    (btw, break frees helped a lot against those holds. Just because you were bad doesn't mean i12 pvp was)
  4. I'd probably go EM/WP. Siphon Life isn't anything special in PvP and the elusivity nerf combined with DR makes /Nin not as great for PvP.

  6. Yup, I know for a fact that things like unique roles, less glaring imbalances, and power familiarity were just getting in the way of it being good. So glad the devs removed all the tactics and strategy from the game so we have our improved fight club.

    You might not like the "negative vibe" but I'm not going to lie to you about it. Things were made worse. If you want people to only tell you good things, regardless of truth, you really shouldn't ask in the first place.

    Either this post is a joke, or you are less informed than I thought.

    PvP wasn't revamped for the better. It was revamped, yes, but the changes instituted in i13 were for the worse. Unique team roles were removed and now everyone is almost exclusively a damage dealer. The pacing of the game was slowed way down, and many sets were made worse while not nearly as many got better.

    Of the characters you have listed, none of them I'd really recommend for a PvP build. Your Fire/Ice tank will have poor damage. Your empath's heals will cause suppression and heal decay, almost ensuring that whom you've just healed will die shortly after. Elec blast is "lol" in general without more end sapping to help it, which /fire doesn't do anything for. And Warshades are and have always been bad at PvP.

    Your friend also lied to you. That blaster will never be like a /thermal corr.

  14. AS has gotten better since i14. It isn't resisted anymore.
  15. In i13, it was MUCH harder to do, but possible if you caught a squishie unprepared (one with no +HP bonuses or accolades, no additional resistance, etc) and had enough +damage. In i14, it's gotten a bit easier since AS is unresisted again, but still pretty tricky, due to DR.

    Still, far from a credible threat as all it takes is WASD to diffuse most assaults like that. Same as it's always been.

  18. PvE and i12 PvP (for the most part)

    Blaster: Ranged and Melee damage

    Scrapper: Melee damage with some range and a mitigation secondary

    Tanker: Melee damage with minor range and massive mitigation/aggro management capabilities.

    Controller: Hard/Soft controls with support buffs/debuffs.

    Defender: Support buffs/debuffs with moderate ranged damage.

    i13 PvP

    Blaster: Ranged and Melee damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists.

    Scrapper: Melee and Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists and DR.

    Tanker: Melee and Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists and DR.

    Controller: Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists. Support role antiquated due to suppression and DR.

    Defender: Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists. Support role antiquated due to suppression and DR.

    Gravity (Again)

    I'd love it if Dimensional Shift were replaced with a power called Gravity Well. Target based toggle that has a reverse repel effect. All enemies in the area are drawn closer to that target.

    Gets them in niiiiice and close for some AoE havok.
  22. It offers resistance to repel as well as easily capping your HP. The self heal is the same, and with the changes to elusivity in i14, defense isn't nearly as good as it used to be.

    The two are close, but WP gets the nicer perks out of the two for PvP utility.
