Personal bases. And I by personal bases, I don't mean SG bases, I mean like personal islands which we build up etc, etc. for Villains.
Similar things for heroes -
I think this would be pretty useful. Although Broadcast works very well, in certain "hub zones", it can clog the chat flow.
It gets my vote. -
Quote:Fair point.I think Umbral covered it pretty well but I'd add one more thing. To me a lucky character should be about positional defense not typed defense. He avoids attacks by not being there and to me that screams positional defense.
I just had an idea kicking around for something different in terms of powers and decided to call it Luck Defense -
The PBAoE is intended as one tick of damage once the power is activated.
-
Great site! Keep it up!
Try posting this in the Player Help section of the forums, it'll get more effect there -
What we need are better Flintlocks! Have to be my favourite handgun.. Probably because I opt for pirates over ninjas
The ones we have don't look too great, and with the new costume pieces we've been seeing I'm sure they can reskin them to look better. -
Would love this. Actually makes the bloody power useful >.>

I had this exact same problem. It took me this entire week to get all the Banner badges, but I just finished them today.
My advice is join every single event channel, see how many people are interested in Banners and have a "Banner Watch" going on, monitering the event tab. Do the same for Eochai and Jack. Worked for me
The ToT Badges are easy to solo, which is a good thing. -
A Defense powersets for a more Natural feel. This is a set for Scrappers, Tankers, Brutes and Stalkers.
Feel free to give your feedback on the premise of this arc and any improvements you could add to it.
1.Four Leaf Clover: Toggle + Def (Smashing, Lethal, Negative) +Res (Psionic-Minor)
This Four Leaf Clover is a standard lucky charm. This will protect you from Smashing and Lethal damage and also ward away any Negative Damage.
-Animation: Standard Tier 1 shield animation, with the outline of a four leafed clover flashing on the character's chest.
2.Rabbit's Foot: Toggle + Def (Fire, Cold, Energy, Psionic)
Rabbits are one of nature's fine creatures. This charm will protect you from some of nature's fierce aspects such as Fire, Cold and Energy but will also grant you defense against Psionic attack.
-Animation Undecided
3.Fortune: Toggle PBAoE- Teammates +DEF(All), Self- +Recharge.
You're a very fortunate person. So fortunate in fact that you emit a euphoria of good luck, which increases your allies' defense to all types of damage and increases your own attack rate.

4.Lady's Luck: Toggle +Def (Hold, Sleep, Confuse, Immobilise, Disorientate, Knockdown, Knockback)

-Animation Undecided
5.Bad Luck: Toggle PBAoE- Foe (-ToHit -Defense*)
Just because you're a lucky person, doesn't mean others are. With this power, you will be able to cause your foes to have bad luck. This will lower their chance to hit you and their Defense.
-Animation is the Recovery Aura animation
6.Gamble: Click +Special*
The ultimate test of luck; a gamble. By gambling you have the opportunity to increase your defenses or hinder them! Somethings the odds may be 1:1 and you may get nothing in return. This buff/debuff will last 10 minutes. Recharge: Moderate
-Animation is the Roll Dice emote
7.Coin Toss: Click Self +Def (All), +Special*
Tossing a coin; 50/50. Heads you win, and get a defense bonus against all defense, tails you lose and get nothing. It's your choice. Once activated, this power will last until you log out. Recharge: Moderate
-Animation is the Coin Toss emote
8.Winning Streak: Click +Special*
You're a winner! With this power active, for every enemy you defeat as part of your "winning streak" will give you a small damage bonus for up to 10 enemies. Recharge: Slow

-Animation is the Moment of Glory Animation with gold coins shooting out of the fist like a fountain.
*= This is only a minor defense reduction
*= This power offers a 60% Chance of a random buff (Same as the Mystic Fortune buffs), a 30% chance of a random debuff and a 10% chance of getting nothing.
*= This power offers a 50% chance of a Defense buff to all types of damage and a 50% chance of nothing.
*= For every enemy you defeat, you earn a 2.5% Damage Bonus, up until the 10th enemy. This caps the damage bonus at a max of 25%.
N.B: The Stalker version does not contain Bad Luck. First power is Hide and the rest are just moved down the list. -

