Not once during that 4 hours did I hear a player recommend quitting.

That achievement, to me, is more remarkable than any speed run. It has been a very long time since I saw a team stick out a TF/SF like that.
This is how the game should be! I hope you added them to your global list. Tears came to my eyes when I read this. I have so many people quit during TFs, I want/feel like telling them to give back their titles. You were very fortunate. It's satisfying when you play this game the way it's suppose to be.

I am a little surprised we don't have shark heads, monkey/gorilla pieces, snakes (including the torsos much like the snakes on the Rogue Isles) and bears. These are all fairly popular and would have been cool to see. Ah well. I am not a big 'furry' fan so I will likely pass on this pack. I really hope we can get back to more superhero stuff in the future packs (I know this pack fits but it is more niche than main stream).
They said it was coming...they may not have all 60 final selections agreed up...maybe? This will bring more fun to the game no doubt. On the other boards people were bashing the video but I liked it. Especially, when enemies come running to a beat down :-) I replayed that twice yesterday. Personally, I"m looking forward to seeing group beast runs on the group raids and TFs.

I'm doing this while I'm updating my clients. I have an hour to go for both the EU and NA one.
  3. Welcome to the USA :-) I'm in Columbia, MD
  4. Zaprobo,

Thanks for the post and the personal keybinds. I downloaded them this morning and will test them this late this morning or this afternoon. Also, I really appreciate you work. The alpha boosts and slotting sections I've reviewed regularly for the last week in preparation for this week. My only regret is that I can't see you in action. I moved to Union and I sort of wished I had stayed on Defiant now. Thanks again
  5. I'm not buying this one but I know this pack will sell fast! I'll probably start seeing Thundercat clones the weekend it comes out!
  6. This isn't for the WST, right. That starts tomorrow, right?

Edit: Ice is at the end of the month for the WST. Sorry.
  7. Does the WST mean patching every week?

I logged on today and had to download 120MB +/- for NA so I could get my hero notice since I couldn't finish the mish on Tuesday. I updated the EU client too with 120MB but then I had to reinstall another 340MB(it had to fix something). I aborted the EU download. I wasted 2 hours(1/2 hour download, 1/2 to apply for each client) because I could only get 25kbps.

This game in an instant has gone from fun to real frustration.
  8. If your super smart, you'll place you bids in the ww/bm now so you can get whatever users post. I need to get my notice for the week.

The crafting time is negligible, and a few million inf here and there is pretty much irrelevant, especially if you're buying, say, a level 35 set of Thunderstrike, that you never plan on replacing. You won't need that inf for anything else. That's inf invested in your final build.

If you want to rush to 50 and never plan on exemplaring, carry on. You can get by on SOs. My point is not everybody plays that way, the IO system was designed to accommodate people who don't play that way, but the game has changed to encourage people to play that way, which makes it more difficult for those who don't to get their shinies.

Pretty much all your arguments come down to "you don't need those mid-level recipes." This is true. I don't need those mid-level recipes any more than you need your level 50 recipes. The point is I want them, others want them, they're not available because the system makes it excessively difficult for people to generate them, so the system should be given a slight tweak to make it easier for people to generate them.
If we do the silver mantis in the next few weeks, I'm sure there will be plenty then. My other comments is indirect. Crafting in CoH has a lot of restrictions. What you can sell(16), what you can hold(personal 50/60 w/temp, sg vault(50?), sg rack(30), the going back and forth. It will steal so much of your time. Just get to 50. If this is your first build, it's not going to be right because you don't understand the game fully yet.

I'm sure they probably dedicate a server to the qtrly events and so they have to switch it. The spring event would bring a nice change. I'm tired of tfs. Bring it on!!

However, to open the ultra rare we'll need to acquire two Notices to craft the Favor of the Well, the fiirst from LGTF and the second from Sister Psyche or Silver Mantis. So we'll unlock the pinacle of our power (thus far) by completing a level 20-25 task force?

To me, that just seems poorly timed. Perhaps, the STF and LRSF should have fallen at that point.
I don't like it but here's what maybe the Devs(assumption) are thinking about. Right now everyone wants to and is ready to go Alpha but what about 1 year later when everyone has done it? How do you continue to build the community if everyone is Alpha Level 50+?

