  2. Your right, A newbie will get thrashed but they should expect it. Every good PvP'er that is still around will say they got destroyed when they first got into it. The difference is, they stuck at it.

    It's so easy to walk away and say i'm no good at that but if you enjoy it you should take every defeat with a pinch of salt and use the experience to improve.

    Indeed the IO'd player would win but now with DR in effect i don't think they'd win by that much seeing as it would penalise the IO'd player for using inventions which the dev's gave us.

    Kilop, here's your answer.

    All it would take is for people to stop being mardy about defeat.

    It's been said before and i'll say it again, an experienced PvP'er will beat an inexperienced one no matter what the current PvP rules are or what IO's they have in thier build.

    [/ QUOTE ]They're not going to be banning individual arcs, they'll simply alter the mechanics. Hiding the arc yourself every time is simply a waste of time.

    Fair point but i can't really see how they could stop it. Even if they made it so the mobs had to contain minions a lieutenants the map and settings we use would still provide XP on a much grander and faster scale than is possible for doing "normal" PvE missions.

    What's really sad is that it's blindingly obvious how to do it. Just make a custom group with just Lieuts in it. For some reason the Devs in their infinite wisdom made it so that if there's no minions available it just populates with the next available tier without downgrading the total number of mobs in it.

    Actually, we use all bosses, not lieutenants. So, imo. as the dev's see it the risk vs reward is there.

    It's not our fault if a good team of 8 can take on a whole boss mob is it?



    Oh and Max. They might still see the arc from data mining but if it's always unpublished after usage then that's the only way to find it.

  7. This is just a theory, but.

    I'm sure in i14 they've stopped powers and set bonuses from stacking when you zone. For example, every time i zoned in i13 on a toon that has the Numina and Miracle uniques the effect from both IO's always used to stack, it no longer does.


    So, i don't think it's a bug, perhaps an intentional fix?

  12. If not seen any farms get deleted tbh. My friends and i are smart though and don't leave them published, simple way to stop them getting noticed and deleted.


    We don't want people noticing our 1-50 in 6 hours farm now would we.
  13. Charnell's build is pretty solid on a low budget.


    Couple of things i would change would be: No extra KB protection IO's as they're not worth the Inf now diminishing returns eats KB protection.

    Also, i'd enhance the travel powers a little more so your running as close to cap as possible.

    Last little thing is i prefer the performance shifter set in stamina and QR. The +10 (possibly 20) end really makes a difference.

  17. One big problem there Fahie is that you took DR off. That would've given you almost capped resistance to all and seeing as forts are mostly def based the fort had the disadvantage from the start.

    But yes, the elusivity change has affected PvP by a lot again. Defence is almost back to how it was in i12.

I'm not sure how many respecs off the bat that entitles me to (at least, without looking it up) but since the vet rewards were introduced, I've never done a respec trial, nor have I ever bought a respec recipe. Why? 'Cos I've never needed ones that weren't supplied for nowt.

    I'll say again, if you're burning that many respecs between vet rewards and freespecs, you really need to look at the way you're doing things rather than ask for the game to be changed.

    48 months here and on my main PvP toons i haven't got a single respec. While i do use mids it can't help me to foresee huge changes like the ones seen in i13.

    Take my fire blaster for example, i had to drop fireball and inferno because of the changes. 2 moves that were 6 slotted. That's already 2 IO's that are stuck in the build and that's before i start making other alterations.

    Yes we get a free respec with every new issue but it doesn't solve the problem of swapping more than 10 enhancements. I've used up to 7 respec's to totally clear out a toon of enhancements before deletion.


    Have you never enhanced a move with set IO's while you were waiting for the influence to buy purples?

    i'm not too fussed about the Respec suggestion but Princey is spot on about the 10 enhancement cap. I've been asking for this to change for ages.

    The current system was okay till inventions.
