  1. I played my elm/regen scrapper just last night. TS is indeed splash dmg. The 2ndary effects, KD and stun, effects everyone it hits but the full dmg only effects the target.

Nothing wrong with taking PP but conserve power will be next to pointless with the recharge that build is packing. Replace the end mods in power sync with recharges and its back in less then 30 seconds . Energize's end reduction effects will be up most of the time as well. Endurance, end drain, and -rec is the last thing /ela has to worry about. If you take body mastery to get PP, slot it for regen.

Thanks. I must of missed that one.
  4. That reminds me. I remember hearing about a bug in chain induction that effected the chain shock chance when a proc was placed in that power. Did they ever fix that? If not, I need to make some changes.

Energy Torrent says that you must be lvl 47 and have two other powers from the pool before you can select it. This works as long as you don't include Physical Perfection. If you combine either Conserve Power, Laser Beam Eyes or Focused Accuracy with Physical Perfection, you are still not able to select Energy Torrent at lvl 47. You can only select it if you have 3 powers from the pool and not 2 as stated.

Is there something I'm doing wrong here or is this an error?

    Thanks.
This should answer all of your questions on that issue. http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index....ic,2635.0.html
  7. I've only had a chance to test it once with my DM/SR. Soft cap range with one botz KB protection and one obliteration quad away from aoe and melle soft cap. I did 6 x3 with bosses on the Tyrant mission. It was rather easy so ill be bumping it to 8 x3 with bosses until I finish the build. Then it will be 8 x4 Borea missions. Hmm... Timed missions with every mob pretty much being an RWZ challenge.
  8. When I found out about elm and ela comming to scrappers, I knew I was going to make an elm/something and ignore ela all together. Then energize was announced and I changed my mind about /ela. I knew I didnt want an elm/ela scrapper so I was gonna have to roll two. Also, I wanted to roll something that wasnt going be the FoTM. I think my two choices are as random as I could think of. Elm/regen and DB/ela. I downloaded the updated mids and made builds for them. As far as no purple sets and no PVP IO builds go, I think I did ok. I would like other opinions on this. Here they go... Let me have it.

Agreed. Now, if you had an opener chain of epic attacks you fired before using your blades, that would be fine. But to have to redraw constantly just to add one power to a chain that can run seamless on its own would drive me nuts. (Just had a flashback of my widow juggling gloom and mental blast... *screams*)
  10. I've taken a BS/regen, BS/WP, and a DM/SR to the wall. I need to try my DM/Regen, and DM/WP. With the three that I have taken, I've done fairly well with all three. Non of them were fully IOed out. I'm looking forward to going up there with one that is. As far as what's the best combo, I really can't give one. If I say set/set is best because of A, B, and C, someone else will say, no set/set is better because of X,Y, and Z. We would both be right.

/SR, /SD, and /invul have res to def debuffs, /SR gives you faster recharge, /SD gives you more dmg, /invul will raise your to hit rate and offers higher res to S/L. It all comes down to how you want to play.
  11. I say dual blade/ will power. DB gives you good ST and AoE dmg. The AoEs of DB will make up for the weak aggro aura of WP. And its flashy!

WP stacked with all that def would put you at def cap on top of high hit points, regen, and res. Its also endurance friendly.

Honestly, with that team set up, everything is gonna melt anyway even if you just used brawl and the origin temp power and you could pretty much stand there with all toggles off with any set you pick and not get hit.

I was doing one of Gaussians missions in the RWZ and was supposed to join Lady Grey in springing a trap on some rogue Vangaurders. I found and rescued her no problem, then in the ensueing ambush I was blowing through a full room of baddies with no problems then got the loading screen. Lady Grey didn't last a minute, she must not be as uber as I. =(
Lol. That mission with any team size over two or three without a buffer = auto fail.

I also like the new QoL addition to the status bar. (It shows your current fighting level in the circle.) The only issue now is when you level and in SG or TF mode, its too much going on in there and hard to read when just glancing at it.
  13. Claws/WP, BS/WP, DM/WP or Kat/WP are good out the box and still very survivable in end game content with a purely SO build. Personally, playing those combos is easy mode.

Looking for something that requires a little (lot) more strategy? Try those sets with /regen. Also good out the box and still good in the end game with just SOs. That is if you know what you are doing.
  14. I look at it this way. With the TT and burn combo, you have to line yourself up right to grab enough of the mob with TT. Then you can get in the middle and burn them.

With fireball, you target the one in the middle of the mob, left it fly, and everyone gets burned.

    Not all of them.
  16. I am a true fan of GFS. I like the look, the dmg, and it uses my 2nd fav animation with total focus being my fav and 1kC being 3rd. Even with that being said, if I had to pick that over true grit, GFS would get the axe in a heartbeat. Skipping a +HP power screams all kinds of wrong to me. Personally, I'd waist away hours in front of mids trying to figure out a way to get both and still get soft cap def. I'm almost sure it can be done.

Went home for my break and so it is... Nagashi (DB/ela scrapper on virtue) and Elexica (elm/regen scrapper on protector) are in outbreak waiting to be sent out to learn the mystic art of "Flipping Out and Killing". I have a lot of stuff to do that will keep me busy before I even get to that. I have black flames to make, /regen auras to make not look ugly or non existant, mixed power sets to color match, respecs to do... Oh my. I'm excited! 6:15pm central need to hurry up and get here!

Do not play with me. I go on lunch break in 10 mins. I will go home and start my download. Well, I would go home anyway, but that's not the point!

Well, that can be said about anything when are setting up an IO build. You almost always have to give up one thing to get another. That's just how it is. Good thing that KB res can be gotten in several ways thus cutting down the amout you have to give up most of the time.
  20. Before the acerobatics nerf, I wouldn't touch a -KB res IO. After the nerf, acerobatics gave under 10 points and get knocked back in katies, by fake nems, diobolique, longbow ballistas, nasty KBing AE foes... The list goes on and on. All sets with KB protection give 10 points and don't get KBed by any of those things. That has spoiled me. So... I get 3 -KB res IOs. Seems that people are looking at high KB being as uncommon as fear and confuse is on blue side. That may or may not be the case but if you can fix it, why not fix it so it becomes a non factor instead of a sometime factor?

I only have 2 level 50s, my Katana/SR scrapper and SS/SD tank, both of whom are fun to play but currently, all of my love is being poured into my new Spines/DA scrapper, who is only level 26 at the moment but already feels like a small condensed ball of pure, unadulterated energy :P
Hello, my name is Riez. I too am an altaholic...

Although its not as bad as some cases I've seen. I don't have a love for "one". "I love alts alts alts alts. All my alts a do adore..." I don't have a main. I have a first, a global name sake, a forum name sake, a badge collector, and/or what ever I feel like playing or rolling at the time. Have plans on IOing all of them. Getting the major badges on all of them. If I don't love it, I delete it. Virtue is about to run out of space due to the no love lost situation.