The "Loops" allows everyone to reach their goals now or LATER at whatever level. I can still play with lowbies and we can all still get something out of it.

The only question I have is that I thought level 50 stuff had to be run for the notices, shards, etcs. It's not really Alpha stuff if we run Silver Mantis at 20/30. The WST must be an arbitrary selection by the devs weekly.
  12. My point was that if you buy all the recipes during the play to 50, you retard your 50 evolution. The crafting time & ww/bm for the recipes will slow your progress. This is the choice I was talking about.

At the moment, I've done all I can to assure my departure (my account is not set to renew; there's not a lot else I can do about it.)
I've at different times in the game sub have felt like you do Eiko. If you paid with a credit card you can always dispute it. If your not happy, they'll credit you for your unused portion. I hope the devs have a bigger finale than what we've seen lately. I only do 1 month at time because I only pay for what they produce. Paying for 6 months or longer sends the wrong message to devs. Does your employer pay you 6 months in advance?

Team 2: ALPHA member + 7 other heroes [7 others dont need to be in ALPHA]

The only requirement needed is that ALPHA has the option "teammates can enter supergroup base" ENABLED.

But yes you do need the 3 teams because the first part of the raid needs all 3 teams to work in sync to take down the towers with a few seconds of eachother to open the Ruluraa fight.
I get what your saying. The group on friday is run out of a dedicated CoP SG with 3 leaders so we just have to be invited to play.

The salvage pricing can change rapidly based on time of day(Hamidon Goo is usually 2,000,000 though) but if your bank account can afford then by all means go for it. If you slot an IO you won't need SO but you'll need higher level IOs.

Next time you craft an IO look at the price tag just above the salvage requirements.

I didn't understand this: all thats needed to do one is a supergroup out of the entire raid to have a CoP TP'r(raid tp?) and then everybody can join it

I have asked lots of questions about this. I was told the new CoP requires 3 leaders for 3 groups(8x3=24) because of the timing required to access something in the SS.

Group 1 : Sg leader and members of supergroup
Group 2 : Sg leader and coaltion members
Group 3 : This is where the problems came. I couldn't add random members to my team.

Have you done the new CoP with 8?

Which is the problem. The lack of availability encourages hoarding, which only exacerbates the lack of availability.

Again, I want to play the game and earn them. I do not want to play the game with an artificially imposed limitation, and I'm willing to bet many others don't either. "The game" includes leveling. Why should we play a different mini-game just to generate mid-level stuff when the devs could allow us to generate this stuff while playing the game "as intended?"

Be happy with regular enhancements. They'll get you to 50 with no problems. This game is about choices. You'll need the inf for other things.
Their only distractions...some the lowel recipes produce nominal returns.

We never asked this but what do you want the recipes for? Do you want to sell them?

I forget to add this. There is a new demand for lower level recipes because of the third build. Many can now create a lower level player. I overlooked this new information.

In turn, this leaves the possibility of turning off current and potential players, using UNPROVABLE MISINFORMATION, which I, personally, find more annoying than anything the devs could ever add to the game.

The soloists have valid points. Recently, I played solo with my new earth dom on Union. Doing solo I gained this:

    1. More control - I could play when I wanted.
    2. Easier missions - The spawns are less. It will be easier to Alpha than with teams.

Who wouldn't want to do the Alpha TFs in this fashion? I'd like to see it now.
  20. The WST is end game content. The vanguard pack is to keep us paying while the team enjoys the rewards and some quality of life moments from building a very nice game before they go to their next jobs. This is why the changes in the last few months. I'd be surprised if we get any new content before Summer. The WST isn't ill-conceived from the Dev perspective.

You got shards on the Sara Moore TF? How many? I didn't realize that the SS has 50 level content but I'm looking at the wiki and it says Sara Moore and the Storm Palace qualify. Did you use only gravity geysers to get around? I did the tfs at Christmas using only the GGs. I'm sure these will be on the WST soon.
  22. Tsumiju, can you post your SG base?

I need to join a Supergroup base to participate in CoP. I have 7 characters on union now and one I will add to someone else's SG. If you run CoP regularly and have a cool crib I'll be happy to join. Will you be online Wednesday so I can join?

  24. I've got them all!!

Seriously, their expensive to build on the low levels. It will triple the cost of a build. They're too valuble to sell. Play the game and earn them!
