Well even at level 50 their base damage for the brawl attack is 50 and change, ED capped to 100ish. Jolting chain is base 11.12 damage, ED capped to 22.24 per target. I can sneeze on a mob at 50 for more than 22 damage, and there aren't enough +dam auras in the game to improve that. Long story short they don't do enough damage, the rest of the set delivers way more sapping than I could ever possibly need, and thus gremlins need some more damage going downrange. That's why I suggested adding charged bolts.

So my electric control/psi dominator turned 32 today and I picked up Gremlins the pet power. Bearing in mind that I didn't experience gremlins in the beta (fiddled with praetoria stuff mostly) I was uh... less than thrilled by their stats in practice.

Currently they've got approximately 700 hit points, and two total attacks: one from electric melee, and jolting chain. Their detailed info box claims they've got a pbaoe damage aura (that I've never seen tic) and some resistance to energy damage too.

Now, having seen jolting chain as a useful control power and a completely laughable attack from my own experiences, would it be possible to add a real ranged attack to the little buggers? I'm not suggesting anything OMG huge damage wise, but something on the order of charged bolts, maybe? It's not exactly blow the doors off damage, but it's a reasonably fast recharge and would supplement the otherwise lacking offensive capability of the Gremlins nicely without making them overpowered. I'd even be willing to trade in the "damage aura" that they claim to have, since as far as I can tell it doesn't actually exist.

Speaking from personal experience, elec/psi is very complimentary. You get +recover/regen in conductive aura and drain psyche both, there's a good amount of control and AoE, and you don't even need to use Domination to keep your blue bar up. I'm enjoying mine tremendously so far.

Add me to the group that loves fighting carnies. Many of my high level characters I play regularly ignore their end drain (electric, dark armor), have high defense (night widow, crab spider, etc.) and/or bring a lot of lethal damage that makes them fold like a house of cards.

I think putting a blank name in the rename box will restore them to default.

The defense ones might be more worthwhile for imps, since their hitpoints are really low and they don't have much innate resistance to build on. As for dark servant, it does not accept either pet sets or recharge intensive pets, so you can't put any of those IOs in him.

Yet one more reason I'm quite relieved I subscribe/have memberships at ZERO (yes, zero. Not one, not two, but none) social networking/tweeting/whatever else ******** you want to call it sites. I'm firmly in the "If you need to know then you bloody well do already" camp regarding personal info.

I just saw this this afternoon (with my mom, actually ) and we both enjoyed it tremendously. Our conclusion was "Fun film. Not high art, but fun." I think as long as you don't walk in expecting Citizen Kane or Dr. Zhivago you'll have a good time.

Except that buying any Catalyst Game Labs product is actively supporting a liar, thief, and embezzler who robbed his own company so blind that none of their freelancers get paid and blew the money on a million dollar house. Completely leaving aside the fact the other big cheese there tried to force his accountant to falsify the books to avoid paying taxes and deceive the license owners.

I plan to see both. Probably Expendables as a matinee show, then Scott Pilgrim in the afternoon/evening.

Stick with the common endmod IOs or use maybe perf. shifter: endmod and add a 4th slot for the perf. shifter +end proc.

I would definitely be interested in functionality such as this.

You might want to give /storm a glance for the secondary. I have a storm/dp defender who works pretty well, and corrs would probably be more fun since they do more damage. Storm has the edge in that all of it's toggle or click, drop, and forget so you have more time to spend rockin' the pistols.

I post lots of builds (mostly for feedback when I crunch 'em in mids' ) but oddly very few of my high level live characters have their exact builds posted anywhere online. That's not out of secrecy or anything, just that I'm too lazy to open a build in-game then copy it over to mids' when I could be doing something fun like RPing or murderizing mass waves of npcs. So even if I did post a variant of a live build, it'd only end up being a "close enough for gov't work" version.

Anything that gives me more costume options (ESPECIALLY that gods be damned male-only Renegade hat from the magic pack) is /signed immediately.

I'd say drop suppression fire (I've had 4 DP characters, none of 'em have ever gotten much out of it) and get both piercing and empty clips. The thing to remember with piercing rounds is that it's only a little bit less damage than executioner's shot (your big ST hitter) and does it at 80' range to potentially multiple people, in addition to adding a tasty -res if you use stock ammo. Empty clips is kind of junky (I much prefer bullet rain) but it's not a bad cone attack, just sort of there.

Can't you use powers on phased enemies if you yourself are also phased? Or is that PVP only? Alternately am I just drunkenly misremembering a patch note from a while back?