So, I've had two ideas for characters kicking around for quite some time and have found a few arcs that seem pretty fun to Roleplay, but Roleplay isn't as much fun without a team so I thought "Why not create a RP Superteam?"
This team is planning on running through MA arcs on Villains.
The names to the two backstories for the groups hasn't been decided yet or the time and date at which this will be run. I was thinking around 10.00PM GMT on Friday?
Note; the Power Sets for Group One do not have to be Radiation, they can be anything, just coloured appropriately and mentioned in the background. Any Power Set can apply for Group Two as long as it can be related from a God from a RL or In-Game Deity.
Two themes I was thinking about:
-<Insert Name Here>: Portal Corp. has revealed many dimensions. Some in the past, some in the present and others in the future. Most of them being different timelines of Earth, or Primal Earth. In a dimension known as Shattered Earth, a corrupt Positron used himself as a power source for a machine which irradiated the entire planet. Most died, some mutated and retained their humanity, others.. Weren't so lucky. Out of desperation, some people self-medicated with various radioactive substances in a vain attempt to resist the radiation from this cataclysmic murder of all life on Earth.
A group of Positron's supporters, and elite core at the time, known only as <Insert Name Here> survived. With their own world left in ruin, they began wandering dimensions, finding a comfortable home in Primal Earth. While their main base of operations is there, they still wander dimensions, to make themselves feared and respected.
-<Insert Name Here>: Ever since the Well of Furies was activated, ordinary people everywhere have started gaining powers, some even interacted with ancient Gods that people thought not to exist.. But everyone knows the Midnight Squad holds the secrets of these Gods. A coalition of monstrosities and people gifted by various mythological Gods has been formed for one particular reason; to claim the secrets of the Midnight Squad to increase their power and relationship with their respective Gods. And maybe some other deities' items could be seized as well.
If you're interested please say which of the two you're opting for, or feel free to PM me your own and I'll add it!
Also, if you have a character sheet in mind, post it with your RP Backstory choice -
Quote:The entire list made me laugh. KudosSincerely awesome news!
Now I need to list things I plan to do with the new Walk power.
1) Walk... er... well... places...
2) Walk... umm... other... places...
3) Oh! Defiantly refuse to run away from my enemies... show them my disdain for their obvious threat by simply WALKing away. The port to the hospital will provide me with all the speed I require.
4) Roleplay taking a walk with friends... oh wait... I don't have any friends.. ummm... Roleplay walking in quiet contemplative solitude.
5) Build a new and powerful appreciation for Sprint... comparable to the appreciation I had for my travel powers when all I had was Sprint.
6) Immediately begin begging for new "Prestige Walk" emotes like Saunter, Strut, Sashay and Mosey.
7) Eagerly anticipate "Crawl."
8) Six Slot Walk with Run Speed enhancements so I look like one of those Olympic Power Walkers.
9) Bitterly complain that Inherent powers are non-enhanceable.
10) Walk like a man. Talk like a man. Walk like a man, my son. -
For your pleas have been heard!
I had to post it here, it'd probably be removed from the official RP section -
Big thanks to the Devs! You showed "the other game" who's boss
-
I can already hear the happy cries of the Roleplayers! Including me!!!
BaBs, you frickin' ROCK! -

Top Ten Complaints About Issue 139
1) The standard Intercranial I/O port I have is outdated and won't accept the new Brain-Piercer 9000 Link Plug.
2) Super Jump is still awesome and all, but the new Hallucination Technology Graphics System is so realistic I have to take motion-sickness pills before playing.
3) This whole 8-Bit Retro thing is seriously starting to piss me off.
4) We had to wait THIS LONG to finally get bell-bottom jeans in the costume creator? And what's worse is we have to complete the entire 70's Revival Story Arc missions to unlock it!
5) Okay, seriously? The Power Customization thing is going a bit too far now. Yesterday I saw a guy do the Eagle's Claw attack by honking his opponent's nose. BaBs would be rolling over in his grave... if we hadn't preserved his brain in a pickle jar and forced it to keep working.
6) After careful consideration, I find I agree with the Devs original assumption that having female Mastermind pets was asking for trouble... especially after introducing the new "craft your own emote" feature.
7) Costume contests have been much more interesting ever since they made Atlas Park a PvP zone.
8) I really think the Devs have gone a bit overboard in their war against farming. The "diminishing XP returns for killing the same enemy type in a row" rule was ill-thought out at best.
9) I think the "realistic aging process" idea was okay. If nothing else it makes us long time veterans feel like there is some progression going on. Still, after hitting 60 they REALLY should have made Sister Psyche and Swan get new costumes.
10) I know they were running out of Vet Reward ideas by this time, but really... The Sleeping Cow Kung Fu powerset was just insulting. -
Just checked my User CP today to find someone managed to give me Neutral Rep. Until this points I've been only getting green jellybeans and the odd red one for one ridiculous reason or another, but a grey one?
When was this possible?! O.o -
Conga Ratz, Chesire Cat! You really deserved this.
I played this arc myself and felt that it deserves to be Dev Choice, really well done -
-
More weapons; yes
More unlockables?.. No.. -
Quote:I actually haven't felt that unless all the objectives are given at once. If some are spawned after "X" event happens it breaks up the monotony. Also, ever think of optional objectives which are used to add a sense of life to the arc?I don't see that as being true at all. Adding more types of objectives does not require increasing file size unless people plan on using them all at once and it's not clear that's a good thing. Think of how many arcs you've run that have had you exasperated at the number of things you're expected to do and/or the number of chained objectives.
Quote:I did not say they should not be used at all. I only said that filling an arc with them is almost always a sign that there's no actual story involved. (And if necessary I could rewrite my arcs to use no custom mobs. I wouldn't advocate that but it can be done.)..
...How? Custom mobs are not "better gameplay" in any objective sense. In fact, on the whole they're probably a good bit worse. I cannot think of a single custom mob that was any more interesting or fun to fight than anything I've fought in the stock missions, but I can think of lots that were much, much worse (some of which I designed -- c.f. "Psychophage").
I have been told that the group is well design, both aesthetically and balance-wise/playability-wise. So do not assume that just because the (and I should slap myself for using this arcaic term) AE Babies used Custom Mobs to get phat l00t.
Quote:Power customization would be a good example of a feature that would require expanded file space. But if they just up the space allotment and turn on customization people won't use it to make arcs with fifteen mobs with customized powers. They'll use it to make arcs with thirty mobs -- and then complain they don't have the space to customize them. (Three guesses what happens if you give them the space, and the first two don't count.) If they added space and added a hard cap on the number of custom mobs allowed per arc that would work but I don't see that happening.
Quote:You need to cut something, then. If you're as creative as you think you are that won't be a problem.
I very much doubt adding whitespace or such is going to make any real qualitative difference in yours or anyone else's arc.
Also, whitespace makes arcs much easier to read, along with text formatting. It improves the presentation, which is equally important as the content the player will experience in the missions. -
