    Regen vs SR

As long as you have a pulse, you can do great with any secondary in PvE. In PvP, /Regen is going to perform better.

WP is very solid all around and a good deal cheaper to build effectively for PvP though.

Awesome work guys! i13 sure did help PvP! Clearly you knew more about PvP then all of us PvP'ers who told you it was a retarded idea and that you were going to drive away all the PvP'ers.

But look what happened.....You drove away all the pvp'ers, now don't we look silly?
    We should get married

I killed (by myself) Hamidon in Issue 0 with my first blaster (Fatality, AR/Dev) with one, yes one, shot from Full Auto. Bugs were fixed, patches were made, Hamidon was changed and in Issue 1 I rallied Virtue together and we killed him from a safe rock with everyone with a snipe 6 slotting them for range and using AM to cap everyone's damage, recharge, and recovery.

Issue 2 rolled around and my SG started farming Hamidon for sweet Hami-Os (by sweet I mean DMG/RNG was a 50%/50% buff pre-ED). The fastest was 23 people killing Hamidon in 29 minutes.

Issue 4 materialized and I respec'd my Fire/Dev blaster into TP Foe, went to the Test Server and started the TP Foe trend in PvP (seriously). I won the massive Last Man Standing battle on the Steel Canyon map. My first kill being Xanatos and the last kill was some poor /Regen scrapper who got TP'd into enough trip mines to one shot him.

After rolling through the Test Server in PvP and it went live, I created Sitting Ducks, dominted PvP on Virtue, loved by some, hated by most, spawned the first Kronos at a Hamidon Raid on Virtue (see the link in my sig), and ultimately got pretty burned out and quit for many years.
Good to see you back, Porch. Any idea what Sharpened is up to?
  5. She needs to be tall enough to dunk.

Or at least have good fundamentals.
  6. Yes, boost range can make a very considerable difference, especially against melee characters.

You also get a very effective KB power, which is one of the better forms of control out there now. (You'd be surprised how many people don't get proper KB coverage on their characters). Add in Build Up and it's just icing on the cake.

    Get Taunt?

It cuts the target's Range down by a drastic amount. Something very good for any melee

This was back when you had to choose between toggles.. you couldn't have all your defenses up. I got killed so much that in the months of testing, I never got rid of her XP debt. Prior to that, CoH had no XP Debt cap. After I got through showing the devs how much a character could be killed, they added it in. These days, though, XP debt isn't even noticeable and the ice tanker can have all their shields on at the same time.
Interestingly enough, my first character was an Ice/SS tank named Glacia. XP debt at 5 bit, and KO blow doing no damage made things rough.
  10. I wouldn't say it's required, but it's definitely handy to have. And with Energy Absorption, you'll be able to easily mitigate the end cost.
  11. You're pretty spot on in your analysis of the set. Permafrost does give the added bonus of a little more fire resistance, which can be nice at times.
  12. Combat Jumping, Weave, put the Steadfast unique in Tough and six slot Build Up with Gaussian's. It should leave plenty of room to pick up all the other powers you'd want in your build.
  13. -Been here since the game launched.

-Name a body part and a mission map, and I've taken a bullet in it, on it.

-There aren't too many powersets and play styles I'm not familiar with, but I have to say I'm best versed in Stalkers.

-I'm always around to give advice, whether it be on AT/Set choice, PvP, etc.
  14. If you prefer the ranged heavy damage, roll a Psy/EM blaster on Freedom. It'll help teach you various skills that other AT's (read, melee) would otherwise forgo. Also, Melee AT's tend to develop bad habits in players if they start with them in PvP. Don't worry about what other people say to try and throw you off your game. Chances are, if they're complaining about what you're doing, it means you're doing it right.

Also, you don't really need to worry about higher levels vs lower levels in zones, as everyone gets put at the same level. Sure, higher level characters have advantages like better slotted powers and such, but it isn't like wandering into a level 70 area on a level 20 character.

Actually, this was how I expected you to explain it:

Women are a combination of two things. Time and Money (T and M for short)

    So, Women = T x M

    Now as we all know, Time is Money (T = M). So, Women = M x M, or M^2

Now Money is well understood as the root of all Evil, or M^2 = E

    So, Women = M^2 = Evil

    Women = Evil.

    Thank you very much.

    Orbiting Death

To put it in perspective, you have about a 5% chance to hit a stalker that's hidden, and only with one tick, before they AS you. It's a waste of endurance and better powers could be picked.
  17. My non-IO'd EM/Nin has done some insane things. Same for my Claws/SR, Nin/Nin, EM/Regen, and Dark/Nin.

If built properly, IO's or not, you can surprise even yourself.

    Accolades

Not as epic as the Snake Egg farm thread on test. I still have that whole thing saved somewhere.

    Back to Virtue!

Hiya Radey! I've been keeping the TS base... well, not clean, but not any worse either!
  20. I miss when you could TK people to the other end of the map and cage for 30 secs at a time. Fight Clubbers HATED that.
  21. It used to be terrible, but it's gotten better. Not as good as some, but still not too bad.
