My bitter, bitter, bitter hatred of the 100k filesize limit is growing steadily.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And this is why I limit my use of custom critters. Also I suppose I should go republish mine since it's probably broken just like the rest.

Edit: Well it's still up and all the stuff looks right. Arc ID #10746 if anyone wants to play it.

I couldn't care less about random people playing mine, I just want you guys to play it and tell me if you like it or not. Also Cham I've changed it since you played it. Several times in fact, stupid Devious and his grammar.

For reference so you don't have to go looking for my other post, it's published as 'A Mother's Nightmare' by Asera Flameheart. Arc number I don't know and I'm way too tired to go dig it up now. Maybe in the morning.

Actually Grey that was me, I didn't leave feedback because I didn't have any to leave. Well technically I did but I was going to post it here if I hadn't forgot. It's fine as is. As for the story, as usual confusing at first but pretty awesome once I took the time to think about it a little.

Although killalls on outdoor maps might earn you a few bad words...

Edit: And if I have to beat you over the head to make you play mine in return then I will dammit

Wait, 6 others? I thought you could only publish three arcs, or is he one of the people who has multiple accounts?

Also Cham, your arc is good but most of the mobs (Most notably the end boss as I said in the comment I left) are mistagged. They have numbers on the end of their enemy group which I assume shouldn't be there, and the end boss is tagged as something else entirely.

Other than that, a pretty decent arc. (Now play mine and tell me what you think dammit!)

"Maybe someone from the island brought a car here in your world's near future."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pax shook her head. "Nah, if it was that then this thing," she waved the device to emphasise. "Would be from the future and I'd sense it, like I told you. And I can't, so I can only assume that this thing is somehow from right here, right now."

She sighed. "Which of course only confuses me further. Really I should take this, humans aren't supposed to have anything like this for a good twenty or so years yet. But I won't, 'cause I want to know where it came from and why."
  6. [ QUOTE ]
"Let's keep whatever security they have busy."

    [/ QUOTE ]

"I'll take care of that", Cassie suggested, not waiting for an answer before gesturing to Mac. The big robot almost eagerly obliged, first kicking the door in and then ripping most of the frame out of the wall as his oversized frame walked through it. Between the noise, the destruction and the pair of humming plasma cannons he swept around the room, chances were any security would be thoroughly distracted.

    -----------

Pax set the weapons aside, focusing instead on the wallet and cellphone. Wondering absently at the two identities - not uncommon but why would he carry both with him? - she flipped open the phone on the off chance that it was both in a working condition and not protected by passwords or other ultimately meaningless but still irritating security measures.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
"YOU stay the hell out of MY way, missy." He snarled, not particularly caring whether or not she had been hit by the blast.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The stalker's energy shield shimmered and flickered as bits of shrapnel rebounded off it, but aside from the lightshow and a few minor cuts from the bits that got through, she was fine.

    [ QUOTE ]
making every group he attacked impossible to sneak up upon if only because dodging that many bullets while cloaked was impractical.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To which Ildela's solution was simple. Pulling a small dagger from her belt (Which in itself was odd, since there hadn't been one there a moment before) she threw it with similar pinpoint accuracy at the offending weapon. She did no harm to the enforcer himself, but his gun would be most definitely inoperable now unless he had powers he wasn't showing off.

With the problem thus removed, she continued on her way.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
"They ask the Lost to guard this place, see? And I'm just here cleaning up the trash."

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Hmm. Fine then, just stay the hell out of my way." With that the stalker sheathed her blade and vanished again, reappearing some distance away backstabbing another fishman before spinning around and laying into the one next to him.

And thus she continued for the forseeable future, practically ignoring the enforcer as though he wasn't even there. Until he did something to attract her attention, she paid him no mind at all.

Cool. Now play mine and tell me how much it sucks - and why.

"This joint is supposed to belong to the lost....."

