Ok Rieze sorry I left you out. I have seen your responses and know you have game, I just can't remember everyone

Lol!! You can lift your head. I wasn't talking about me. In either case. My web design knowledge is small, rusty, and outdated. I don't have any vids neither. Lol. I just know that there are several people who done crazy things with their builds, have it recorded, and are not that well known. In some cases written off. As not knowing what they are talking about. Just wasn't talking about me
  2. This sounds like it would better suited on a web site so builds could compared side by side. Load it with spread sheet pop ups and links to printable versions and links pull it up on mids and/or sucker punch. Links to vids that show the builds in action too. That way, people with lesser known names can show they know what they are doing.

I ran mine on test. The only problem I have with it is the flames don't match my new design Other then that, BU + FE + FSC + Fireball + FSC = "I see dead people!"

One a side note, FSC using the greater sword is a thing of beauty.
  4. I have considered caltrops fully slotted with procs. The dmg procs, the KB, and the -rech slow. I may still make a build with this.

Another thing I always wanted to try is DB/set with a dmg aura. I will give this a go in i16 with DB/ela.

Its always cool to make any AT that is known for one thing be able to do unexpected things well.
  5. I say you can't go wrong with any non weapon set and any set with an end management tool.

Oh gosh no. We get enough of that every other month with /WP and /Regen. Don't need any more /set is better then /set threads.

    Dual Blades help

I agree with both of them. For the same reasons they stated as well as since this is your first time using the set, getting the early combos will be good practice of using the combo system and allow you to get your timing down for when you run into recharge situations and how to still be able to get the combos off.

I still have a DB alt with all the combos. When I got attack vitals and sweep, I forgot all about weaken and empower and ended up forcing myself to use them just because. Anyway, get them all and see what you like then figure out what combo you can do without and make your 2nd build based on that.

Nin has a self-heal, only 3 other powers out of the set (besides the self-heal) that would be considered "must take" making a much looser build than SR, and only has resistance to Psi (click mez protect) and toxic (self-heal). Caltrops, Blinding Powder and Smoke Flash are all utility powers; take them if they fit your playstyle/ concept.

Both have the exact same tier 9. Both have a click mez protect power. Although Nin has a KB hole in its protection but does have the ability to slot the Steadfast +def in its self heal.
I keep forgetting about the no knockback protection. A minor setback. The def values are lower as well. I was thinking in the end game with soft cap def and all IO sets slotted. Most likely helped along with two sets of botz thus taking care of the KB hole.

What I like about utility sets like /nin is the fact that you get to open your build to more choices and still not gimp the build. Look at how tight /SR, and /WP are vs /FA, /DA, and /regen. I'd say /invul and /SD are a toss up depending who you ask. You could also throw DM in as a loose one depending on your secondary.

Nin gets its def with two toggles. Has a click mez res that has psi res built in (non enhancable). Has DDR. No scaling res but has a reconstruction clone (Enhancable toxic res). Has an elude clone, caltrops, blinding powder, and a pbaoe placate power. The three utility powers are normaly skiped. The elude clone ,of course, is skipped by soft cappers. So that's 4 skipable powers without gimping.

Its hard to skip stuff with SR except for elude. SR has better DDR, though. I think the self heal and the bag of tricks in nin makes up for that.

Ouch. What's worst is I can't just sit there and take that. Ill end up trying a +4/x8 with a level 2 with such a tought in my head. Then of course I'd end saying forget this and move it back to +2/x2. We say no temps and no inspirations. How about no enhancements no powers? Lol
  11. With widows, mask presence was meant to be used with smoke bomb. (It says it in the power description. Even though everyone skips that power and gets a stealth IO to stack with mask presence). I'm sure that would be the same case with a /nin scrapper. A stealth power
    - smoke bomb combo.
  12. Look at that. It got intresting and no whiners needed.

Doesn't nin already have blinding powder? It even has confussion effects.
  13. This really isn't going to be a interesting thread due to the lack of disagreement it will have. Some one should invite some die hard stalker players to come put in their two inf on this with all their whining, b****ing, and moaning about how scrappers get everything and stalkers get shafted.

Won't be getting any objections from me. The pure enjoyment and mass skipables and easy/cheap def soft capping that is /nin in the hands of a scrapper... I wouldn't touch another scrapper def set. Everything from that moment on would be */nin. I am so serious.

So taking two powers just to get a slowwwwwwwwww, interruptible self heal would be a waste in most situations that this game will present you with. You really have to go out of your way to find extremely difficult content PLUS start introducing artificial restrictions like “no inspirations” before you “need” to pick up a self heal.
This is how I see it as well. "None" of my alts will ever touch the med pool for this very reason.

I'd like to run Tough, but I really couldn't spare the slots to make it end friendly enough to run, so it became a mule for the Steadfast.

