You need one scrapper with caltrops to run around and spread them on the towers to keep the repairers off that would help
I guess with ghost widow you need a bunch of then running tactics and spam wand and nemesis staff and any other ranged attack
[/ QUOTE ]
Caltrops are good. So would spine scrappers. And if everybody used vet powers on her the whole time, that wouldn't be very scrapper like.
If I had to say what I think we need, I'd say: 2 spines, 2 fire melle, 2 invul with unstop and comfront that weren't spines or fire, and the rest just hard hitters. Some with laser beem eyes with the -res proc wouldn't hurt. Aide other would be nice too. I'm looking at the final fight with LR. I figure the rest could be done with just knowing what we are doing. -

Inspirations are fine in my book, nukes, shivans and the like are the only things that really trivialize a fight and would honestly detract from something like this. If we nuke grandville into a glowing melted smear I don't think we've really done an all scrapper STF.
[/ QUOTE ]
While I generally agree with this sentiment, Ghost Widow just rips up the ideology. Simply put, she has too many I win buttons in this STF. Could it be done, yes, I believe it can be. The issue is how much of a PITA will it be. I REALLY like all scrapper runs, but it still needs to be fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
How about this. We get them but only use them if GW shows to be a lost cause. Dissmiss them after she is down, wait for any extra buff effects to fade, then carry on like normal. -

I was thinking the same thing. The problem is that for it to be done, certain types of scrappers would have to be needed. I don't want this to be about powersets. Just want to grab 8 scrappers and run. Although, no temp powers no inspirations would be great indeed.

Agreed. This is gonna be fun. The hard part is figuring out a good time to run it. -

I was on an all rad itf a few weekends ago.
I am on virtue as well. That sounds like a plan. Who else wants to be nuts and try it?
[/ QUOTE ]
I did an all-rad ITF a week or two ago as well. 7 Rads that time. Perhaps it was the same ITF?
Anyway, I'm on Virtue and I've got a dark/regen scrapper I can add to the mix for STF.

The team I was on had a tank. Even though I objected to needing one. He DCed before the last mission and didn't come back before the end. So the last mission was played as it should have been. The leader was Rad Rouge and my alt was a plant/rad troller, Botany Boy R.
[ QUOTE ]
I think Rieze should try to prove that sig line...
No nukes, no Shivans, just scrappers.

The all tank vid I saw used a lot of shivans and warbug nukes. I'm thinking an all scrapper STF would look simular except with more dps and deaths. Lol

I have seen several you tube vids and know about several different themed STF runs. I've seen vids of an all tank run and all defender run. And I know that an all earth troller run was done on my server and I've heard talks of an all blaster run. I've haven't heard anything about an all scrapper run. Has anyone ever been on one or know of one being completed?
-
Why do I have the feeling he would have gotten more post with builds up if he didnt try to bribe people with a reward?
-
Old MOG "well looks like I'm about die so might as well take a few more with me...." New MOG "Here it comes... Ha! *checks costume* not a stain on me. Back to work"
-
Temp protection has a res to slow/-rech on it now. It is also good to slot the KB protection IO there so you can use a slot that would have added to a fire shield or def power for something of use. And as a /fire scrapper, I would already have CJ around lvl 8 so it wouldn't be a take one or the other issue. As for taking it over the last power in the fitness pool (figuring you already have 3), the res to -rech seems more important to me then jumping a little higher or running a little faster.

I consulted with Ray Snyder, the dev who plays Blue Steel, and he informed me that Blue Steel is a Martial Arts, Shield Defense Scrapper...
[/ QUOTE ]
Cool! I thought I had the only one, hehe. SD/SS Tanker seems to be a much more popular choice for a weapon-less, "natural" character.
[/ QUOTE ]
When I play redside and I beat a hero, the contact tells me they where rescued by Blue Steel. I first thought SD/SS too. But MA/SD is a way to go, too. -

