  1. Yes... Yes... Stacking cloak of fear with the demoralizing effect... Opressive gloom... Shadow meld could get a rest once in a while. Time to hit mids and see how I can make this happen with ol Choppa (claw/DA). As soon as I force myself to leave my praetorians alone.
  2. Soul mastery! Its all win. Gloom at 41 then dark obliteration at 44. The new fiery embrace will add fire dmg to them so they burn and get to hit debuffed. You can even pick up soul tentacles for more aoe.
  3. My SS/WP/soul only slows down when hasten and rage crash at the same time. Switching soul to energy would put an end to that. Having to stop the SMASH to use powers like power sink and consume is not the same as being able to just totally ignore your end bar and focus on crushing the mob in front of you.

Oh, and all that isn't needed with claws but its still cool to have.
  4. I haven't done that yet on live. The plan for rogues is to get those defeat badges that are hard to get on redside. The plan for some of my heroes is to turn a few scrappers all the way and run the patron contact. Water spouts, shadow melds, and ball lightnings oh my!!
  5. I like it in follow up and BF when I'm not going for the 6 slot in a to hit toggle. At one time, I had it in invincible on my invul/dm tank until I picked up foc acc. It only fired while surrounded by mobs. Never while standing around. I'm still not sure if it checks per target like soul drain or if it just starts to work like its in a toggle once a mob is near.
  6. You all are missing the best part.. Yes, its an extra pick but the real gold is in the "why?" Ball lightning at "44" and not "47". Simply lovely.

i look at it as our version dominator's perma dom, widow's perma mind link, troller's perma indom will. Normal recharge values gives decent performance with those powers. high recharge make those powers sick. I would totaly agree if shadow meld was layered with some res, regen, or even def debuff res.

I think +Def wont be enough in the upcomming game changes. I already had a bad run in with some Devouring Earth in a tip mission with my claw/SR brute. Having to pull just made me feel like a weakling. I kept checking to see if all my toggles were on. And have you tried the maria arc? Bosses and Lts with a power that contain all 3 leadership toggles is just wrong.

Yeah. Water Spout's the one I can't wait to get. You want to talk about one power making you immortal, talk about Water Spout. Entire spawns staggering around half dead ftw. Hell, toss out one aoe afterwords and move on.
Oh man oh man. How could I have forgotten all about that power? I gotta come up with a scrapper combo just for that power. Never hurts to have more.

My guess is they will change the recharge time to 120s or 140s (just a guess)
I know this. I read all 40 something pages of that. But two things that still and always will remain true. 1) with the exception on the dmg aura, you can do all those things you mentioned with a stalker. I explained why that's a no issue in my first post. 2) powers are based around SOs not IO builds only the rich and grinders can afford to build.

    Shadow meld ?

I use shadow meld on my claws/dark stalker. As helpful as it is, it is far from over powering. I know. I know. Scrappers have more HP then stalkers. But so do brutes and tanks and they have versions of powers we have that help them out a lot more then they help us. I don't see shadow meld being any different. Besides, there is work involved in getting this power. Especially for the heroes that want this power.

That's not scrapper envy. That would be brute envy if that was actually the case. If they actually paid attention to the gripes and moans on the scrapper boards, a furry nerf would have been the last thing on the list.

When I took my claw/sr brute to the cim wall on GR beta, I wanted to cry. The speed they dropped was close to what it is on live. The big issue for me was seeing all that space on my furry bar that I couldn't fill. No matter how many slashes, spins, swipes, strikes, follow-ups, focuses I threw. No matter how many times they threw bombs, spears, or tried to cut me in half with their swords... It... Just... Wouldn't... Fill

    So

I have mixed feelings about this. Getting shaow meld is great. Getting a range st attack at 41 instead of taking a power you don't want first then getting it a 44 is great. Ball lightning at 44 is great.

Ball lightning being the only AoE option is not so great. Having the stalker's PPP as a whole instead of brute's is not great. The game is changing and the mobs are going to get harder but as of right now, snipe powers are not so great.

I'm on the fence about turning into a block of ice for a certain period of time and not being able to stab things in the face. Same reason I'm not happy about the snipes.

As for the stalker and brute subs for the powers they already get, conserve power is being switched with a power that grants 5% max end unenhanced. I tested this with a stalker at 41 and with one slot of 40++ SO, it raises to 6%. Think of it as a slotable atlas medallion. And caltrops got replaces with PP. Yup that's right Physical perfection in weapon's mastery for stalkers at 41.

I really don't know what to say about all this.

Just my two cents, of course.
How can you leave the Mastermind sisters and the White Queen out of this? Shame

Similiar to what I quoted, but still different: Mass Confusion, just because it's not a pet. It benefits from my incredible recharge I have to build for to get perma dom, and it benefits seriously from perma dom. As a controller, if I had any secondary with buffs I'd pick a primary with a pet, so I could solo better with the same build and make my buffs better just by spreading them around more.
Try a Mind/Storm/Psy troller with perma indom will.
  14. Reminds me of the good ol pre i16 days when PLers would pay perma lvl 46s good inf to door sit and bridge. I had one on both sides. Good times.

