Was creating my arc for Doc Aeon's Challange and got this PM:
Player: Hi. Would you like to join a level 50 Freakshow farm in PI?
Me: No thanks. By the way, you might want to read my Search Message; ("Will not farm/fill/PL")
Player: I'm here to play, not read.
Me: No need to be snarky. I was just pointing that out for future reference
Player: I'm not being snorty.
Me: I said "snarky" not "snorty"; obviously you aren't here to read. By the way, if you aren't here to read why are you reading my replies?
Player: Omg ignored for one day.
Me: No problem. Was planning on doing likewise.

One villainous heroic arc coming right up, Doc!

Quote:Looks like we got another Pirate supporterCrush if you must, but in a world with Nemesis retro-tech already firmly established there is no a priori reason for this restriction. Any decent super-scientist or technomage or the like should be able to come up with pistols that look like flintlocks and outperform modern weapons; no reason to tell the would-be pirates they're stuck with modern hardware.
Hear that, ya ninjas?!
Anyway, I completely agree. Personally, Flintlocks and Clockwork pistols definately get my vote. Anyway, I think there was an image of a multi-barreled Flintlock on the first page? -
Okay, set up the Roleplayers channel, it's called Roleplayers United.
Just some things to note for the channel.
-No actual roleplaying on the channel.
-Keep the channel for organising RP get-togethers, MA Runs, Teaming and TF's.
-Advertisement and recruitment of Roleplaying SG's is acceptable one the theme of the SG is included and it is a designated RP SG.
Also, if you're capable of setting up a forum, please send me a PM
Oh! And list your global on this thread when you join the channel. Have fun! -
Also, I hate having my global tagged to the end of my Character's name like in CO
-
Names are pretty easy to get IMO. Then again, I'm on the EU servers, less population and all.
Managed to recently snatch:
-Globestomper
-Propanic
-Offworld Outlaw
-Mill Worker -
-
That'd also be awesome! Would be really useful for one of my SG's..

Quote:I wholeheartedly agree. Why should people be denied certain awesome costume pieces because they haven't been around long enough? I'm fine with powers that are just a QoL though.Seriously. The costumes are why I play. I love the character creator, I love being able to make different looks and different characters. Having options - especially options that might be vital to a concept, like "invisible skin" or "wings" - locked away within the Veteran's Reward system really destroys that aspect of the game.
If a costume part isn't in the game at all, I can accept that it's not there to use. If it's there, but locked away from me just because I haven't played long enough? Game over. F that. -
Quote:^This. This THIS!I've always wanted to be able to craft my own missions. No, not the MA. This would be more like getting a rumor in the form of a recipe and then I would have to find clues in the form of salvage. Once I've gathered all the clues I needed I would confirm the rumor in the supergroup computer, or at the library. Once confirmed I would now have a new mission and if I complete the mission I get a special reward which was mentioned in the recipe. A unique enhancement or a temporary power or a special inspiration or whatever. Something that would make the gathering of rumors and clues worthwhile, at least.
Example: You fight Hellions and hear a rumor about a ritual that is about to happen. The Hellions are going to sacrifice their girlfriends to an evil entity mentioned in an old tome they found. You gather clues by fighting more Hellions: one drops a Where, one drops a When and one drops a Why. You go back to base and feed the computer with your findings, and out comes a mission. You complete the mission and get a Tome inspiration which grants 1 hour of double xp earning.
Ideally the clues should affect the mission so that a Where clue should determine the map type, a When clue could cause the mission to be timed and a Why clue would determine whether it's a defeat-all, defeat the boss, click a glowie, escort a hostage or something else.
Oh.. And This -

Just out of curiosity, how many people would use a Roleplayer global channel?
Just to help organise more events for Roleplayers that aren't under GG's Skirt, or hanging in Pocket D. Maybe more things like MA runs, Task/Strikeforces, PvP events etc. -
You never know, we've got two of the apparent impossibles already; Power Customisation and now Walking. The only other one left that is of important, it seems, is a Server Merge.
-
Transitions in maps to a different map (like the Office to Sewer/Cave maps) would add a new face to the game.
Gets my vote. -

Praetoria, huh? Sounds like that place needs a bit of spicing up, waddya think, Freddy?
*Nudges Freddy Filth (Arsonist)*
Look, what use is a world that's perfect, has a top notch police force and perfectly secure banks if no one ain't gonna test it out? Robbin' Paragon is boring at this stage! I mean, PPD practically opens the vault for me when the hear that Johnny Filth and the Black Wolf Gang is in town!
A fresh start, new name and a helluva lot of more cash!
Praetoria, the Black Wolf Gang is gonna rock your world!
Awoooo!
Johnny Filth- Thug/Forcefield MastermindQuote:A perfect world? Really? This. This isn't possible, is it?
Our world isn't perfect, and there's is. Maybe they can help bring me back to what I once was.. Not a walking shamble, inhabited by an alien symbiot!
If I can prove myself to Cole, he can give me a cure. And if I can get myself a cure, then my wife will no longer shun me and I can go back to being an ordinary professor. It sounds like heaven.
Dr. Warren Shade- Umbral Blast/Umbral Aura Warshade. -
What's worse is when this flippin' Vampire Lords come outta the door! How the bloody hell is a lowbie expected to kill them when they constantly hold you and put you to sleep!
*grumble grumble* /rant *grumble* -
Quote:Just because we all want to kill Cole and spit on his grave doesn't mean we're ignoring Ms Liberty and Manticore. They're nextWhy do you never mention Ms Liberty and HER thugs (Longbow) or Manticore and HIS thugs (Wyvern)? There's enough shady stuff going on in Primal Earth on the 'good' side to balance ANYTHING Emperor Cole is doing in Praetoria
-
Would love this. I've always wanted to make a floating suit of armour!
-
Quote:As long as we don't have to put up with those Loyalist pigs after being defeated, it's bad enough here on the boardsThere'll probably have to be Resistance safe houses of some sort in each zone, because there'll need to be trainers and places to sell your stuff too.
There might be a main Resistance base, that's like the Vanguard one, with several signature Resistance NPCs in it, and then other smaller bases in the other zones. -
Anyone have any good low level arcs to suggest for a level 4 Rad/Storm Corrupter?
Criteria it must meet:
-Must be soloable
-Villainous or Neutral (Which doesn't assume very heroic motives)
-Story focused and good to Roleplay on.