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Wrong", Ildela stated flatly, that and the sword across his throat the first indication the man would have of her presence unless he had some truly exceptional senses. "This joint belongs to the guy who paid me to clear it out for him. That might include you, or might not. Depends how convincing you are."

She kept the blade across his throat just in case, close enough that if he tried something he'd be dead before he knew it, but far enough away that he was in no immediate danger unless he tried the aforementioned something.

Welp, mine's finally finished. It's published as 'A Mother's Nightmare' (Thanks to TeChameleon for the name) Probably nowhere near as good as you guys', it's more or less an origin story for one of my characters.

If any of you feel like playing it, I'd appreciate some feedback.
  13. Those aren't Longbow. They're custom enemies leaking off of test, and somehow reverting to a default setting in the process

WHY they default to no powers and Longbow models, I dunno.
  14. (( *pokes thread* Khell? Crimson?

    ...anyone? ))
  15. (( *pokes thread* ...Anyone here? Anyone at all?))
  16. "Welp, that wasn't too hard to find", Ildela commented to herself, crouching invisible on a rooftop over the road from the warehouse she was looking for. And it hadn't been either, all she had to do was follow the overpowering smell of fish. Rolling forward off the edge, she flew in a gentle curve to land in front of the warehouse's door, which she then carefully slipped open just wide enough for her to enter without tipping off the Coralax that their death had arrived.

No, that element of surprise was only blown when the first of them looked down at the pair of swords protruding from his (Her? Ildela could never tell with Coralax.) chest before slowly toppling over as the stalker moved on to the next. "Pathetic", she muttered under her breath as she left the dead fishman behind her and vanished from sight again, intent on doing exactly the same to the next one she saw.
  17. (( Have we lost Crimson? ))

    [ QUOTE ]
"That was weird." he remarked to Sarah, still on her shoulder, turning his head look up at her, "What was that all about...?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

What it was all about became apparent as Pax reappeared in that same golden light, stepping out of nowhere carrying not one but two of the strange devices. "Knew I'd seen it before", she commented, holding up the second one. It was different from the first in that it was made of somewhat different materials, but the general principles and mechanics of the technology were the same. It also looked like it had seen more than its fair share of use.

"Got this from some hundred years in the future. Antique by then and on a pile of scrap, so no one should miss it. I'll put it back later just in case though. Anyway..." She turned to Sam. "Wanna tell me why literally futuristic technology is being delivered to your door?"

    Gee Rebel, thanks a lot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I suppose I should add - the end drains are only really a problem for melee characters. Blasters and controllers and stuff should be more or less fine.

Oh, why not? Here are some I think are really good:

    To Hell and Back.

    Welcome to Architect Entertainment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, don't mention that second one's yours. Also, anyone playing it take a character with end drain resistance or a ton of blues, geeze.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
So Clean out those fish and your hired.

    [/ QUOTE ]

At that, Ildela looked a little confused. "That's it? Kill a few fish and I'm hired? Feh, too easy." With that she spun, drained her glass and walked off, leaving the empty glass. She stopped halfway across the room as Tony called out the results of the fight in Faultline. "Feh. Still ahead, even if I lose the other one too." She proceeded out of the room, fading from sight as she went.

"....that stuff BURNS!", was heard from outside a few seconds later as the taste of that drink finally caught up with her.
  22. Same here, was fun. Going to play the others later probably.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
"Ah but you won't always be here now will you."

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Well, I would be if you asked nicely. Or you could always hire me as a bouncer or something", Ildela replied, grinning at him as she took the drink Brian handed her. "Not like I'm doing much else these days", she added before going back to the bar, taking a seat beside Jay.

"Might wanna tell him I'm taken, then." Actually she wasn't, but it was a convenient way of keeping unwanted attention at bay. She even had a fake wedding ring on the appropriate finger.
  24. (( No, she only froze time to get all his stuff away from him before he could use any of it to escape. She'd unfreeze it afterwards. ))
