I got asked last night if someone could join my team. I was solo, and roleplaying, oh, and marked as not accepting invites. While I see your point, I think some of the more complex ideas based around flagging team leaders and such might be more useful overall.
And players who actually read the existing status markers and the notes would be useful too. -
I'd be for it. I get annoyed when mobs run out of my nice Willpower Taunt/Regen aura. If they lost range from the Taunt, they might not be so keen to run off and reduce my regen.

Wanted to stick my oar in. Nice work. The story is a tiny bit cliched, but then, this is a comic-book setting and you've got a nice style for this kind of tale. I'm not a major fan of this art style, except where it fits. I had a drawing of my main done by one of the Draw The World artists and it happened to be similar to your style, but it just worked well for the character, and the same is true for your work here. Nice.

Last I heard about Matrix Online, it was basically a cyb0r chat system with glossy graphics. Must have improved a lot since launch.
-
It would probably be more useful to implement the Mastermind pet emote and voice commands for Veteran pets as well. And would probably use less resource.

An actual clock display, maybe in the navigation box, with a switch to turn it on and off.

Unless, of course, that you just have to have the mondo-ultimate build every 5 levels, which just isn't necessary in this game

No but it does help when your lvl 50 and want to pvp with the best toon you can make,

Like I was saying, "unless, of course, that you just have to have the mondo-ultimate build." -
From a practical standpoint, there should be mirrors in the place, though those could be in the changing rooms out back. It's not like Icon does anything off-the-peg.
From a usage standpoint, there's no point in having them. You can just swivel the camera.
From a technical standpoint, it's cute, but the amount of technology you would need to put in to achieve this could probably delay half the content in the game.
So, nice idea, but no thanks. -
Well, I thought I should add in a few of my characters and such. Work in progress and all that. Not complete yet by a long chalk.

(( Quoting myself, how crass. Further to this, glad I didn't RSVP properly yet since I've now got a family thing that night. )) -
This is basically already in game.
Controllers can do extra damage to held targets. It doesn't matter who inflicted the hold.
I think the main issue would be that every potential power overlap would need to be configured individually, which would take a fair amount of resources from the Powers team. -
Since it was me who started this in conversation, I guess I should stick my oar in.
I have a couple of viewpoints. Personally, I don't do much of this, though that's as much to do with the fact that I really can't be bothered to go to all the trouble of circumventing the game mechanics which make it hard to do as any 'ethical' considerations.
If I'm being strict roleplay, then it's terribly naughty unless all your alts know each other, which is generally considered to be very juvenile RP practice anyway. However, I stopped caring how other people roleplay a while back, just so long as they don't try to ram it up my nose. You get lousy roleplayers in the best of circles, and if you don't learn to essentially ignore it then you end up giving up the hobby entirely.
Clearly, however, when Cryptic originally designed the game, they had stricter practices in mind. I doubt it was for terribly pure roleplay reasons, and had more to do with controlling the power level in the under 30 range. Circumventing that has possibly been one thing which has resulted in nerfs... I doubt anyone who does twink their characters has considered that while doing it.
Anyway, the last thing I swapped between characters was a Revolver recipe, and I did that by sticking it on the CH at a slightly high price and then buying it on the character that wanted it.
I do have Enhancement storage in my SG base (and my SG consists of my alts and those of my RL partner). When I did the Invention turtorial on my 50, the resulting level 30 IO went into storage for someone to pick up when needed. It was that or sell it. I did add the storage on the theory that I could buy enhancements for alts and pass them through the base, but I've yet to actually need to bother, and the alt I'm currently levelling most isn't even in the SG! Quite frankly it's easy enough to make Inf and with IOs there's even less need to be forking out money all the time for enhancements. Unless, of course, that you just have to have the mondo-ultimate build every 5 levels, which just isn't necessary in this game. -

