Stalkers haven't been able to one-shot anyone since i7, and even then, it was only the squishies. Against experienced opponents, stalkers were more of a footnote than an actual threat. It was the corrs and doms that you wanted to stop in villain PvP.

This isn't true. Pre-i13, it was quite common to see a number of people from the Ducks and LoT in Siren's/RV most of the time. When one side got unbalanced, people would switch to even the odds.

i13 changed all of that, however.

Not to mention they can't really post much without people calling them every name in the book for not making the game exactly as they want it, rather than what would be the best compromise between all interests.

I believe it's because the -range modifier works on the range of all powers. So if they were to shorten the range of TP, it'd shorten the range of every ranged power you have.

DB is terrible for PvP.

I honestly don't see how anyone could play Pirates of the Burning Sea, then call CoH PvP boring. Ironically enough, PvP was the only thing even remotely interesting about Lineage II. That game was WAY to grindy for what it did.

Let's see...

We'll start with pretty much every major and minor fighting game since the late 80's. Multi-player RTS from Warcraft through Starcraft up to Sins of a Solar Empire. FPS from DN3D, Quake, UT (and the metric ton of variations on it), CS (including a spot on a higher ranked league team in Vegas), TFC/TF2, L4D. MMO's from UO, EQ 1 and 2, DAoC, WoW, WAR, AA (lulz, AA), FF XI.

That's just off of the top of my head. How about you?

Yeah, played plenty of games with good PvP. Still like(d) CoH PvP.

If you're just hitting up the zones, you don't need to worry about it too much. You'll be able to get in, get your kill, and get out most of the time without too much ruining your day.

"Sir! We found out that the PvP Ladder is starting again! What do you want us to do?"

"Pfft, no way they'll pull it off. Let's watch them fail for now."

Well, SR is better than Dark, that's for certain. It can be used quite well in PvP actually, but against an organized team that has even a vague idea of what they're doing, you'll want to have something else.

Then a tank should spec into Pyre mastery if they want to do more damage?
