  1. Woot.....I already had this time off at work 2/8/08-2/13/08. I planned it to originally play Culdcept Saga on XBOX360, since its release is 2/6/08. But I guess I will be playing it After Double XP weekend is done

  4. I have a couple of suggestions regarding teleport.

    1. allow players to teleport using the map (thus eliminating excessive clicking, and the semi discrepency of slotting ie range enhanced 20% whereas run, fly, speed is enhancable 33%.

    /toggle on jealousy "I mean Tsoo sorcerors and Sky Raider porters do it, why can we?" /toggle off jealousy

    2 provide an option to root tp (give players an option to take away the hover effect).
  5. I know this is an old guide but I have a few things to add to this. First its a nice guide but there are some things that are incorrect.

    1) Rage lasts for 2 minutes with a 10-15 second self -def after the effects wear off.

    2) CJ (Combat Jumping) is not really worth slotting for defense, especially for an all resistant set like fire. I would use the two extra slots on other powers like for end redux on acro and tough, since you will be toggle heavy if you take tough, your essential toggles, acro, & cj/hover.

    Burn is not as terrible as most people say it is. I actually found this power quite useful against pvpers, Rikti Drones *hates the hell outta their defense*, nemesis & other bots (as they do not panice from the fear in Burn) and also for some spur of the moment oh crap taking too much melee damage get off me attack. Not to mention this power will be much better if you consider taking one of the group immob powers from the PPP set.

    I find that you first build is good for both PvP & PvE more so then your second build as I find that Fire preforms well without Temp protect. I believe Tough is much better choice as Fire is a Resist set. Just last night my Brute was fighting 4 scrappers and a blaster at once (some katana/sr's a spines/regen, a MA/SR and an Archery/device blaster). It took them a very long time to kill me and I managed to take out the MA/Sr and one of the Kat/SR scraps as well as the blaster.

    Punch is a better power to take over jab in my opinion. The reason I say this is because SS is the "Juggle" set in the game. It can also be considered to be, damage mitigating (as the enemy is on the ground they cannot act against you), great fury building set (complements of knockdown/Knockup).

    Consume in my opinion is slotted wrong. True consume needs acc but with SS you have rage which is +acc. My advice is 1 acc 3 recharges you want this up as much as possible.

    My final coment is on Footstomp. This power is an excellent AoE with great damage to all foes I have delivered about 224+ damage with my brute to each foe depending on fury. My advise take this at 32 you will NOT regret it. Slot it and love it .

    EDIT:

    You will also want to six slot KoB 2acc, 3 damage & whatever else suits your taste. I actually slotted 2acc, 3 damage, 1 endredux.

    Rage is also a six slotter 3 THbuff and 3 recharge once this power wears off its back up again.

    My personal opinion is you are wasting slots on Jab I would only slot this power 1 acc & 2 damages IF I took it (no more than that unless at the very end I don't know where to put a random slot ). I took Punch instead.

    Boxing you should only two slot 1 acc & 1 recharge, you will notice great fury building at a decent end cost. BTW my Brawl and boxing are both slotted that way. I am loving it.

    Air sup (if it is taken) should be 2 or 3 slotted. I recommend 1-2 acc & 1 endredux.

    I was just thinking the same thing. I think 50 is a bit under, but it has been about 6 months since I did a Hami raid so, I could be wrong. I think that 75 would be a better number myself. I also believe that Hami would need a nerf so thatthe goal of defeating him with 50-75 people is obtainable. *remembers the Old version of Super Arachnoids that had a high regen rate, great one shot potential to even Boss pets and slaughtered MM's, Brutes and Corruptors solo*

    I do not believe what I just read, this to me says that I9 with the exception of the invention system "possibly" will be a joke.

    I believe that this system could have been a bit better than what I just quoted, but I will not flame right now as I am in a good mood I will give it til I get home later and re-read the thread and then flame if I feel like it. Though flaming is a waste of energy sometimes its warranted. Bad Posi *smacks Posi on the wrist with nerf-bat*

    I think they "Devs" should implement an in game Influence/Infamy email structure to better inf transfers, I mean in game email is somewhat useless, why not make it a bit exciting and be able to email inf between characters and even ones on the same account?

    TD + Tactics stack, but there's a catch. It's not enough +perception to see hide + invis at the SC level. I previously thought it did. It does allow you to see it at RV, but not at SC just the way the stealth and perception caps work.

    However, hide + invisibility lags. When you're moving and your stalker opponent moves, you can see and briefly target a stalker that is using hide + invisibility. It's just a matter of time that he drops invis and then you can see him pretty clearly. The sure way to get him is to simply pop an insight when you see a stalker flash past you. Then for 1 min, you can see them at 10' regardless of how much stealth he has since you're at the perception cap.

    BTW, targeting drone + tactics + IR goggles all stack. And it puts you at the +perception cap.

    Thanks I thought so and I soooo can't wait on Tactics. Does the +perception cap see thru Hide + invis? Not that I am worried, I generally see a stalker close up and drop the trops in their AS motion and then aim and open fire.
  10. In that case to make the thread more interesting and to give the devs some thinking room for when they view this thread (which they will ) why not give examples of the signature powers from the list the OP came up with? ie name of power, effects etc etc etc.

    I will do this once I figure which what power I would want for which toon etc and once I reread the Original Post.

    How is picking a power of the character that you (the person playing the character, toon, etc) play on a daily basis whether for fun, RP, PvE or PvP a waste of a power just because you classify it as so?

    I have a lvl 23/24 Thugs/dark and I have dual wield and am enjoying the power, though I mainly use for pulling or adding additional damage to a boss I am taking down; I would never tell someone else with the same build that the power is a waste just because I did not take it.

  20. ROFL, Nice Guide. I will try to remember that the next time I attempt to join a LRSF. *looks at bruises from the first attempt* I was the only debuffer on my team Necro/Poison. This is when the LRSF was first introduced. We actually made to the Ms. Liberty Mish, but not pass that. We also had a NLL for a Leader *laughs hysterically*
  21. Well I have a complaint that I am quite sure everyone has gone thru at least once with this new patch, Game Client crashes. I have never experienced this before and every since the I8 update it happens 2-4 times per day. I have tried /unloadgfx and everything even lowering settings (which I never had to do) and I still crash and see many others do it too. It happens mainly on the villains side for mean Especially Grandville.
  22. I also have a Ice/EM tank and I must say that I enjoy havin him. He is mad fun to play and is always busy whether its taunting, healing, end recovery, or herding. I am proud to admit I am happy that this is one toon that really doesn't require the fitness pool. As for PvE I will say that the most trouble I have would be the higher lvl carnies final end drain. Malta I am very surprise to say that with the slotting on the defense of my tank sappers miss me soooo much with the end drain, very rarely do they get to drain any end *praises CJ & Frozen Armor defenses*. I also will say that i have soloed a couple of AT's/builds in PvP that I would naturally attempt to avoid Necro/Dark MM's. I was very impressed with the battle. The MM faced was a really tactical one and had two powers up on me as I was 33 in Warburg. We tied one to one.

    Overall I love this tank far more than any invul toon I have *coughs* ok, maybe not that much, but they are neck & neck. Ice I would say is much more fun to play than invul.

    I have lots of questions as far as Taunt in PvP I don't know where to begin. If there are any PvPers that have this build please PM me. Thanks.
