Have I mentioned how much I love every picture of Neverdarke you've done? It seems like every picture of her is different from your usual style, but still quite clearly "you" in the most awesome of ways.

A well played Ice/Cold corr can be a nightmare for the 99 regen scrappers out there.
-
Yes, really. The things you'll learn on a blaster (timing your attacks, kiting, etc) will come in very handy in learning other characters, such as doms and corrs. Never did I say they will make you good at them, just that it will help you learn them.
-
Correction, I never said you could learn other AT's by playing a blaster. I said a blaster was a good start that's easy to get into while still learning the basics. Those same basics are used when learning another AT while being considerably less difficult for a beginner to get a handle on.
-
Don't worry about the beatings you take. Those come regardless. Instead, focus more on what you can learn from those beatings and what works. A good character to start with would be a blaster. Psi/EM and Fire/EM are both solid builds that can teach a lot of the basics of PvP through use. Starting with a melee toon can often lead to bad habits that will warp one's perception of how PvP "should be."
If you can get good on a blaster, you can learn other characters such as Doms and Corrs without too many problems. -
Even before IO's, a Rad/Sonic defender was one of the "go-to" builds for soloing AV's.

SS comes packaged with Rage, which is a great "always on" to-hit buff.

Quote:toss me a PM on these ones. I'd like to know what they are.on the one i finished with over a hundred hours, this was not the case at all. the lead went from using a fan to claws to his bare fists, only one female lead healed that well and even she was better with a sword or spear. the other was better at buffing and having pairs of wolves rip things up, and the final one was the party tanker.
in fact, i can name several off the top of my head where none of those were true. in one older one, the princess is the team buzzsaw and her priest companion is the main healer, along with a fortune teller. in another the main is a spear user bandit presently, and the "main female" went from being a black mage to bard. the whiny emo kid is usually the healer. or shall i get into the one where i really am me, and the kid that myself and an alien prefessor with a trans-species dog kidnapped primarily uses his fists, unless he is a chef or fisherman, and the ambiguously evil group is a j-pop band with a monkey.
oh and maybe the caffeine is dulling my senses, but i have no idea whatsoever what marcian is going for here, could you dumb it down for the caffeine addled? -
I say move the KB protection to static field, keep the auto resistances in and add the +HP to it. That'd be perfect for me.

Quote:This pretty much sums it up for me, which is a shame because I love some of the zones blue side.As much fun as it is to get new stuff, the old stuff is what makes me hate blueside more than anything.
I can't stand playing heroes anymore. It's gotten to the point where I don't even make heroes at all, I just make villains and switch them over when the content starts to get good, and that doesn't happen until level 35+. Old Hero content is just so bland, boring, and even painful to read. Constant "Go beat up this guy," "Go hunt 10 of these guys," "Go take this thing to this guy," "Go to this impossibly far-away zone and do this, then walk all the way back to me when your done," with almost no explanation for why you're doing these things other than "Because I said so." There are hardly any story arcs early blueside outside of the Hollows.
Villains just have so much better content. Kalinda is a personal favorite. From level 1, you're engaged in this awesome story, how you could be the most powerful villain ever, you just have to prove yourself. There are tons of story arcs from level 1 onward, and much more developed contacts. Heroside contacts are just boring civilian models with some cheesy back-story added in an attempt to make them interesting. "So-and-so was a average office worker, when a clockwork robot stole his favorite metal thermos. Since then, he's been hell-bent on defeating the clockwork king once and for all!"
If blueside content ever gets looked at, I might be convinced to roll a hero again. Right now the only heroes worth rolling are Kheldians, and that's because of their awesome story-arcs. -
Quote:Oh oh oh! How can one go about watching this? I'd like to see his methods in action.
Toxic Shia has been doing alot of art streaming lately where he draws live , i've found it amazingly great as a tool to watch him since I can ask him questions about what he is doing and how he is using photoshop and i've picked up a few tricks from seeing other artists drawing live .
I kind of wish I had your guys' dedication to art like this. So many ideas to draw, yet I'm entirely too lazy to get good enough to do it. -
Completely awesome. Your lines have gotten a lot more crisp over the years. It's great to see how much you've improved.

I like the "Team Ranma vs The Legendary Phoenix" poster in the background.

Quote:Change that tier 1 power to "Focused Force" (aka, Focused Burst, but immob DoT) and it'd be great.Actually, I really like that idea. There are enough thematic powers in other sets to make this work, without having to reinvent anything. Here's what I'd see the set being:
- Quick Strike
- Body Blow
- Siphon Power - Self-Buff version
- Smashing Blow
- Siphon Speed
- Energy Cloak
- Energy Drain
- Burst
- Concentrated Strike

Hour womaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!

I was on Greasetrap's team. There was no way we could fail.

Because that WP Scrapper will have RTTC, which is an auto-hit debuff aura. That means your stealth IO and stealth from the concealment pool are being suppressed, leaving you at the base 500 -perception from Hide. Any sort of perception (like Heightened Senses) will see you then.

Axl Van Haggar is the clear choice here.
