Yeah, no mention of base raiding either. I can only assume that the new CoP Trial is it's own entity now.

The 19th will be here before you realize it.
Take care Saint, see you when you get back. -
The CoP Trial was previously attach to Base Raids, is that still the case?

Illusion will get you backup singers...
...and an outstanding stage manager...
...and a couple of roadies.
Wha...?

Quote:Actually, that's for the 'radio communications' you get from contacts like Nance. In your chat windows right click on the global tab and choose edit.
In the selected channels list among the listed channels you should see a blank line between a couple of the channels that are there. If you don't then look at the available channels list and see if there is a blank line there. If so then add that blank line to your selected channels. It is actually the cut scene dialogue channel. It just either has no name or invisible letters for some reason.
I've had the same issue as the OP where in scenes like 'Protect Lady Grey' in Serpent Drummer's arc, the cut scene wont show Lady Grey's or the Fake Nem's chat bubbles, though it still shows up in the chat window (as long as you have NPC chatter enabled.)
It's a hit or miss, sometimes they display, sometimes they don't. -

Welcome, Il Doce!
Leave your sanity at the door, it will not be required. -
Quote:Which still proves a point about security. As well as jacktards attacking someone in RL, without even knowing if whatever info they have is correct or not. This was a foul ball. The actual mod lives in SOUTHERN California, not Northern.
Which meant some poor guy got roflpwned by a ton of people he didn't know, and had to change his phone # and take down his FB page.
Meanwhile the actual mod posts on his Twitter "They got the wrong guy." -
Quote:Apparently some, if not all of that info proved to be incorrect...A Blizzard moderator gives out his real name to prove this isn't a big deal. The result? Hilarity!

...with regards to the Moderator. I feel for the poor schlub that that info does point to though. -
Currently, I've been spending time on my Earth/Rad Controller (level 28.) I have no TF specific characters, most of the people I play with don't care what you bring as long as you'll have fun playing it.

As for those of you with WoW, a security risk has already been identified. -
Quote:The forum thread has now cracked 1100 pages.
Most of the posts are negative.
Also, while the original reason given was to 'take away the pro-troll environment', this has been exposed as a smokescreen.
The real reason? Apparently Vivendi has inked a deal with Facebook to "cross-pollinate" Battle.net with FB, supposedly to attract new subscribers by exposing player accomplishments and armory drops.
So this is essentially a money grab. Players have been reduced to marketing data, to be sold to whoever wants to pay.
I can't live with that, so I cancelled my WoW account this morning. Cata may as well be vaporware for me unless they rethink this decision.
Hey everyone... did you miss me?
Welcome back, Soul Train. -

Quote:Good to know, I just happened to have gotten my 33mo Vet Power two nights ago.We always take the AV's in this order, GW, Scirocco, Mako & Scorpion. An Illusionist with superior invis can single pull with the Nemesis Staff (with a little luck) or a blaster can do it from maximum snipe range fairly reliably. A Psi snipe is nearly guaranteed to single pull... the range on that sucker is so long. One of our teammates has a rad/psi defender and has never failed to single pull.
The order of AV's is intended to get the most dangerous ones out of the way first... GW can be a disaster if she comes along unexpectedly so prepare for her and kill her first. Scirocco is the next most dangerous for squishies with the dust devils so he's next on the hit list. Mako & Scorp are both fairly vanilla; of the two Mako's more dangerous. Scorp is simply a big bag of hit points; by far the easiest of the four.
In fact, I can recall one STF a while back where we got all four AV's in a busted pull and decided to go with it. By the time we dropped GW, Scirocco & Mako Scorpion was also dead from AOE splash. We managed to kill a 54 AV without realizing it -
Quote:The Dev's already said that there are not going to be any slots added.Based on what information, please?
**
As to facts: the enhancement screen changes are not good ones.
I suspect the changes are due to the upcoming Incarnate system. Possibly the necessity to allow for extra slots in each power which has resulted in the pre i17 slot spacing being changed and from there the enhancement level font being reduced.
Whether a Dev can read it at 2pm on a Tuesday doesn't interest me. Whether *I* can read it at midnight *easily* is important to me. I don't want to have to squint at my monitors. I'm running two relatively new Samsungs at 1680 x 1050, I've had an eye test recently, my monitors are clean and I find the numbers hard to read.
And if they looked fine on the Dev's monitor, then they wouldn't realize that there was an issue until someone mentioned it, in this case, multiple someones. -

Quote:The last STF I was on, I managed to confuse Scirocco, who then B-lined it towards GW (who just happened to tag along when we pulled Scirocco.) Teammates were all "WTF!" when he ran off to put the smackdown on GW, unfortunately this only served to place him within her support range when he got his thoughts sorted out. <sigh>Healing nictus has something like 200 mag protection to confuse. Good luck with perma confuse.

By the way, in the strategy for pulling the AV's is it typical to go for them in a particular order? We could not for the life of us, pull less than two of them. -
On occasion, even though the mission only states 'get this item', there are at times bosses that also need to be taken care of.
If you run into this problem again, clearing the map will usually solve your problem. At times a foe will get stuck in the geometry or even outside of it, at times like that it's a good idea to put in a /petition and get a GM's help.
Glad to her you got your particular problem solved. -
Quote:No.
I don't PL and I don't farm AE missions. But, if you take away the XP in AE, I'd use it even less than I do now.
When I use AE, I play arcs for the stories. I look for arcs by people I know. I look for arcs that I have heard good things about. If they took away the XP, I simply wouldn't bother.
Am I being perfectly clear? I play AE for the stories and if the arcs gave zero XP, I would not be playing them. Maybe I'm weird, but I like to feel that I'm making some kind of progress while playing. It can be XP, prestige, merits, but I need something.
^^ This
Also, with regards to the OP, I've come across players with a lot more Vet badges than I have that are just as clueless as an AE baby. Plus, it's also possible that a kid was playing on Dad's/Mom's/Bro's/Sis' account.