Lets just leave it the Pro's and be thankfully that we don't have to do there jobs.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've done their job, on a much smaller scale, and it ruined an otherwise excellent gaming experience. Being impartial and having to work with the evidence you have instead of what you feel like is a real pain in the nether regions. -
Gotcha on the permissions.
Surely the only non-global storage is the Inv salvage vaults. All the others are global to the SG. -
Yes, I agree that there are a couple of insps that might be interesting, such as Range and Attack Rate. I said so in my initial reply.
OTOH, those were suggested sufficiently long ago that I think the forum has been reset since then and have never been implemented. However, several other insps have been. I get the feeling that we won't be seeing new insps. -
Actually, no. Everyone does not do it.
And I'm not going to start explaining it, because it's been explained so many times that it's not worth bothering.
However, you are mistaken, I don't care whether you can shift stuff between your alts easily, with difficulty, or with an associated six-month ban. From a pure roleplay perspective, I don't like it, but I don't force my RP tendencies on other people. Cryptic did and the constant moans about changign this viewpoint have bored me to the point where threads suggesting easy twinking just make me lose interest.
It'll get changed, or it won't. Live with it. -
Ah, so this has become another "make twinking my alts easy plx" thread. Fair enough. Whatever. I lost interest.
-
I don't think it ever existed in the form you seem to believe it did.
Yes, possibly a bit harsh. Sorry to the OP.
OTOH, what's the point in making suggestions when you clearly don't understand how the game currently works? Perhaps asking questions first, in the questions section, would bring things to light, and then if you still have suggestions after that, then make them. As it is, this thread was headed into total obscurity without any form of reply until I did reply to point out a few basic points of reality. The 'friendly community' was just ignoring the OP.
And if I was being unfriendly, I'd have probably said "RTFM" and not beothered explaining anything at all. -

Though in terms of salvage, ehns, and base salve, making those global, and having more control over permissions (having experienced and seen SG theft) gets a whopping great big /signed from me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure what you mean here. What greater control do you want? And what do you mean by Global? -
We do have an input into moderation, and an amazing number of people who scream about it when it's used. It's called the Notify Moderator button.
Now, I think said button should allow you to enter a reason why you think the thread, or post, should be looked at, but it is there. -
Possibly, but some of the 'mistakes' in there suggest otherwise.
-
Hmmm...
Well, I don't agree with putting in endgame grind for the sake of something to do. That isn't really adding level 50 content, it's just introducing a greater level of grind. It probably would be cheap and easy to implement, which is its only advantage.
As for adding it for lower level PCs: well, you get XP and Inf for stopping muggings and the like, so why add even more reward for it? That's just pushing the risk/reward factor further and further toward the reward side for no real reason. -

A wide range of clothing options.
[/ QUOTE ]
You already have the widest range of clothing options of any MMO in existance, and they are always adding more. If you can actually come up with anything specific, you can suggest it in Jay's Costume Thread (in Dev Corner, IIRC).
[ QUOTE ]
A wider range of actions for comunication
[/ QUOTE ]
Too vague. What do you mean?
[ QUOTE ]
A couple of new powers to try. eg: Shape shifting, Energy draining powers, more gadgets/ weapon range., Maybe a new couple of Inspirations? Mega range increase or Super strength x3 of something like this.
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't understand what Inspirations are, or what Strength is, apparently.
That said, insps for Increased Attack Range, Increased Range, one or two other things, might be good and, I think, have been suggested before. A 'Super Strength x3' insp makes no sense, however since you fundamentally have no strength attribute. Assuming you're after more damage, that's what the Red insps are for.
More powers? Well, yes. I don't think anything you've suggested hasn't been suggested before, and we already have shape shifters in the game: Peacebringers and Warshades. Electrical attacks drain energy. We have a vast array of weapons available under various different power sets. People consistently ask for pistols, but usually on Scrappers because they all want to make Cleric John Preston clones.
Some general advice: learn to play the game for longer than a month before you start making suggestions about making it better. -
So, kind of funny story. I was sitting there thinking about random rubbish and this thread came to mind and I sat there thinking "hmm, what would I have called Glory if Glory had been taken?" Cos I called her Glory on the beta server all those years ago, and I liked the name. She got built pretty early on, so not many names were taken, but it's a good sort of name and I was lucky it was still free.
Anyway, I now have an ice/storm 'troller on Defiant named Glorious Winter.
