Use multi respecs maybe? Think about if the use of respecs are worth more or less then the IOs you would loose.

I say go with spines/dark or spines/fire. I see total carnage with you jumping in the middle of a mob with all them aoe attacks buffed with fulcrum shift and then your brother adding ice storm and blizzard to the party. All them orange numbers... It sounds so wonderful.

I have the GW chance for psi proc in my plant/rad troller's choking cloud. Since it isn't a dmg aura, I can tell when it takes affect. I notice it takes affect often. As far as an exact number of times, I'm not sure. But my question is why wouldn't the dmg aura be as often as the mezz aura? I'm thinking the acc check could be reason but I'm not certain.

Unless I was seeing things, I saw a kat scrapper send out nrg torrent with his sword, thus no redraw. It doesn't work that way on broad sword . As far as dark blast, I'm sure redraw will be an issue. Although, pointing the sword and a dark blast shooting out of it would be great animation, I don't see that happening. I wonder how many Link knockoffs would that start if that could be done. (Zelda anyone?)

Wow. I didn't think anything was worst then the troller's aoe hold. Sounds like kimset, foc acc, and every acc bonus in game would be needed on top of 3 slotting. Of course I my be exaggerating a little but 50% is bad.

That is true. But for those times the click mezz res powers activate and then things go south and you end up making a trip from the hospital, that mez is most likely not back up yet and that's annoying to wait on. No waiting with toggles.

At least it can become perma in normal sitations unlike the troller's version of indom will in the psionic mastery set. I look at that power as a tease but I'd never skip it if I take that pool.

How do you do that? I was just subtracting 3% from the number. Knowing how to fix that would help out.

Have you ever ran positron task force on a non wp or sd scrapper? If not, try it. What you experiance there is whats gonna happen to you the rest of the game until you respec that power back in.

Well, them not hitting you is what I ment hence the reason for the slow attack rate. But if the acc is really that bad then its understandable. I didn't have room to take either of the mezz toggles on my stalker so I never field tested CoF to make a judgement. I tried to roll a craw/da scrapper. Twice. The 2nd try, I got to the mid 20s and then i11 came out and I didn't have any open slots on my server so something had to go to make room. That was one of the somethings. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

I actually made that suggestion about weapon auras in the weapons thread earlier this week. Good to know someone else likes the idea.

One of the sets I don't have on any of my scrappers is DA. My stalker is claw/DA but the play on it is way different. Anyway, I've been reading some of the threads about DA and how to slot some of the powers. I haven't gone to the guides so I don't know if this has come up. I was wondering how come nobody mentions dark watcher despair chance for -recharge as a choice for any on the -acc auras ie CoF and/or the dmg aura (I can't think of the name). I wonder about this because I use it in rttc in my WP scrappers and Tank. It works really well. Watching a mob just stand there unheld and doing nothing while I get my health back is beautiful. Now that I think about it, I can't recall any mention of it for WP (again, haven't been to the guides). I figured DA would benefit from it as well since the main thing with the set is to not get hit. Also, it's not a unique so it can be slotted multiple number of times. Just an observation.

My fire/fire is a beast. The best part about fire/fire is you can built it many ways, take or skip various powers and it will still be a beast. The only question is what kind of a beast do you want to make?

I slot mine with two makos and four eradications taking all the ones with acc/recharge in it. Other powers I have slotted have reached the limit of the recharge bonus obliteration offers and the to hit sets don't have acc. For none sets, two acc and three recharge. You could easily go for one acc but I really really hate missing with that power.

He used poor examples to make case. Although I was interested in how he has slotted his powers. I think he just needs to understand the concept of def. I'm surprised someone didn't say "well duh!" But I didn't read it all so someone might have.

Pure def sets can be explained in one word. That word is an actual name of a power in the /SR set, that word is part of the name of a popular deffense IO set, and that word is the base name for an inspiration. That word is "Luck". The whole concept of def is the % "chance". There is a "chance" you can be in the last battle on lrsf and not get touched and there is a "chance" you can get one shotted buy a NPC hero in a bank mission. Granted, those two examples are on the extreme of both ends. All I'm saying is one person can easily have issues using the same set another person considers to be easy mode. Some people say widows are too powerful. My widow has soft cap "all" def with mind link up. I still get dropped at times leaving me thinking wth? Def sets are a roll of the dice, a draw of the card, a pull of the slot machine. In other words, all about luck. Some have bad luck and some have good luck.

The good thing about having all those recovery options is that you can throw end management out the window and focuse totaly on power. I ran issue 10 like that on my dark/regen scrapper (I respec every issue for kicks). I believed I was refered to as the energizer bunny. And slotted right, soul drain then dark consumption right after totals out to semi decent aoe style dmg. You are gonna have a ball with that build. But you should look into slotting soul drain better. Thats just not right treating it like some power you took because you had the space.

As far as your respec, focus on +HP before +regen in IO set bonuses, as it has a greater effect on your regen, as well as helps improve alpha survivability. After that, defense is the best for WP to focus on, allowing time for your regen to do it's job. WP generally gains more from typed def, which is usually easier/less expensive to come by than positional def, and can stack with Heightened Senses.

This. Also, make sure you take indom will at lvl 10. Being new to the game, you may have missed the positron TF and may want to do it later to get the accolade to raise your hit points. As a scrapper, you will get held and stun a lot with out it. WP is one of the few sets that get it's mez protection before lvl 14. When you do the positron task force, all powers taken after lvl 14 won't be usable (I know 15 is the level max but you don't take a power at that level).