... since the complaint was that power customization wasn't going to benefit scrappers much I fail to see how my point doesn't stand.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. That was not my complaint. The question was if anyone thought this would be the issue scrappers get new epics or is it wishful thinking and I should just look forward to the "one" scrapper that "I" have that will benefit "the most" from this feature? The complaint was specificly about the lack of scrapper epics. A subject that has been around long enough to get attenion. Although there are some powersets I would like to see on scrappers, that wasn't the aim of this post. So would you please put out the "scrapper don't need..." flames and just post an idea you have on what you plan to do. Or give an opinion or if a new epic power pool will be given to scrappers or not (the real question). Now, if you will excuse me. I wish to continue laughing at visuals in my head of yellow ice tanks and people in pvp getting beat by pink balls of doom. -
What ever they do, it should not be based around the scrapper's health. Remember the old defiance? Not only that. All these scrappers with soft cap def and hp cap, and scrappers with uber healing and regen powers will hardly benefit from that. I still say have it relate to the mobs health. Gives that "finish him" feel to it. Oh wait... Scrappers are heroes. Nevermind. How about keep the theme the way it is and just raise the %? Like 10% (min), 15%(lt+), and 18 or 20 for the attacks that give more?
-
*fights... to avoid.... another... Foc acc... debate...* *breaths*
Without my personal opinion, you need either assult or manuvers to get tactics. Those powers are useful but scrappers get less out of them then say a defender would. Tactics, however dosent have a to hit debuff res. So even though you will be able to see everything and can't be blinded, your tohit can still drop and you will still be slicing at air as if you didn't have it on. Foc acc takes a lot of endurance, about 3 toggles worth, your team won't get the to hit buff like they would with tactics. You only need to hit 41 to get it. It has res to tohit debuffs. So you can pretty much stand in the middle of that Storm shammon's hurricaine and slice up anything you want as long as you can deal with the endurance (conserve power) -
Its hard trying to work in stamina and travel in before 20. You want your mezz res and other res shields and you want more then two attacks. Level 10, 16, and 18 are some must have prime and 2ndary powers most of the time. /regen and wp are a breath of fresh air in that factor. Regen allows you go with out serious end issues almost immediately. And wp let's you get what you need early on and still pick it up at 20.

Slap a Panacea chance for +hp/+end into Dark Regeneration
[/ QUOTE ]
Wasn't this reported to to grant endurance to the mobs around you?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not another one...
That reminds me. Did they ever fix performance shifter +end when used in power sync? -
We have to choose one? That's like picking shadow maul over smite (not really). To me BoF is the shadow maul of fire. Line them up and turn it loose. Now if I had to pick one or the other then yes, sword over BoF. True, FSC will be enough in cases you have mobs all around you. But for those times mobs are in front of you, BoF let's you reach out and burn someone. Until we get fire mastery and if it has fire ball. Then its gone!

Really? I took Stamina at 20 on my MA/WP because MA sucks end like crazy...what would you recommend?
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm quick recovery is stronger then stamina. What level did you take that? -
[ QUOTE ]
Rieze, that is actually incorrect. Stalkers have a 10% chance to crit when playing solo. 3% is then added for every team member within 30 (?) yards.
This means that a stalker can cap out at 31% chance to crit if every member of the team is within 30 yards of you.
Honestly, after playing both a bit, I think the balance is fine. My stalker feels so much squishier than my scrapper. They also miss out on some very nice powers by having assassin's strike, build up, and hide no matter what power combination you choose. Personally, I enjoy follow up way more than build up, but that is just me.
But, as they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.
[/ QUOTE ]
10% solo? I never noticed that. I need to play my stalkers more. -
The fear is part of their AS. I'm not including that. I'm talking about the crit chance out of hide. As a whole, I think theirs is better. As far as the crit chance go, I feel its just different. Sure, it raises when team members are in range. A PB can do more dmg then a blaster when it is on a team full of defenders or tanks. Can take more hits then a tank when on a team full of blasters and scrappers. Are they better then tanks and blasters now because of the situation they can be in? I would rather a steady crit over a situational one. At the same time, I wouldn't mind a little change in it as I said in an earlier post.

I'm not annoyed that stalkers got the scrapper inherent. That alone I'd be okay with.
I'm annoyed that stalkers got a better version of the scrapper inherent.

I don't see it as better. They have to be on a team for it to work. Just like HEATs. -
[ QUOTE ]
Breath of Fire (not Fire Breath) does imperceptibly more damage than Fire Sword, with double the animation time (1.33s vs. 1.67s). As long as you get 2 enemies in the cone, it's pretty much the same dps, but Breath of Fire comes with a 1.2x inherent accuracy bonus, only costs 50% more endurance than Fire Sword, and has an impressive range for a melee cone, with a 15 feet long, 30 degree arc.
The real question is whether you are a melee-cone fiend or not. It can hit up to 10 targets, and if you can bunch up the enemies effectively it is very easy to get more than two of them in the cone. At 3 enemies hit, it is noticeably more efficient than any ST attack in your arsenal, and only goes up from there. FSC is one hell of an AoE, but having another one to fire with it can be the difference between severely wounding the whole spawn and twoshotting most everything in it. If you don't have a knack for lining up the perfect cone in a split second, and/or you don't like the concept, then stick with your ST chain.
Also, while it'd be mostly irrelevant for your 'retire at 50' playstyle, I'm very tempted to throw some Centrioles in it once my fire/regen hits 47 and turn it into a seriously large cone.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like this power too. Five slot it with positron blast and turn it loose. BU, FE, FSC, then BoF and mobs are dropping. Altough I'd much rather an arc cone, I still like this power. It comes donwn to your playstyle. If you don't like to slow down at all, skip it. -
Right... At least you knew what I was trying to say. Lol