My accuracy is good enough for what I generally do, I rarely fight higher than +2 or +3. I might put the Kismet in if I can find a spot for it without hurting my defense.

Gaussian's is in Build Up because I really don't use it all that often, I don't even bother on minions unless I'm hitting it before Whirling Sword. I pretty much just use it for extra oomph against bosses.

Just plain didn't have room for Tactics, I put the Gaussian's in Build up both for the aforementioned reason and to save a power pick.

The LotG is there so I can get the max HP bonus out of the set. The other option was Def/Rech, which enhances by the same amount (and is probably what will go in there until I can afford the LotG. I figured since I was going for the set bonus anyway, might as well get some recharge too.

Desmodos: I skipped Slice in order to take Maneuvers, since I didn't have enough extra slots for another attack it made sense. Maneuvers takes less slotting to be useful.

I made a last minute decision while actually doing the respec and moved some powers around to have Stamina at 20. I can exemp, but it will be painful any lower than 20-25. It still won't be that great under 40, but it's doable. I don't exemp this toon very often anyway.

This build is intended for the seriously broke. I don't have billions to throw around like some people (I just recently broke 100 mil at once for the first toime ever), so I made a build that I can piece together a little bit at a time rather than spending a butt-ton of money all at once. I wanted to work on the defense while still having a solid toon to play while I'm doing so. I would have been annoyed if he had to sit idle because the holes in his build made him unplayable.
Comming from someone that is broke, I feel your pain. Two things though. 1) I found the 2nd build for the focus on endgame slotting to be helpfull while your leveling build stays whole. 2) when i16 go live, you will be able to do positorn TF and still have stamina. Playing at lvl 15 but having the powers 5 levels higher then your combat level will be lovely. Just something to consider.

Ahh yes. The horrid long recharge. Yup. even the -res is pretty pointless. At least the sets it takes have good bonuses.
  17. Has anyone factored in the -res proc and the two dmg procs you can put in melt armor?

Assuming the Miracle proc is enhanceable just like the +regen procs, 27.5% +recov is enhanceable and 2.5% is not, which means that you'd get roughly 57.25% +recov. If it isn't, you'd only get 42.385% +recov.

The Perf Shifter proc is, depending on who you ask, either a static increase of .2 end/sec (re: just under 12% +recov without any +end) or a scaling increase equivalent to just under 12% +recov (the second is the one I adhere to because, having reliably seen procs of greater than 10 end while not standing around, I've tested endurance sustainability under the assumption of scaling increase and found it to be accurate).

The total would then be anywhere from 54.38% +recov (unenhancable Miracle proc and non-scaling Perf Shifter) to 69.25% +recov (enhanceable Miracle proc and scaling Perf Shifter).
That's not bad. I most likley won't spend more the 3 slots on that power if I take it on something but that's kind of impressive considering what the base recovery is.

To compare, 3 slotted Stamina is +50% recovery.
What about with mircle +recovery, miricle health, +end, and 3 end mods? I doubt any of my alts would have the slots for this but was just wondering.

(+2s are hard at that level and no slots) On my DB/elec, I got on a sewer team then did radios in KR and did the atlas park bank mission. After both experiences, I said, "ok, I can't play this alt anymore".

When i16 go live, ill flip it and run the sewers with the elec/regen. Maybe ill try to solo the sewers lol.

Would get more mileage out of it on a Willpower than a Regen.

Since Willpower gets no self heal, passive regeneration is more valuable for them, combined with resistance and defense also available in the set it would make for an extremely tough scrapper, and an even tougher tank.
You said health twice. Lol You may have something there, though. Picture all 5 of those 3 slotted with numinas along with whatever power the uniques are in slotted for max benefit. (I'm guessing RTTC) I wonder if miricle slotted in PP would raise the recovery bonus the way the regen uniques are raised depending on the power they are slotted in and how the power is slotted. Times like this, I wish I had an updated mids.
  22. It also cuts down the mezz time when romi rezzes in ITF. Its also a good set mule and can be helpful stacking S/L res with tough. The truth is that as it is now, that power is skipable or taken at 49. People use it for the res/def IO mule but that can also be done with MOG or reconstruction if you have the extra slot.

I mean, scrappers don't get a rage meter... and rage meters are a good thing to have.
I play my brutes and my scrappers with the same mindset. Even with that, they play and need to be slotted differently even with the same powersets. Regardless of how ever many powers the ported, it will come down to how you want to play what content.

    Do want.
This reminds me of when I did ITF for the first time and I heard the leader say, "destroy the crystals last!" Im thinking to myself, "what are you, nuts?"
  25. Since energize doesn't recharge as fast and healing flames and isn't supported by any other forms of heals like reconstruction is, would 6 slotting DW be useful or the normal 5 slotting skipping the heal/end?
