the mortal combat movies and Mario Bros I kinda liked also but that just may because I was like 8 when it came out and you know kids. I can't comment on Plan 9 from outerspace though never saw it.
I think cause I am just such a huge spiderman fan that I was so highly dissappointed with it and how they basdardized it and Venom. Lets just agree it's the worst spiderman anything ever done. -
'Could have been worse' doesn't mean 'It was good'. There are plenty of movies that *were* worse than Spiderman 3. Granted, there is a subjective element here... but in pure terms of quality in all areas of film making... Street Fighter (the first, not the recent Chun-Li adaptation [That's not to say I don't think it's bad, I just haven't seen it yet and don't think I could accurately judge it's crapitude]), Mario Brothers and Plan 9 From Outerspace immediately come to mind. Shall I name more, or do you understand my point now?

Quote:This. Dear GOD 10x this.I will say this though. In Cat they have found a person even more annoying than Lana. I desperately hope they kill her or at least evict her soon otherwise I'll be fast forwarding through every scene she is in and will likely miss plot points.
Cat's point of view is a valid one... but it really feels like A. She doesn't have any valid *reason* for her opinions, and B. She's given it for the sole purpose of pushing Clark into the 'light'. She's just all 'I hate mask wearers. They have something to hide and I fear them for no apparent reason'.
Granted, I missed the first few minutes of the show... so if I missed a valid plot point, I *might* take that back. -
Quote:/e devils advocatecan't be any worse than 3 was, so here's hoping it'll be worth admission price.
I know you're saying this to emphasize how bad 3 was.... but really... It could. Honestly, 3 wasn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It was a massive disappointment, sure. The hype train behind it and the appearance of Venom as a major enemy gave the fans hope for an incredible experience... and when they didn't get it, they raged. Also, considering the awesome-sauce that was Spiderman 2... It's understandable everyone left 3 with a 'wtf' face on.
At the very least, Spiderman 3 had incredible special effects... does it excuse the rest of the crap? Maybe not... but as bad as it was.... it could have been a lot worse. -
Not only that, but he's able to make bullets curve in the air. He couldn't just hit the gas tank... he had to hit the engine block through the tailpipe. >_<
The only part of the episode that was done decently was Lois and Hawkman in Egypt. Everything else was just... wrong... -
D is for Darkside. That's good enough for me.

New episode on last night as well. Anyone catch it?
Something tells me Peter is already putting things together about Fauxlivia. There are little things that she's doing differently that he may pick up on. For example, she's not wearing her hair up as much as she used it. Or her sudden interest in music. Peter is pretty observant. I wouldn't be surprised if he catches on quickly (and without a glaringly obvious mistake by Fauxlivia). -
Quote:Interesting. I wonder if it would look that way (slow and floaty) or look like a regular jump, just much higher. I've heard some of the better jumps recorded have reached 5 feet. Assuming everything scales equally... that's... what... 20 feet max?Well since they say this new planet is 3x or 4x as massive as Earth if a human-like critter did evolve there they'd be used to a much higher gravity environment than Earth's. My guess is if they were to come to Earth at the very least they could hop around pretty high the same way we can when we go to the Moon. Maybe not exactly Super Jump, but certainly more super than us.
Granted... we have no idea what their muscle composition would be like... or even how strong they would be when compared to us on even terms (they in their gravity, us in ours). But still, I'd say that's a fair estimation.
