Quote:Cobra Strike on a boss WILL work because it I'm fairly sure it stacks. It's meant to mez targets, not damage them. That's what the OTHER 6 powers are for.Don't tell me I'm not understanding. Your not understanding.
What I said is not false.
I know you can stack those powers (-def attack in Kat and BS, -tohit from DM)....but if you use them alone on a boss, they will work.
If you use Cobra Strike on a boss...it will not work. -
I'm planning on getting my GF into this, she saw me on it once leading a horde of flaming zombies. I'm pretty sure that's enough to win her over
On the plus side, she's never played an MMO so none of those "Other Games" can corrupt her -

First off, thanks for the, err, brutal review
Quote:Thanks, it's one point I tend to focus on the mostFirst the good, the author has done a really great job in costuming the custom faction.
The enemies are your usual faceless soldiers type, but their uniforms are spot on for that futuristic, fascist motif that is going on in this arc. My screens really cant do them justice as to how stylish they look in game.
The arc also ties in the mission to the map much better than most arcs, with the crowning moment being mission 4. There are also some smaller but also good touches in the arc such as finding the exit in the first mission (which isnt code for fight the boss who spawned all the way back at the start). All in all, if theres one thing I can say that this arc does do well, its atmosphere.

No, "Web of Conspiracy" is an Canon-Related arc and is completely separate to "The Fall of Rapture"

Arc Name: The Fall of Rapture
Arc I.D: 299507
Synopsis:
Portal Corporation; the hub of many dimensions, each housing an alternate version of Earth. But there is one in particular that has cropped up, the one known as Rapture. When you find a message from a mysterious contact known as The Answer who communicates through interdimensional messages.
In this dimension, a tyrant called Elides Norm has overthrown the previous ruler of this Earth and made it his own, using his personal army.
Journey through this thorn and savaged world to liberate it's people and stop the acts of inhuman brutality.. Or will you discover an odd truth? -
I can use one of my arcs
Although it does involve a certain 100 Year Old Standard Critter, is that alright? -
Just another quick question, would it be possible to change Escort details so we can lead the escort to a different objective like those "Lead Tech to computer" objectives?

Quote:You could probably get them off www.paragonwiki.com or you could try using Fraps to take screenies and re-size the images@Greenykins: Thank you for letting me know about the color visibility issue--I have a darker color blue I can use in place of the lighter shade, so I'll fix that ASAP.
@The_Killbot_5000: Thank you for clarifying about the font. What I may do is experiment with using a sans-serif font on the main body text instead of the serif font I've got in place now--I just noticed that the serif font seems to render numbers and some letters a little oddly. Well, Paragon City wasn't built in a day, lol!
I'm glad to hear from people about things I can improve on the site as well as things that are going correctly--I'm glad that this project, which started out so little, expanded into the kind of resource that it is.
By the way, does anyone know where I can get images of the different Invented Enhancements? A visitor had mentioned adding images to the Invented Enhancements page (under "Game Items") a long time ago, and I definitely agreed, but I couldn't figure out how to get screenshots of them in-game. Thank you in advance! -
I got a few.
-Is it going to be possible to give Standard Critters different powersets like a Freak Tank with Claws, for example. -
Quote:want!
new costume change emote: The "oops wrong closet" emote... Basically you go to change outfits but get the wrong one.. In action the character gives a thumbs up then vanishes in a cloud of smoke... The system does a costume creator randomize and the character appears wearing it.. They scream in humiliation then vanish again to reappear in the correct outfit -
Quote:I agree with future ones getting this applied, but not current ones./no to the original concept. Just. no.
***
However, it might be interesting if future Giant Monsters are built to take down one part at a time.
We already have Lusca and an the Hydra AV from the Sewer Trial also has this. -
How about just coding it so it can't be reapplied to Henchmen who have already receive the upgrade and make the endurance only be lost when it actually upgrades a henchie?

Last time I checked we could put Custom Critters in a vegetable-like state where they couldn't attack, right? Why won't this work anymore? :S
Is it just me or is the MA being buggy since Walking was introduced? -
Quote:I lolled.I'll see that and raise you Commander Aggrivation (spelled wrong on purpose), who I had to dust off first because she had over 900 days offline.
She's a team-oriented Controller with useful powers like Dimension Shift, Sonic Cage, and Recall Friend, which she uses at every opportunity. She also has Grant Invisibility for all the Tanks who need it. -
Quote:Only thing I can think of is Mad Nug (If you put it together and flip it around it spells GundamTOTALLY trying to get away from the trench coat look,no trench, hat, combat boots, sunglasses. Not too big on cowboys, used to live in TX and I had enough of that crotch scratchin, bull ridin, macho garbage.
I know I want to go with the dp/rad w/toxic shells, patron depends on the build ie;if it's end heavy going with Mu.You get the idea.
Actually the point of me posting this is I want to see others ideas,I get a kick out of people's toons/bio's/themes and sometimes people have a different way of looking at things than I do.Perhaps something can be used or it may lead me into the right direction.I am my own worst enemy when it comes to toons,I get an idea and build it then get tired of it because it doesn't feel right.(I know sorta weird)
The thing that is screwin me up is that I can't get the usual suspects out of my head ie;Matrix,Trigun, etc. It's like I have a block when I think about a DP toon.Meh..stoopid brain...)
As for not deciding on a theme yet, and considering that you are a loyalist (pig), maybe one of Emperor Cole's top enforcers, who keeps the Syndicate and Resistance in line through police brutality, a steady aim and mental dysfunctionality, which leads him to get a bit twitchy and dangerous at times if aggravated.
Can't check availability since I'm over on the other side of the pond though. -

My thoughts: Great arc!
When I heard it was a political satire and was based on American politics I was turned off because I'm not a fan of politics and was afraid I wouldn't get the "in-jokes" of the American political world, being Irish and all, but I was pleasantly surprised!
The costume design was very well executed and the dialog was quite humorous.
The arc was based on a solid story, which was entertaining and very light-hearted. Coming from me, that's a good thing, considering I tend to opt out of most comedic arcs as they can either be poorly or brilliantly executed.
One thing I will say is good zombie design. I'm sick and tired of being told I'm fighting zombies to see the Zombie Pre-set costume, but you actually changed that around which definately bumped your score up.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find Karl Marx so I was forced to quit the arc so I'm not sure of the ending, but I gave it 4 Stars
All you need is more variety in the Custom Group's powers and more side-objectives like Patrols and maybe an Ambush or two.
Also, Boss spawns not set as necessary for completion are good sources of dialog and humour
**** and well deserved IMO. Nice first job! -
Quote:I have the exact same problem. The worst part is I need the arc made for Dec 6th for Dr. Aeon's Challenge! >Guys I need an help about a very strange problem I noted. In one of my arcs (labelled as "for lvl 40-54") I use a hybrid custom villain group which doesn't have level gaps (since the custom critter are lvl 1-54 and the standard ones are all lvl 39-54). Before I16 everything was fine, but today I checked my arc with a lvl 50 and discovered that now only the custom critters spawn inside the missions. I tryed to modify the group but still the standard critters don't spawn. What's happening? As I said, before I16 this problem didn't exist, could it be related to the exp change added (since the Custom part of the group has all the roles - minions, lieutenants and bosses - while the Standard part has only minions and bosses)?