As far as rolls, only tickets roll your current level. You can pick the level you want rolled at the merit vender.

    Rage timer

Rage crash makes a sound followed by the red downward arrows aura around you that shows DMG debuff. When they vanish, the crash period is over. Another sign of the crash starting is the endurance dive similar to hasten crash.

This is a game themed on comics. The dead is only dead till someone has a story to write ie: X-Man, Worlock, Cypher, Psylock, Stryfe, Magik, Colosses, Jean Grey, Steave Rogers, Jamie Madrox, Mister Sinister, Hawkeye, The Vision.....(im not gonna even talk about X-Necrosha) So, this horse isnt dead. If Brutes got claws and stalkers got Broad Sword, scrappers can get SS.

And for more examples of SS scrappers in comics i say Warpath (X-Force), Strong Guy (X-Factor Yes hes a scrapper hes just big.) Monet St. Croix (X-factor), Ms.Marvel (New Advengers), Princess Powerful (Runaways), Gental (New X-men)

I've heard about this. Something about wait for the tank or follow the buffs or something like that. Then I hear something about staying together or pulling. It all could be a myth or just some story parents made up to scare their children into acting right. Who knows.

Yes. Yes. I too found that to be very fun indeed.

You know what else is fun? Hitting 8 clones of yourself with shockwave and spin. Also, after clawing all the way to 50 with claw/SR, do it all over again with a War Mace/SR. Fun times!

I say mako. The hero you fight to open the PPP is a push over. And you can pretty much walk right over to him and stab him in the face. Not to mention you are given one of the best temp powers in the game.

That mako is such a nice guy. Giving you tools that will make it easier for you to beat the snot of him for... well, you'll find out.

How good are they? Which one generally the best? What is each one good at?

It looks to me that brutes/VEATs get the "minion," stalkers/corruptors get the "LT," and dominators get the "boss." Is that right? Do the health points for the pets scale accordingly?
I have the night widow on my claw/da stalker and the blood widow on my night widow. The night widow pet given to stalkers rock and can hold her own. You gotta watch the blood widows back because if you turn around for one second, she will be dead. Kinda sad, really.

I exemp mine down to level 14 for the oro missions regularly and have a quite functional time with hack, slice and air superiority. When I'm just a bit higher and have parry also, it's plenty easy.

My only complaint with the vanguard broadsword is that it is really a short sword. I like the size of the legacy broadsword and the rikti sword. And I really wish the vanguard broadsword was that scale. The vanguard katana looks too thin and delicate. Great for katana, not so much for broadsword.
Vanguard sword isn't short. Thin looking, yes. Short, no. The gladiator swords and the fantasy blade are short. Get the vissionary badge and use the raulauu sword. That one is a monster. Its like a fusion of soul edge and the He-Man sword.

The Kismet +6% Acc is a proc, when it is activated you get +6% To-Hit for 2 minutes. That proc will stack at least twice (you can confirm this by zoning in-game with the proc in a toggle power. I did, that's how I know it's true). I don't know if it will stack more than that, but I do know for an absolute fact that it will at least double stack. Putting it in a power that is used as often as Divine Avalanche will ensure that you will pretty much have it permanently double stacked.

I can't believe that never occurred to me before. Looking at it logically, Divine Avalanche is actually the BEST place to put that IO, because it is the only place in this build that will consistently double stack it. And if it WILL stack more than twice......every time you hit with Divine Avalanche you're getting 6% to-hit on top of the defense from it, and you can use Divine Avalanche a LOT of times in 2 minutes (I kind of doubt it will stack more than 2 or 3 times though, the devs probably already saw that loophole and closed it)

With that revelation, my slotting for DA would be 5 Crushing Impact and the Kismet proc.

    Irony:

It took an atrocious build to point out something we've ALL been doing wrong all this time
I recall a thread that had someone talk about this saying that higher the lvl mob, the lower the %. They even had pics. It also showed why it isn't a good idea to place the regen procs in rttc for the same reason.

Also, if it indeed stack, it would also stack by cutting the toggle off then back on. Not only that, it seems that it would require you actually hit for it turn on in the first place. That alone will make me keep in CJ or the first def toggle I get so it will be there for exemping.
  24. I wouldn't say "Out of favor". Its more like "Been there. Done that". /SD and /Ela are the new and shiny. The new IO sets have given /DA a new life (like being able to turn dark regen into a live mob version of cyrgine(sp?) circle. Its also easier to get more def.)

That's how I see it anyway. Maybe one day they will make some IOs that cause spike in the creations of wolverine/daken/X-23 copy cats (claw/regen).
  25. Broad sword give scrappers the ability to do what all the other sets can't. The ability to go across a mob's head with pure raw power! For those that have issue with others getting your kills, get in there and crush!! That is all.
