  2. I strongly agree with number 6. I actually want my villains to have a team! Why would I have my VEAT hop on the band wagon and become Operative Jerico: Your Friendly, Neighbourhood Crab Spider? >.>

That's due to the fact Redside is a bit more polished than Blueside. I still agree this should be addressed though.

  5. All of them I like so far.

Brickstown: how about a Jailbreak event? Arachnos is continuing Operation: Destiny and is breaking more prisoners out of The Zig.

Criminals and cons flood the streets of Brickstown terrorizing (taking over) different neighbourhoods. Take out the instigator for each zone (An Arachnos AV or EB which could be a new Arbiter critter) to push the prisoners out.

During the event, large Arachnos spawns could be seen near The Zig along with increased spawn size for normal Villain Groups taking advantage of the pandemonium.

Cimerora: Romulus has managed to call upon Hades/Pluto (considering the whole Roman/Greek lore is mashed up in CoH) to wreak havoc on Imperious' forces.

During this event there would be spawns of demons and other nasties flooding the streets and inhabiting the entire zone (save the entrance). A Giant Monster would be roaming the peninsula causing havoc and would award a badge when defeated.

The event can be stopped one of two ways; wait it out or banish Hades himself. Hades would con as an AV and could be found randomly around Cimerora.

I think that for my ex-mechanic/trophy hunter! :O

Also, we really need 'pattern auras' so we can make that circuitry pattern glow along with the others! It's something I've been asking for since I joined the forums

    Vanguard LVAS

What'd be nice is to have a wearable VAS.

Now, I know Vehicles as, say, travel powers are technically impossible as of right now.
    However, Shape-shifting is not. And my proposal for that'd be thus;

The LVAS would be a scalled down, stripped down version of the HVAS, maybe without the frontal armour and, essentially, having a cockpit area. So, slightly larger than Granite Armour or Dwarf Form, but still small enough to fit through doors and such. (Maybe with a tad of clipping. It doesnt kill anyone!)
The LVAS would be be either a self-contained toggle-power, or a clicky transform power. Either version would be unslottable.
The LVAS would either have all the HVAS powers with a slight scale down on power, or slightly different power selections.
    For now;

    Light Vanguard Assault Rig
Set ammount of HP, Regen, Recovery and Res. Exclusive to other armours

Plasma Blast: Moderate damage (Energy). A single shot with one of the rigs arm mounted Plasma Cannons.

Plasma Barrage: High Damage (Energy), - Regen. A high powered volley of Plasma fire, that deals high damage and slows regeneration.

Frag Grenade: Moderate Damage AoE (Smash/Fire), Knockback. A standard MkIII Frag from the Grenade launcher mounted on the back of the LVAR.

Seeker Drones: Disorient, -DMG, -ACC, -Perception, Low DMG(Energy). Two seeker drones deployed from the back-mounted rack.

Air-Bomb: High Damage (Fire) DoT, Knockback. A large explosive round fired from the back-mounted launcher. Slow recharge but good damage.

So. Just my idea. Would need building and animating and all that schtick. But more useful than a 9999 cost pet that does nothing. We get them for free with vet rewards.
THIS THIS THIS! A thousand times over!!

I'm against simply keeping it open year-round. However, I would love to see it converted into a water part for some kind of summer event
Now this I can get behind

I'll have a look at the handbook page. I'll be in touch

I also got a nice Domi who would love a bit of world domination ^^
He's still a bit low, but I'll get him up a few

  13. That's it. The only thing I want to keep relatively the same is the head, the rest can be changed as long as it's in-keeping with the bio. Also keep in mind that there will be Magma Skinned Stone Armor toggles running

    (Bio)

Everyone knew the mill was poorly run. The shifts too long, the men too tired and the machines too old. But it was the only work in town so every able bodied man shoveled coke and poured metal and hoped to live another day. The ore was cheap too, coming from abandoned and comdenmed mines worked by desperate men. There were... Impurities. Strange metals that glowed faintly, that released sickly clouds as they fell in the ovens. The workers would get sick, and keep working, becuase they had to.

Nobody knows why John Mill fell in the vats that day. They knew he had the sickness, that it was changing him. They knew he had lost his wife in childbirth, and that the child was a freak that day it drew it's first breath. Some said suicide; some said accident. They stopped the line, of course, but the heat that burns metal, melts bones. The body was never found. But the stories flourished.

They said old John Mill haunted the earth still, in a body made of ore and fists like hammers.. But who knows?

I might be able to bring my Crab if I can get him off level 32, unless that's alright. Or if I'm free at that time

Sign Operative Jerico up for the Krimzon Guard!

I agree with the above statement.

    And as for the OP;

A Toggle sounds like an appropriate way to use these. This means there is a chance of detoggling the power and losing the pets. It would have to have a Long-Very Long recharge time though.

Alternatively, have it work like a Temporary Power. Say you have a Mech Man. Your Mech Man has 5 charges with a long recharge time. When those 5 charges are used up you can refill them once every time you level up. This would make it less exploitable.

When an arc is first published, and each time it is re-published, it becomes Untested.

When an Untested arc is successfully played through (by anyone - usually the author, but could be someone else), it becomes Tested.

When a new CoH patch is released (or maybe just patches that directly affect MA), all Tested arcs are invalidated, reverting to Untested until someone plays through them.

When an arc becomes a Dev Choice or Hall of Fame, it becomes Protected (immune to change, can't be invalidated by a patch).

The default MA search should show only Tested and Protected arcs, but under "more" there should be an option to see Untested arcs, if desired. The "my published stories" search should always show all of your own arcs (even if Untested), though maybe a graphic showing which ones need testing would be helpful.

    Advantages of this approach:
    - Gradually filters out stale content.
    - But you can still find the stale content if you really want to.
    - Encourages MA authors to perform regression testing after a patch or a re-publish (note: it's a good idea for authors to do this anyway).
    - Discourages MA authors from writing arcs that are too long/too hard/too tedious, since they have to play through it regularly.
    - If I have a favorite arc by an author who quit the game, I can keep it from going stale by testing it myself.

    Disadvantages:
    - Won't filter out farms (except for stale ones no one is playing).
    - Increases overhead required by an Author to maintain each story arc.
    - Requires some development effort to implement.

It's all idle speculation unless someone volunteers to code it. But here's my 2inf in case anyone is reading it.
    I like PW's suggestion
  21. I agree, but the thing about the AE system in general is that there are so many people using it that arcs are bound to get lost in the sea of arcs, especially ones made around the launch of AE.

Newer arcs, and authors in particular, have less chance of being played because they will have either an 'unsatisfactory rating' or they won't have many play-throughs of the arc, resulting it getting lost in the better, more played and more polished arcs.

Heck, at least fix the AE Channel. Don't hide it away because it's dead. Well, at least it is EU side. You see about two, three people max talking on it at least once a month if your lucky. Most of the time it's only a quick question, no one bothers to advertise their arc on that channel anymore because no one's listening.
  22. The script was excellent, but I just wish there wasn't a deadpan monotone

Please tell me this won't replace the infamous Steelclaw lists! :O
  23. I have to agree with Fleeting Whisper, I find Caleb harder. Tried a lot of times for him, still haven't got it, tried about twice for the Flyer and I have it.
