The second digit of an Nvidia card is really important.. an 8800 or even 8600 at 256mb is going to perform much better than a 9400 at 512 mb.
The number system can be confusing. Basically. the first number is what series chronologically, so 7 series, 8 series, etc. The next number tells you how it compares to cards within the series
1,2 = very low end
3,4 = low end
5,6,7 = midrange
8,9 = high-end
Then the last two numbers are either 00 or 50. The 50 usually just means there was a small revision that did not warrant an entire new number. Now since the second digit only compares within a series, you will find that the high-end of a series will compare to the midrange of the next. So for instance 6800=7600, 7600>7300 therefore even though "6,800" is a smaller number than "7,300", a 6800 card is better.
Lastly, the suffixes go (roughly) GTX > GTS> Ultra > GT >GS > (nothing) > LE
I hope that helps! -
I like that idea! ( of level restricted AE access)
But I would make it level 15, and access opened by a special mission like the cape and aura missions... -

Um, why? I almost always end up outleveling this granny before I can manage to finish her mission.

Call her a "Granny" in that tone of voice and I hope you never get her temp power ever again!
Show some respect.. it goes a long way... even with NPCs... -
Spines/Dark Scrapper.... many guides available..

I was mostly concerned with the enemies wandering around disoriented AFTER Wormhole...
So more specifically... do you think it matters if crushing field ( the AOE Immob) is applied before or after Wormhole if I want to prevent disoriented wandering? Does the Immob effect last after wormhole is applied?
FYI I have 3 damage procs slotted in CF, which is why I use it often... -
I have been applying Crushing Field AFTER Wormhole, not before...
Does it matter?
Is one way better? -
I understand you can call yourself Tuter_King or Prezidint_of_Amerika or Rushin_Zar or whatever.. just trying to help...

Sorry.. but this has bugged me for awhile...
Not my name, not my characters, not my business..
But DAMN
The freakin' word is TUDOR! TUDOR KINGS!
like.. Actual Tudor Kings and Queens... -

If anyone involved in electrobiomechanical engineering wants to develop a way we can poke other people in the eye over the internet.. not only would you become a billionaire, but spam email would be totally eliminated...

Perhaps I should not have been so brief... I guess I recommend a second digit of 6 or more... I did not mean to imply the game would not run on anything lower...

The SECOND number is the really important one on geforce cards... make sure that second digit is at the very lowest a 6 or higher...

The absolute best place to find a team is wherever you are standing. Just start inviting folks. The game is called "City of Heroes."

Thanks.. but I do not want thugs or ninjas.. I already made and love my character. ( I do not mean to sound rude, thank you for your advice)
I am just trying to maybe even match the colors of my robots.
It does not have to be exact at all.. just a similar "theme."
If anybody has any hints even to match the colors or "oeuvre".. general gist, essence... visually..etc? -
Hello!
I wanted to create a Robots/ Mastermind that was one of the Robots Him(/Her/Itself.) There is a great chart matching the colors of the powersets to help make costumes here and here ... but alas, no stated "robot" colors. Do you think any particular colors or costume pieces, Helmets, Tech banded or Steampunk set details would be most useful in creating a mastermind that looked as much as possible like his robots?
(This idea might even lead me to the creation of a SuperGroup similar to the "Parallel Illusions," who are characters that all make identical costumes to the Illusion set pets.)
Thank you to anyone that might have any ideas that could help me! -
"I rolled 8 times once... got 1 of each of the Big 3. "
Which/What Big 3? ( feel silly not knowing...) -
This idea and comic was published in 1983 as NORMALMAN! It was very funny....

I think hours of play is far more relevant then calendar days.
Some people play 6 hours a week, just on weekends, others play 30+ hours a week, spread out everyday. I think the data you want.. and should use.. you will get from talking to any random citizen with a name beginning with the letter "M."
My first 50 was a DM/SR Scrapper, I think I took 456 hours more or less.
I enjoyed every single hour... slowly.
I urge you to do the same. -
Doing a Google search for Nexus Argos came up with full bio page with photo.
https://www.virtueverse.com/index.ph...;printable=yes
The character is almost an exact clone of Captain Mar'vell, even the bio. The kicker? at the bottom of the page it reads "Character influenced by Captain Mar-vell from Marvel Comics " -
Hello...
I want to tweak the layout of the rooms in my tiny 8x8 plot, but I am wondering if I sell an Insp, Salvage or Enhancement storage item, do I lose all the stored items? It would be totally understandable if I did, but I thought I would ask...
Thanks! -
Great Guide...
Post a build?
...
...Please? -
It was my understanding that the sounds of the various toggle powers were supposed to fade away after activation.
The power Quills in the Scrapper primary Spines is still constantly looping the sound. -
We don't get a vote?
Cuppa has/had waaaay too much power if we do not get a vote on whether she can leave or not... -
I recently asked Fourspeed if he had any thoughts on his fantastic PB build ( Nova/Dwarf intensive, and can be found in the Kheldian section of Player Guides), now that I6 is out... He kindly responded:
"Some thoughts on I6 and ED and how I'd alter the basic build:
Oddly enough it doesn't change much from a purely PvE perspective.
Nova
------
Form: I'd slot it the same up to L17, and I'd leave the ToHit in, but
I'd put the L19 and L21 slots elsewhere - see Final Thoughts.
BN Attacks: Basically, I'd stick with the Acc in each attack, and the Range in
Scatter... Now, regarding damage - ED really hits hard for more than 3 SO's
but the question (and I haven't tested this fully yet) is this: If I slot more than
3 Dmg SO's will it still 2-shot Whites and Yellows (with Build-Up). If the
answer to that is No (which is what I suspect from my initial testing), then
I'd stick with 3, and change the extras to an EndRed, and RchgRed,
otherwise, I'd consider the cost of a 4th Dmg SO, however, under no
circumstances would I go beyond 4 Dmg...
Dwarf
-------
Form: I'd only change the L31 slot to EndRcv rather than DmgRes making
it 3 and 3 of each type.
Other Powers
---------------
Quantum Flight got totally ganked in I5... This is one where I might just
leave it at the base slot, and only use it as an 'Oh sh*t' power... If you
do keep the L29 slots (making 3 total) it will be somewhat useful as a
short range travel power, but even that is questionable, or debatable -- I'd
definitely not waste the L31 slots there...
Final Thoughts
----------------
As I mentioned, things haven't changed as drastically for this build as it
has for many others. If anything, you'll gain some extra slots that you
can use. Some good candidate places would be: Reform Essence, or
Conserve Energy, and WD Sublimation. Also, you could put them in the
Human attacks and make them viable sooner than before... We, as PB's
lose some effectiveness, but apart from the 2-shot question in the Nova
section, I don't feel we've been hit too hard, and there are some silver
linings (they made WD Sublimation better, for example).
Anyway, I hope that helps answer your questions...
Regards,
