As long as "Fixing" PvP does not involve wholesale NERFAGE of PvE, as it has to date, I'm all for it.

Otherwise... the only "fix" to PvP I could support would be to break it out into a completely separate game.

Wait, altering one power (which is apparently STILL too brutal in PvE) is wholesale nerfage? Or is it that people just ignore all the PvE implications of power changes?

DoT Never broke placate prior to i11/i12

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh, it most definitely did. I've teamed with and played quite a few spine stalkers since before they raised the level cap and the DoT always caused aggro after placating. It even went so far as to start the small rumor that DoT's removed the Hidden state from you if you placated while they were still going. (Now THOSE threads were fun during the i7 "EVERYTHING BROKE!" days)
  3. DoT does currently nullify placate. Mostly because (if I'm not mistaken) it counts as a separate attack on the aggro scale. So far, I don't believe the slows or immobs do though, as I've only encountered it with DoT's ticking.

  5. Yeah, you do realize daily /bugs and /petitions won't help much, right?
  6. I saw one once, mostly face down though. All of the set's best assets don't lend themselves well to PvP (except for energy resists)
  7. Well, they also have the HP advantage in PvP, which helps a lot with sets like Regen, but even that doesn't help much unless you have the range of sets like spines. Melee without the means of getting close enough to use it doesn't mean much in PvP.
  8. Perma-OL?

    How does that work, exactly?
  9. In my experience, you can do very well in PvE with a PvP build. If you have the respec to use, go for it. Otherwise, might as well just build for PvP as you level up.
  10. Pure awesome.

Rowr, Brandon, Shia, Thally, all of you, thank you so much for this. It really is amazing.
  11. Well, after the first two one-shots Elernet got me with WAY back in i6, he never killed me again. Too bad he can't say the same for me.

Great guide M3z. I think this should be moved to the guides section and requested not to purge.

  13. Very nifty m3z. It definitely gives me a few things to think about.

One thing I'd like to know is, where would you place Shiver (if at all) in an Ice/ offensive plan? Such as, spam Block of Ice until held then hit them with Shiver, Alternate between BoI and Shiver as you go, or just skip Shiver completely and spam BoI until held then unload with the Ice blast trio (assuming one is Ice/Ice)?
  14. This is the ERPvP league, right?
  15. Umm, I don't believe you can get larger insps from combining, just different types of the same tier.
  16. I'd say make BF's more effective in the realm of needing just one (maybe two) to stop repel. To remove the repel factor from TK completely will massively damage the Mind control set in PvP.
  17. New MoG is awesome for stalkers. Almost perfectly so, given their abilities with re-hide.
  18. I believe it was a side-effect of the base-kicking bug that they were working on when they stumbled upon the fix. I do recall there being a call to have arena PvP matches going on test for a series of things, including while TF's were being completed and such.
  19. I don't believe I saw "lube" on the list.

    We should amend that.
  20. I heard that's how they do it on Justice.
  21. Nah, didn't forget it, just for some reason, all the links to it went to Freelance Wizard's guide instead.
