Update: 3/11/09
-Add more Patrols, Ambushes and optional objectives to make the missions feel more "life-like" -
Quote:The kettle called the pot black... (I.E: That was a completely hypocritical statement)okay you're entitled to you're opinion but you are very rude and you must think 100 is a big number (can you count to it?).
Server transfer, while oft requested and wanted, is currently out of the reason due to a variety of variables. -
-I must not talk about animal rights in relation to Lord Recluse's fur collar.
-Even if it is made of 100% Minx.
-Taking a leak on the Lord Recluse statue on duty is not a good idea.
-Even if the nearest toilet is on the top floor of the Arachnos Tower.
-I am not allowed paint go-faster stripes on the Arachnos Flyer.
-Or hotrod flames.
-Or bunnies.
-Or flaming bunnies and go-faster stripes. -
I think one of the reasons for people avoiding Banner Raids is because of the immense lag. That is what didn't want me taking part in them but I still tried, for the fun and the badges.
One thing I will say, if you can find a lag-free one it's great fun! -
I try my best to get a team where possible, because, in my opinion, that's where the fun in getting to 50 is
I prefer to play through the content, be it a TF, arcs, AE or just radio missions or street sweeping. As long as it doesn't destroy the sense of progression and there's some good banter along the way I'm in. -
I have to agree with you, FF. After the first day the fun wore off. I'm all for badges and stuff, but sitting at doors hoping to get a Treat gets boring after a while.
And after you get the badge from Banner Raids you don't want to do them again because you want to avoid the lag, which is completely undesirable. It was fun while it lasted (for me anyway) and I hope the rest of the community enjoys it -
Thanks for the advice
I'll also stock up on Candy Canes when the time comes hehe -
Simple question about it; when's the best time to sell it?
Should I sell it during the Halloween event, slightly after it or long after it? -
Quote:It's there for when you get Halloween salvage so you can convert it into an extra costume piece.I don't know if it would make 50's want to play any more than they do simply because they have a second aura to look cooler but add no functionality. But I support the idea none the less.
I always found it odd that at 50 there wasn't some sort of costume related mission. You get them at 20, 30, and 40 so why is 50 lacking? I think there should be something mission wise that happens at 50. Some sort of "Hero of the City" mission where you perhaps help the Freedom Phalanx and are award the second aura, additional costume, special badge, temp power, whatever. Just another way of saying congrats on 50.
OT now, I would like to see this implemented, along with my much sought after Weapon and Pattern aura! -
Quote:I actually did find a cure! When you feel the urge to create a new character, create them in AE!I hate it.
After nearly three years it has finally gripped me.
Is there no cure?
Only really works if it's because of costume design and this is pre-16.. And PC is making me try new colour combinations so it seems I've got the Skittles strain of Altitis as opposed to the Newtoon strain.. -
I thought superpowered strippers were heroes regardless of what people say.. MAN, have I been wrong!

Quote:Happy B-Day Damz!Because the birthday thread is RIGHT there! But . . . . . hehe its me birthday!
Just finished my 6 - 2 shift and can now enjoy the rest of my birthday relaxing before my party on saturday hehe23 today! Im getting old
Don't worry, you're not quite old yet! You're still on the good side on 20 -
Personally, I think this would be a great suggestion because it would make more "Natural" Controllers available and workable.
Tier 8: Marker Drone: This is essentially a group version of Targeting Drone.
Tier 9: Auto Turret. -
I wholeheartedly agree with all these. I really hate having to constantly readjust the amount of salvage I'm dumping.
Side note: According to your Signature, I need to get laid -
On top of that, things like simple Zombie Invasion can produce pretty bad lag (for me anyway) because of the pretty colours of PC.

If you're up for some dimensional traveling I think you might like this:
The Fall of Rapture-(I.D)299507 would be lovely -
Curiously Quiet-@Mr. Popsicle
Story: 5/5. The story in this is very good, probably because I'm a sucker for war-like stories and because it was quite good. You start off being told that at a certain time in the future, all moniters go quiet for an unexplained reason. After picking up a signal from the distant future, you are sent to inspect it, discovering a plot which plans to start World War III
Costume Design: 3/5. The same problem quite a lot of these arcs have; no originality. From stereotypical militants, to stereotypical mutants which are snot green and have huge, bulging brains.
Comprehensiveness: 4/5. The only quip I have with the comprehensiveness is the 5th Column's proper motivation for hunting for a set of documents. A motivation that is not their Fascist ideals. One thing I did like is the way the player is left in confusion throughout the arc until the end where the gaps are filled in, considering your contact is a simple scientist you moniters time and dimensional frequencies. This form of storytelling is something I learned to appreciate by reading the novel [i]Never Let Me Go[/b]
Overall: 4/5. The arc was very good I found. Apart from a custom group which is ridden with -Recharge and Targeting Drones, among other powers that any other AT that isn't a /Willpower Scrapper would find annoying. The arc also falls down in costume design and the fact that there are two mandatory allies, one which seems to be added for the hell of it.

Next Recommendation: Stop THE POWER ELITE

Just a couple of notes; My recommendations will be coming on a weekly basis from now on due to RL getting more hectic. Hopefully, I may be able to get more than one in a week.
Also, starting from the next review I will be adding another rating; Playability -
As all you EU players on Sals' (among other channels and in-game cliques) may know, last nights Banner Raid in Croatoa ended in DISASTER! Utter disaster!
A massive Mapserver caused what I believe to be most of the players to disconnect and not be able to log back into that specific character for quite some time.
We already have Lagville, The Valley of Lag on ITF and now the Banner of Lag (TM). I know that US server upgrades were done to deal with the large population, but after last nights horrendous lag from even ToTing to Banner Raids was enough to put me off for the duration of Halloween.
The only "safe" way of getting a lag-free Banner Raid is wait for more than one to crop up, or even two consecutive ones, so the lag of the second will be lower. (This did work for me)
So please, can you increase the server capacity? Even a tad? -
First ToT I did I got Recluse Mask and States mask in the first mob

If you want to try your hand at making an arc for my character Mill Worker feel free to send me a PM so I can make up the critter file and send it to you
Here's is bio so you can get your thinking cap on, if you're up to it:
Everybody knew the steel mill was poorly run. The shifts were too long, the men were too tired, and the machines were too old. But it was the only work in town, so every able-bodied man shoveled coke and poured metal and hoped to live another day. The ore was cheap, too, coming from abandoned and condemned mines worked by desperate men. There were... impurities. Strange minerals that glowed faintly, that released sickly clouds as they fell into the ovens. The workers would get sick, and keep working, because they had to.
Nobody knows why John Mill fell into the vat that day. They knew he had the sickness, that it was changing him. They knew he had lost his wife in childbirth, and that the child had been a freak that died before it drew its first breath. Some said suicide; some said accident. They stopped the line, of course, but the heat that melts metal burns bones. His body was never found.
But the stories flourished. They said that old John Mill haunted the earth still, in a body made of ore and steel, with fists like hammers. They said that he stalked the mill, seeking redress for his unfathomable loss. By day the mill owners laughed at the superstitions, but they had no explanations for the things that happened by night. Their nerves stretched to the breaking point, and at last one snapped, turned on the others, and turned states' evidence. The owners went to jail, the workers got settlement checks, and the mill closed down... and of John Mill, who knows?
